- These are the routines with the highest difficulty on each event (vault, uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise) at the 2024 Core Hydration US Classic on May 18, 2024.

I love Shilese Jones's bar routine. It's so beautiful!
I agree! She's so graceful.
Shilese Jones is one of the few USA gymnasts that I find to be a truly beautiful and fascinating performer.
Most of this video had me cringing! Power gymnastics with no real appeal or fascination!
She is very graceful in her approach to gymnastics, almost marveling dance and gymnastics together.
With Simone, it has never been about having power; it's been about controlling it. It's absolutely insane to me the amount of power she has.
Suni's mount onto the beam was incredible!

Simone’s floor exercise defies friggin gravity! She is unbelievable , once in a lifetime kind of gymnast.
Suni is showing how much she deserved the all around Olympic gold. She just keeps getting better. Simone is outstanding even with all the tiny errors. Shilese looks really good. How many people make the actual team? Like last time it was 4, with two specialists and two alternates? I would love to see a 5 person team of Simone Shilese Suni Jade and Jordon. Honestly several others are impressive as well

Sink’s beam was a gift though. She had a huge bobble that should have been a bigger deduction.

@@tanithschneider3051 It's 0.3 only. With the way the beam is judged. It's better to have 0.3 wobble than 0.3 shape here and there / tons of rhythm deductions.
The queen Simone has the highest difficulty. She keeps challenging herself and pushing the sport forward.
It's just crazy to watch her compete these skills and with such incredible execution and power. I mean to have TOO MUCH power on her trple dbl on fx and her YDP vault is beyond mind-blowing.

Suni, Simone, and Shi really were stars! Jordan pulled out a great AA program and Jades vault and floor will be helpful. That's gonna be the team for sure.

There is not much depth at ALL at the highest level these days. A couple of truly great athletes, followed by a couple/few very good ones, followed by many, many college -level athletes. I do miss the days when there were upwards of twenty athletes who were ALL of Olympic Champion caliber. It's not these girls' fault of course that the code and their training and their federation are letting them down.
@@Vermontist1The US does not have the depth it used to but it still can field a second team that would have qualified for the Olympics. That is still better than any of the other teams out there.
@@aliciamcdonald7105 Agreed. A USA 2nd and 3rd team would still be competitive with most of the other countries' teams.
@@Vermontist1 I disagree. You could make up a 2nd string team that would still be competitive against most other countries. Suni, Shi, Simone, Jade and Jordan could be your A team. B team could be a combination of Skye, Kaliya, Gabby, Joscelyn (when healthy), Leanne, Trinity, DiCello, then you've still got Tiana, Jong, Lexi, and a few others to throw in the mix. They may not dominate, but they'd still be a strong team against Italy, Brazil, GBR, etc.
Joscelyn looks like she’s doing more difficult moves than she’s capable of. I’d rather watch a clean, less difficult routine.
That’s why Simone is QUEEN, she does the difficult stuff…and she does them superbly!
Not sure how long she's been doing full routines since her injury. I was rooting for her, but I don't see her making the Paris team.

Simone's beam is actually a 6.5 of course it's 6.3 cause she missed her mount connection

Suni also missed a connection though. They did not credit her switch 1/2 + ring jump connection. She lost 0.3 (0.2 CV and 0.1 SB)
I watched the whole meet. Everyone brought something new, improved, stylish, and strong to the platform.
No shade, she's amazing but there is something about Joslyn's gymnastics. Just don't find it aesthetically pleasing. I love her laid out full on floor but that's about it
joslyn is so talented but i find that her gymnastics lacks confidence and isn't polished
It’s her form. Shes always struggled, and it’ll sadly keep her off the team.
Completely agree - the extension, line and general artistry is not good when compared to others in the competition
I agree… nothing against her, she’s clearly a great gymnast, but it looks very robotic. I still wish her all the best in the sport!

ALL THESE LADIES HAS DONE A TERRIFIC JOB. BUT SIMONE IS OUTSTANDING IN THE SENSE, THAT SHE HAS THE MOST DIFFICULTIES. SO IN THAT RESPECT, THE LEGENDARY SIMONE KEEPS PUTTING PRESSURE ON HERSELF TO BE THE BEST, STILL THE QUEEN OF GYMNASTIC!

Yes... Simone is the (GOAT).. & she has a lot of difficulties in her routine.. But I want to see her stick the landings. I love watching her because she's amazing.🫠👍
these meets are to polish the gymnasts up for the Olympics, by then they all should be more composed.

Will someone please, PLEASE tell the rule makers to cut the "dance" requirement from beam. It's unnecessary, it's distracting, and I have yet to meet or see a gymnast who enjoys doing it. Either make dance training mandatory for gymnasts or knock it off.
Yeah the difference in expectations for men and women is frustrating. Even the skills, I imagine flying and flipping between two uneven bars to be so much more difficult than two parallel ones or just one high bar. And the requirement to dance and smile charmingly while trying to perform skills with insane focus is another incongruity with the men's sport. There's other points to this argument that bug me a lot.
What must it be like to be able to jump as high as Simone? She just launches herself, effortlessly. Unreal.
BTW has anyone noticed the similarity of focused expression she has with Kobe (RIP) before she does her difficult flips?
The other girls are excellent - but Simone is SPECIAL! Not a single boring moment. I'm no fan of gymnastics, but I can watch Simone Biles all day, every day, and still love every minute of her performances!
It’s because of Simone that I got into gymnastics in the first place since 2016
Simone is outstanding but not as beautiful to watch as shilese (and esp Gabby).. but I suppose with the level of difficulty and power she executes, she's not concerned about looking 'elegant'

As much as I love her, and as brilliant as she is at her best, I'm not sure Suni is going to be healthy enough to make it through to the Paris team.

I miss the mistafina and Ross of it all on bars. The fact that biles is now one of our top bars workers is crazy
Simone can still clear anyone who lost inbar, including Mustafina and Ross. Her bars is underrated.
This is not a 'comeback,' so stop calling it that. Simone Biles secured four gold medals at the 2023 World Championships a few months ago, showcasing the continued rise of an already legendary athlete. Now, Simone has the chance to rewrite history by becoming the first female gymnast in 56 years to win a second Olympic all-around title. The last gymnast to achieve this milestone was Věra Čáslavská, who won in 1964 and 1968. Nadia Comaneci came close, winning gold in 1976 and silver in 1980. Simone also has her eyes set on the elusive balance beam gold that she missed in 2016 and 2020, earning bronze both times. Expect a sensational routine as she aims to add that missing gold to her collection.
Konner McClain's beam routine should be in here, it was certainly one of the most difficult beam routines done in the competition.
I don’t think it was included because she didn’t do a dismount. Technically, it wasn’t as difficult for that reason. She also tore her ACL, so she’s not in contention at this point anyway unfortunately.

She had an A dismount only, so she did not break 6.
She did a timer dismount, so the D level of her routine was not as high as the ones shown - > even more impressive that she still finished 3rd; but of course her execution has all the little details that are rewarded.
Those bars were an issue for so many girls. They use a sub par brand that no one likes.
It’s interesting watching this video after watching best execution video. You can really see the difference in the bar routines. All of the athletes in this video have very visible form errors despite having a lot of difficulty. I’m wondering what the beam routines are going to look like. (Edit: obviously I didn’t see any issues with Shilese’s bar work amd I am glad she was featured in both videos, Simone isn’t too fond of bars either but she looks better than most of the field. What happened with Suni Lee? Didn’t see full competition yet)
Suni has a chronic illness and does not appear to have the stamina for a full bar routine right now. She scratched bars after a fairly disastrous training session the day before.
They need a bigger floor for Simone Biles!!! Fantastic!!

Jocelyn’s skills makes me so nervous!! Her artistry lacks lines and flow. I feel like with every skill she’s going to land on her head or break a bone 🫣
These young ladies are greatly talented and they really did a great job. Their passion for gymnastics is topnotch. I enjoy watching them. More grace to them. I pray we have same passion for Christ Jesus. Jesus loves us and nothing will ever stop His love towards u and I..

Easily the rest are not ready they will crack under pressure at the olympics
My team is simone, shilese, suni, leanne, and jordan, i dont think jade really contributes to anything, unless she upgrades to an amanar and a really dificult floo, but her execution needs to also be good, skye kinda lost her ticket in my opinion because she has shown that she is very inconsistent.
Leanne over Jade is a reach lol.
Imagine how spectacular Simone's vault would be if she ever actually lands it.
She's had some great landings in podium training. I think the adrenaline really kicks in during competition!

Kailya Lincoln’s floor would be scored much higher by Olympic judges than Jocelyn’s, she just doesn’t have the flexibility and straight leg look.
