It's official; a Zelda interview has managed to make me cry in under two minutes. After so many years of projects being done by people who have no passion or a single clue about the IP they're working on, its refreshing to have that passion back in a project. I could tell just from the Link's Awakening remake that there was a love behind it. To have this confirmed makes me even happier that part of the series is being handled with care by an outside developer, and I look forward to more games, be it remake/remaster or a brand new title.
It still feels like a fever dream to get a completely new 2D Zelda game in 2024. Hyrule in the Link’s Awakening remake artstyle? Huge map with lots of things to do and see? Modern gameplay mechanics from the 3D titles? Sign me up! I am so excited to jump into it tomorrow, I’m so ready for this adventure!
Wow... 8 times the size of Link's Awakening's map! ...Twilight Princess could also fit X12 inside of BOTW's map, let alone TOTK... but overall I knew Echoes would be the biggest 2D Zelda game by far... can't wait to play the game tomorrow as I'm avoiding all gameplay online right now...
it is bigger than any 2D zelda map but i didn't say 8 times bigger, it not feels that way, big yes, but not expect something huge
I’m really excited because I had heard someone say it was only a 15 hour game , same size as Links awakening. And that had me a lil worried. Super relieved now.
It is 8 times bigger. They did say that. Do your research.
@@justawyrm I think they were saying it doesn’t FEEL 8 times bigger to them.
@@Lexi-M idk man, just got the game and it feels pretty big, maybe not exactly 8 times bigger, but still pretty big. I haven't explored that much though since I've only had the game for a few hours.
This game is indeed hype
Whilst the map is definitely bigger, you traverse it much quicker
I got an Echoes of Wisdom ad while watching this
It was all about *beds*
I was playing my pre-ordered copy way before this video even posted 😅
ITS HERE
I'm already playing it and it's great!
I just rolled credits. It's a shame that so many people are pirating the game.
I feel like this is the only place I can come for no spoilers rn!!!! But tmrw is the day y’all!!! 🗡️🧚👸
So we waiting for Switch 2 and stay tuned.
Just started playing ZEOW hear in Australia.
Getting so close!!!! 🥲
I’ve been playing the game! It’s so fun!!! How is it going for you??? 😊
@@GlimmerMythra4it’s been so fun! I’m not too far into it. Just started the second dungeon. What about you? ☺️
@@rebeccahannah117I’m on the first dungeon and doing a lot of quests. 😊
9PM PST GANG 🎉
Today for me! I’m in Japan 🇯🇵 😃🧝♀️
I’m looking forward to playing EOW 😊
I am very excited
I’m surprised how little Death Mountain / Hebra Mountain has been shown off, I was even looking for leaked info on it, and couldn’t find **ANYTHING,** no matter how hard I looked! I wonder why that is…? It’s probably just not big or remarkable enough to share about
My game order now says it’s coming the 28 th which is so disappointing because I preordered months ago. Never buying physical again
Mine came a day early. Amazon 👍
The critics giving this a lower score than Link's Awakening is like saying: Let the Switch die already.
I'm so excited!! Alas, I have to wait until tomorrow evening because I'm at work.
From my perspective the Hero Mode is the wrong kind of difficult. I would like more challenging puzzles instead of enemies that deal more damage. But if you're into that then it's of course a perfectly valid difficulty setting to choose. Regardless, I'm sure the game will be fun to play even if it was a bit on the easy side!
Have you ever heard of a game called phoenotopia awakening? It's a 2d zelda like game and it has really amazing puzzles and the combat is really challenging. It's litterally my favorite game now. It's absolutely MASSIVE! I've dropped 70 hours in it and not done yet. There are secret dungeons, secret bosses, massive side quests, deep deep lore, so many secrets. It's litterally a masterpiece. It's a very tough game but really really rewarding. The puzzles are better than anything I've experienced in zelda. A link between worlds is my favorite zelda game and I really liked the puzzles in that game. But the 2d perspective really gives opportunity for creative puzzles and there are a lot of puzzles that require lore and talking to townspeople. But there are also puzzles that require observing the background and solving riddles ontop of platforming puzzles, switch and lever and block puzzles etc. Very creative and there's so much optional stuff that you could play it several times and not experience everything. Anyway. I hope I've sold you on it if you have never played it.
Chris
not if youre in new zealand or australia
personally I won't be playing EOW until after "Switch 2" is out, I don't have a Switch anymore, I'm not buying another one I'm waiting for next gen
i much prefer a series evolve and change over time that just release iterations of the same concept over and over again. you can always go back and play traditional zeldas. some of these zelda fans act like the series was more like pokemon; releasing the same game over and over with very little improvements or gameplay changes over time. i'm super glad the zelda team is nothing like game freak
4 hours left over here in the UK , Andres 🎉
Woohoo!! Have fun buddy!
@@Lexi-M Oh yea, it definitely blends old and new!
Great so far, much improved over LA remake for me and it's all new! Tons of enemy variety is back!
Only minor gripe are that quite a few areas can be claustrophobic and the indoor areas of the game can lack that 'Grand' feel. 🥳
@@netweed09 I’m so excited! So glad to hear you love it. I know for a fact I’m gonna love it!

Argh. I’ve been playing for about 3 hours and unfortunately, the game feels like a chore to play already. There’s a disconnect with the actions Zelda performs and it just feels off.
In tears of the kingdom trying lots of things was fun but this is so stilted.
I don’t think this one is going to stand the test of time.
The game looks lame.
I guess it depends on what you're looking for. It doesn't have the flashiest graphics or the most exciting combat, but what generally makes Zelda games special is how the different elements come together.
Not too lame to click on the video and leave a comment, apparently.
Graphics PS5/Xbox PC Whore
@@zachemmons5354 yah I clicked on the video, watched it and commented. That’s how it works. It looks lame. Have fun playing as a teenage princess.
@@bobcatpnw9123 Will do, thanks. 🥰
