Looks terrific. The heavy rust effect really sells it.

Wow! Never thought fisical chipping would looked better than chipping fluid or hair spray but duh! Why wouldn’t. Great job man! I have try that

maybe it's because i'm not great at hand chipping but I find the removal method to look so much better. theres a depth there that just reads as 'real.' Love the video btw! great inspiration for me to tackle my backlog of Ma K kits.

I agree, it’s pretty subtle but that tiny bit of depth really helps sell the effect !

I think it needs to be mentioned about the painted surface prior to applying a wash. Beginners May not know this. If the paint is waterproof such as enamel, applying a wash with watered down acrylic then removing it with water is ok. If however the wash is oil paint thinned down and removed with thinners/turpentine, the painted surface needs to be protected with a clear coat of gloss varnish, otherwise the thinners will also remove what you’ve already painted along with the wash coat. Gloss varnish allows the wash paint to move around the surface much better than a coat of matt. Once all painting has been completed a final coat of matt varnish can be applied to cover the gloss finish if preferred.
