I was lucky enough to see Young-Holt Unlimited perform this live 1969 in NYC. Unfortunately, Barbara Acklin wasn't there to perform "Am I The Same Girl" that night.

Very nice. Don't underestimate your ability to make a beautiful sound, maybe even more beautiful than Grover. He would not have wanted beautiful sound to stop when he's dead. He showed us the way.
This is one of the best renditions of Soulful Strut I have ever heard, and I go back to hearing the original on AM radio when it came out. It's just as good as Bob Gallarza's instrumental cover, and that one was great.
