Just as Pandavas couldn’t choose relatives, India can't choose its neighbours:Jaishankar on Pakistan

  • Union External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on 28 January during the launch of the Marathi version of his book 'Bharat Marg' in Pune, spoke about Pakistan, China and even gave a Mahabharata reference while responding to a question on India’s ‘unusual’ neighbours- He said, ‘Pandavas could not choose relatives, we can't choose our neighbours. Naturally, we hope good sense prevails.’ He further added,’At times there are challenges to national security requiring decisive steps. Obvious example of it is terrorism, we all know how much India has suffered due to terrorism as compared to other countries because other countries don't have a neighbour like the one we have.’

      Yeah we Indians from the south make efforts to learn a language from the north of our mother land , yet the north never makes the effort in learning a south language to bridge the gaps even more , and the north and the south should make sincere efforts to learn a north east language and bring them in , we need unity more than ever now.

      @Kraken Thunder Ambedkar to Hindus was actually like Taslima nasreen/Salman rushdie to Muslims, but the difference is many Hindus accepted, even owned Ambedkar sooner or later and reformed their beliefs against casteism. So called bad upper caste Hindus had a choice not to give Ambedkar a chance considering his hateful views on Hinduism. Change is most of time gradual not abrupt.

    • @kosmischenblizzard5735
      @kosmischenblizzard5735 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Kraken Thunder And, Upper Caste Hindus acknowledge that fact and are actively mending their ways to eradicate their discriminatory practice.. Because, Hindus despite their evils, accept criticisms and are open to reformation.
      Unlike, Islam where they don't even accept accountability for all the suffering they have caused not only in India but the world over, nor do they accept criticism and refuse to mend their ways to accommodate the life of 21st Century Scientific World and anyone who tries to show them a mirror, they immediately start with "Sar Tan Se Zudaa" slogans..

    India's main problems of the past was Jawaharlal Nehru, because he studied in UK from the childhood and very little knowledge and experience of Indian history, Culture and spirituality (Hindu, Muslim, Buddhism, Jainism etc). He born with sliver spoon and his step father Motilal Nehru wants him or pushed him into India politics and freedom struggle. Jawaharlal Nehru lived Play boy and he had no knowledge or respect for Indian holiscripts and rich cultural traditions.

      1. Nehru may have used Pandit in his name but one doubts whether he was a Hindu or possibly a Muslim!!
      He was also a quasi communist & almost a traitor to this nation & Dharma as evident from his offering food to the communist Chinese while they were invading poor Tibetan Buddhists!!
      2. Indic native philosophies or Dharma are way beyond religion as theorized & practiced by Islam or Christianity!!
      The difference is like day & night!!

      @@cytonas3zara It also doesn't mean that he cannot. He was a diplomat, and he is one of the prime contenders to fill in that position after Modi. He is way better face than what oppositions are offering. There are many good faces in both opposition and current government who are a good choice, but the opposition definitely isn't planning to give a push to their good contenders for PM.

      @@cytonas3zara In your earlier comment, you questioned whether he can be a good statesman or not and if he is capable to take tough decisions, so in my reply, I highlighted that he is more than capable to take those decisions and keep our image high on the international stage. I completely agree with getting votes part. So is he a good PM material, yes; can he attract votes, maybe.
