- It's time to restock the pantry! I have $1100 to provide all of our food and household needs for our family of NINE for the month. I've carefully planned out where to shop and what prices are the best. I've studied the sale ads and I know which stores have the best prices. Today's shopping comes from 10 Box, Aldi, Kroger, and Wal-Mart. Later in the month, I'll make purchases from Sam's Club and Azure Standard. I always enjoy these food hauls. All my food shopping is done online as I can't get out now. I live in a semi rural area and the nearest supermarket is only just over a mile away but oh so expensive! I shop with the same supermarket chain I have used since a couple of years after moving out of my parents house. They compare their prices to Aldi, have weekly deals and we can earn Reward Points which is given back to the customer in a voucher. They also deliver (for a small charge which is cheaper than the fuel to get there and back) on the day and time you choose. They know I am disabled, now bedbound, so they knock, shout and come in and put all my freezer and fridge food away as well as most of my pantry goods too. My carers see to anything else. The delivery ladies and men are so happy, respectful and understanding and I'd be stuck without them. The Lord blessed me with some incredible helpers! Blessings to you all ❤️🕯️🙏

Hello sweet lady! I wanted to tell you that I usually don't eat much and making big batches is what I'm use to making, since I learned from my mama and we were a family of 9. So starting this past Wednesday I canned shredded chicken and broth. Thursday I made a big batch of chili and canned 5 qts and today, Friday I canned 7 jars of russet potatoes! Next on my list to do is Hamburger Stew, chicken & dumplings, hot & sour soup, beef stew, pulled pork bbq and many more things. Having been so sick in September, I found myself wanting some of my cooking and my daughter isn't quite at the point to where she can cook what I enjoy. And having a jar to open and warm up is the next best thing. Blessings y'all!

At my Walmart I get a 4lb block of Great Value sharp cheddar cheese for $13.97 which makes it be .218/oz. Only one of the local Walmart has it that size.

our flyers go from thurday to wednesday except for giant tiger(Canadian store) they are wednesday to tuesday so i havent done this week yet maybe tomorrow not sure depends on the weather lol my wheelchair dont like rain hugsssss

I can "ugly chicken" - so easy and the only thing you need is chicken, salt and your jars. Makes a great easy meal of chicken salad, chicken casserole, soup, tacos, etc
I love your shopping hauls. The other day I went to Costco and I had my clipboard and had the prices and size of the items at Sam's Club, and Walmart the cashier made a comment about my clip board that it was neat that I was using it to keep track then I told her that I also had the prices and sizes of all the products she thought that was just awesome. I’m not sure if anyone on here does Kroger delivery but I live in Florida and we don’t have stores just delivery. There’s a $20 off coupon on the boost program so makes the boost program only $39 which is a great deal.

Wish we so lived closer to u. We live abt 60 miles from Aldi. Don’t have a Ten Box. Sams 60 miles , Walmart 30 miles. Our crm soups are like 179 each. Steak is like $9 for 8 ounces.

With the price of gas is it still a good deal to go to a different store just to save a few pennies? I just didn't know if you go to each one of these stores each time.
When I plan, I know that I get 2- 4x the amount to save on fuel points. If Walmart or ALdi's price is close to Krogers price, I buy at Krogers for the fuel points. A lot of times the gas savings are more than saving a little more at other stores. We fill up both of our cars at the same time for $1 off a gallon at least twice a month.

Janice my husband and I have a fairly small budget for groceries each month since we are disabled. I have learned a lot about watching prices since watching your videos but I'm learning to fill in the gaps in my pantry at the beginning of the month and then I try and watch sale adds for the best prices. Unfortunately we don't have any of the same stores as we live in a small rural town. It makes me happy and excited to find great prices on things. We love your family ❤

Grocery shopping is the only kind of shopping I enjoy. I like buying it, putting it away and cooking it. If I could just get someone to haul it in the house for me, I'd be happy! LOL

I do have a question, not meant to be disrespectful at all, I never see in your hauls things like toilet paper, shampoo, soap, ect do you also make some of that yourself?
I’ve seen Some of those things in her Sam’s Club videos, if I’m not mistaken. She does make toothpaste.
Hi Veronica! Yes, like Debra said, I do make our toothpaste. I currently buy our toilet paper at Aldi in the super-mega big size. I buy our shampoo, conditioner, and bar soaps in bulk from Azure Standard. Since I buy so much at a time, I can go several months without ever having to restock. :)

Janice look at the frozen turkey breast or boneless ham it maybe cheaper. I purchased a electric meat slicer for this purpose. Saved a lot of money with 5 kids. Savings paid for the meat slicer.

I know you are trying to budget. Are the stores you go to close to one another? If not, you are using gas to go to each one.
You're not the first person to ask this, so others are wondering the same thing! I should probably track my miles driven when I get groceries each week and just calculate the cost of fuel used to stop at 10 Box, Aldi, Kroger, and Wal-Mart. I'm pretty confident that I'm still saving money, but I'm also curious what the numbers would come out to be! :)

My dearest Janice, once again your video with your wide smile adds an element of joy and happiness so much missing in the world today and I for sure greatly appreciate all the research you do before shopping as my son has taken a few lessons from, “my lady friend from Missouri “. Now more than ever, families are going to have to crack down on their grocery budgets and learn the art of buying in bulk as with now two wars in the world, I fear our country is going to be in a time of all sorts of shortages. I LOVE grocery shopping. It is something I allow myself to spend money on with no guilt!!! And shopping the sales and making my budget is challenging and fun!! I know this says something about the "excitement" in my life, but I don't care!!! So I totally get you!!
My life could not be further removed from yours (other side of the pond, just two now-adult children, suburban living, no garden, no religious affiliations) yet I find your vlogs so interesting. I love how thoughtful you are in terms of your spending, the choices you make and the amount of consideration that goes into it. There are few people in my country (UK) that have to be as careful as you when it comes to stocking up their pantries (if they do it at all), but I feel there’s much we could learn from you about having an eye on the future, particularly given the strange times we have lived through of late…

I probably could, but I have a basic cell phone with no extra memory space, so I can't install any extra apps. I wonder if I can still access those savings through our computer at home? I really do need to check into that more! 😁
I also get excited when I can grocery shop after i paid my bills . I think maybe i have food insecurity since when I was first married we were very very poor I am talking had gas stove rented an apartment and my gas was off for three months no microwave could not afford one . as well as my phone . growing up my dad was self employed so when economy tanked he was out of work we ate so many beans to this day i have problem i can not eat beans i would shuck them til my fingers bleed with my family . dad made me and my siblings a fishing pole from quarter round and string so we could fish off a bridge by our house for food to eat for us . we only had used clothes to wear once year new pair of shoes . mom would pick blue berries all day fill 5 gallon buckets up for us to have . she got scraps of material ( i think remnants or samples ) ? from an out of business drapery shop to make us "quilts" for our beds to keep warm . we grew a lot of our food
I moved to Missouri from Washington State in April .... We are about an hour from Kansas City.... I really wish we had a Kroger close by.... I miss my Kroger.... In WA we had Fred Meyer, a part Kroger family.... Miss it!!

We didn't make any this year because our cucumber crop was miniscule, but last year's was phenomenal. Hopefully next year we'll have a bumper crop and I can make it again! 😁

I got gala apples 2 lbs 99 cents limit 6 lbs. Potatoes 2- 5lb bags $1.50. Brown onions 4 lbs -$1.50 at Food City in Phoenix, Az
Janice great job on your hauls. My friends went to Aldi shopping and an employee was throwing out foods. When the employee went back inside they pulled up next to the dumpster. Some real deals the store could have given away not throwing out. I received three five pounds bags of yellow potatoes, one bag of brown potatoes and four heads of lettuce. Yes, I LOVE to have my pantry full after a grocery trip!! 🤩 Tip for Sarah: SLIGHTLY PAR COOK THE CUBED CHICKEN! It doesn't clump together as bad and if adding to a soup is NOT stringy!!!! And even tho I par cook it, I still dry pack it and cold process it. Janice, as usual AWESOME job!!!🥰 💞🙏🏼💞

As a regular person as referred to in a previous video, I enjoy shopping and comparing prices, looking at sales papers for good deals. I have a stocked pantry not as stocked as some making comments but I can go in my pantry and fix a meal that is not convenient foods. I also like watching the videos for the good deals 😊 I have canned Chicken and Turkey it’s easy. Sarah will have no problems

Hi Donna! I buy toilet paper from Aldi and I get our shampoo, conditioner, and bar soaps from Azure Standard. I buy our deodorant and facial products from a friend that makes them homemade. Since I buy all these things in bulk, I don't have to continually buy them on a monthly basis. We do use cloth pads most of the time, but I will occasionally buy disposable for when we're away from home. Fortunately, we don't go through those packages quickly, so I don't have to buy them too often. Oh...and Debra was right about the toothpaste - I make our own toothpaste! :)

When raiding our kids, my sister and I joked that the Saturday weekly trip to ALDIs was our break from our kids for Mama alone time. And it made us happy to feed our families within our budget too. We also learned that just because something was on sale does not mean we needed to buy it if we did not need it or have room to store it. Yes, it's always tempting to buy something just because it's a good deal, but I have to be mindful of whether I have space for more food or time to spend preserving it. It's really hard to pass those deals up sometimes! 😁

I shop predominately Kroger, with the paper coupons and digital coupons and it’s five minutes away, it’s a win win for me. We only got 2*for the gas points
Watching this first thing because when i opened YT your video came up first with the number of the beast as the amount of views so i wanted to change it to 667....lol..i want nothing to do with that number. But i also enjoy and appreciate the hauls, just wish my prices were as good as yours, but it still gives me an idea of whats on sale. My mail doesn't always bring the ads 😩.

I love finding the deals. My last shopping haul, I shop mostly at Meijer because it's the best deals, I spent $16 but i saved $120. Love your shopping hauls. Great job!!
Did you know at Kroger on the bottom shelf in the veggie area are Smart Way (yellow and white) packaged 4 cans of corn, green beans and peas for $2.59 which breaks down to 65 cents a can. Everything else is 99 cents per can.
