In case you're wondering why Embrace Drain worked against Veldora, it was clearly a fairy type move! So of course it would work against dragon types.
On a serious note, Embrace Drain is an effect of Luminous own skill, allowing her to convert life force into energy, and vice versa.

Raphael was just doing a little trolling, it’s all good. As for the Absolute Guard it works exceptionally well when combined with his Universal Barrier skill, since the two cover for each other’s shortcomings in terms of defensive capabilities.
I’ve held off on mentioning it in case it came up at this point, but Raphael mentioning that Shion’s Master Chef skill can cause Rimuru harm (if Shion somehow wanted to, which she doesn’t) makes Rimuru realize just how stupidly overpowered the skill is. Combined with the fact that just like the rest of Team Reborn, Shion is essentially immune to attacks that don’t damage the soul directly means that she is by far the scariest underling of Rimuru’s. Benimaru and Diablo both have more raw power (and Diablo in particular has both the skills, intellect, and reputation to be exceptionally dangerous in a number of ways), but Shion coming across as the nearly-dumb-as-bricks secretary with a giant sword causes her to be extremely underestimated, even when people would see what she can do with their own eyes (she is actually a little smarter than I make her out to be here, but not a whole lot).
I was not expecting to see Hinata’s pre-isekai backstory here (it originally appears as the prologue for volume 4 of the LN, the end of that volume being a cliffhanger mid-fight with Hianata v. Rimuru Round 1)but I am glad they brought it up. To give a bit more context on that backstory, Hinata is clearly shown more torn up over her father’s death (which she planned and executed) than she was in the LNs. Because her mother was giving away most of the money they were getting to various religious organizations and religious scams in the aftermath, she was planning to also kill her mother but didn’t manage to do so before she was isekai’d (which happened essentially just as shown).
It is indeed The Voice of the World that is granting Hinata her skills (which is the case for all cases of people naturally acquiring new skill. So it should be noted the same happened with Rimuru acquiring Predict Future Attack, that was not Raphael. Raphael still speaks to Rimuru using The Voice of the Workd, just like it did when it was still Great Sage. I am a bit aggravated that the subtitle people used “Preserver” for her unique skill Mathematician, though. The numerical motif was even clearly visible on-screen!
As for the final Seven Days cleric, that was the Sunday Cleric, Gran, whom you have now learned is Granbell Rozzo. The man is such a schemer that he’s the only one of the Seven Days Clergy to make it out alive from the mess they made, and only then because he was using a fake body for his soul to possess for his Seven Days getup.
In the LN, Veldora barges onto the battlefield because he was bored and wanted to be part of the excitement, much like he did during Walpurgis. At least in the anime version, they don’t have to worry about whether all of the Holy Knights overheard the conversation (the Crusaders present were still the only ones to actually overhear, but it was a worry). And Luminous, in all her frustration asks Rimuru if she can “borrow” That Damn Lizard. She barely gets an okay from Rimuru (who’s always ready to throw Veldora under the bus when he was being an idiot) when she starts yelling and screaming and using her drain skills on him (which is one of few things that can actually cause Veldora to feel pain). All in the name of diplomacy, of course.
I think my favorite part is in the end credits where Luminus' eyes glow as she has magic sense cranked up to its highest level so that she can ogle Hinata in the bath. There is a reason people call her the yuri vampire.

Also something I forgot to mention in the reaction that I think is important here..... going back to the sexy tan elf's crystal ball in like... episode 5 I think: she showed the TWO people Rimuru would be with for the rest of his life..... Shizu.... AND HINATA..... and now this episode we had Rimuru trying to gauge how old Hinata is and blushing over seeing her booba..... just food for thought.....
I recommend rewatching this scene with the crystal ball. There was something there, but not what you think haha.
It is meant to show who Rimurus "destined one' is.

All I can say is the bath & sushi scene actually has a lot of very interesting & impactful dialogue between them moving forward, a lot of source readers really (i mean REALLY) hope they didn't wing that aside on the next episode titled "Reconciliation & Agreement" cause that'll be sucks

I think they are going to put it in an OVA because they could not cover it during TV prime time when kids are watching. That is usually the case when there is too much ecchi content it goes into the OVA.

One important info of Mariabell title: Not only is she extremely greedy by nature, but is also the name of her unique skill: greed. That skill is one of the seven deadly sins ultimate skills but it’s currently at the unique level. It’s the same way as when Rimuru had gluttony and later it evolved into Gluttony king Beelzebuth.
Some info about the sins series skills:
Gluttony becomes Gluttony king Beelzebuth (Rimuru)
Greed becomes Greedy king mammon (First Mariabell has the unique one, but yuuki acquires the ultimate by killing her and then stealing her power. And then at Vol 19, Rimuru obtains the skill by absorbing Michael)
Pride becomes prideful king lucifer (guy crimson)
Lust becomes Lustful king asmodeus (luminous valentine, though currently is only at the unique level)
Wrath becomes wrathful king Satanael (Milim)
Sloth becomes slothful king belphegor (Dino)
Envy becomes envious king leviathan (Velzard had the skill in the web novel, and most probably will show in the Light novel during volume 22)
I think the subers made a mistake, that Preserver skill is actually the Mathematician skill. It allows Hinata to calculate and predict enemies' attack.
IIRC, that move Luminus uses on Veldora helps drain the aura that he's been complaining about needing to expel.
If you noticed, Rimuru isn't in the bath with the girls like he normally is.

More details about Hinata's past that got skipped in the anime:
Hinata and her family were just an average family, with the father being caring and had a stable job with his company. As she grew up, her father would lose his job and abusive to his family and especially Hinata’s Mother. Hinata would not stand for this and killed him, but framed it as an accident and her family got a bit more money from life insurance. Despite the abuse, Hinata’s mother still loved her husband, and fell into despair upon his death, and fell prey to religious fanaticism as a coping mechanism. Hinata does feel guilty in causing such distress and felt unhappy that the religious fanaticism preyed upon her mother as it only gave her what she wanted to hear, and this led to her thinking she might have to kill her own mom... Yeah she want to kill her own mom too, but she was transported to the Tensura world before she could
Ironically though when she crossed over she was drawn to the Lumionus Religion because of her mother's faith.
The detail about hinata wanting to kill her mom is from the WN it was removed from the Novel .... in there she is more depressed about her mothers state and feared her mother hating her for what she did and that she was praying so much to atone for her daughters sins ...

To me the fact that she killed her own father in cold blood shows the sociopathic aspect of her personality.
I like the LN showing a more vulnerable aspect regarding the mother as it better explains why she would attach herself to Luminism and Luminous in an emotional manner as she does...

Nah, Hinata ages normally, she's about in her mid 20s and looks more mature than she did when she first arrived. Yuuki doesn't age though. And Rimuru is in his early 40s mentally, so there's a good 15 year gap between him and Hinata, though both are definitely adults. As to whether or not there's a blooming romance there...well, it's more fun to watch you find out!

The skill Diablo use on three luminaries is called "world of temptation" an ability under unique skill temper.
Originally unique tempter did not have this ability. It was a skill that only affect anyone mentally( mind manipulation and such). It's Diablo create it by himself using tempter as base and some other abilities to create "world of temptation" . So Diablo made a skill do something it wasn't supposed to do. Which show his abilities and power aren't limited by the skill and he can do many things without skills.
It allows him to materialize a imaginary world where he has absolute control over everything including life and death. All thing created( like monster and such) inside can be bring into real world using ability called "reality exchange". Last ability is "end of the world" Which destroy the world along with everything inside it.
Only way to resist this by training mind/spirit and willpower to stronger than Diablo's, which isn't easy thing since Diablo is a spiritual lifeforms( also called mental organisms) whose entire things is willpower based and he is a primordial demons existe since creation of the world. Primordial demons are only below true dragons in term of spirit and willpower.

Information for Uriel and Despair Time below, and yes Hinata killed her own Father, there was a bit more information in the Light Novels:
Hinata's father got such a addiction for gambling, he eventually racked up a massive debt from gambling on horse races when Hinata was a child, which made Hinata decide to murder him for life insurance. The Police never found the Body of her Father, therefore he was counted as missing and it was not deemed a Murder. Hinata's mother suffered an emotional breakdown upon her Husbands disappearance and gotten into religion for Comfort, causing Hinata to plan to kill her as well and thus orphan herself. Just before that could happen, on her first day of high school, she was whisked away by a "strong gale" to the Central World when she was just 15 years old.
Uriel (lit. "Lord of Oath" translated from JP) is one of Rimuru's Ultimate skills and one of the seven virtue skills. It evolved from the Unique skill Infinity Prison mixed with a selection of Rimuru's subordinates' skills conducted by Raphael, the effects of Beelzebuth's Food Chain, and some of Rimuru's Common and Extra skills.
Abilities
Its essence is the loyalty of one's followers or the Believer System (loyalty of one's followers. For Rimuru it mainly manifested in Law Manipulation in conjunction with Food Chain), and Spatial Management.

Satoru was 37 when he came to this world (which I won't name cause spoilers). Hinata was 16 and she's been here for 10 years but looks the same. Rimuru has only been around in this world for 2 years.
So Rimuru is mentally 40 and she's mentally 26 with a teenager body.

Great Sage/Raphael are a skill unique to Rimuru no one besides him has it and words of the world is essentially the announcer of the world that ANYONE can hear upon obtaining a skill or a major world event is happening nearby like the harvest festival of someone

Raine was not mentioned to have been explicitly there in the LN, but it is a natural assumption that she could have been as part of her duties. That said, given what we learn about Raine in volume 17, I am somewhat skeptical that she would have actually been there in the LN.
Shion is basically orc in 40k.
Normally not the biggest fan of these kinda comments, but this is a kinda pet peeve i have with the manga/ln translations. In japanese diablo is literally a "Demon Lord" (as is in japanglish, 'Demon lodo' basically, you can also hear Diablo say this to Saare in the previous episode) but for localisation sake they translated it as demon peer, this is because basically every localisation for fantasy anime/manga refer to "Maou" (effectively translating to "Ruler of Evil, King of Evil" etc.) as "Demon Lord", which is a different entity in this series. I personally like "Daemon Lord" a lot more because it's a better, more accurate translation middle-ground without trying to completely revamp the usual "Demon Lord" that is used in everything and causes an issue in this series.
tl;dr: Demon peer is stupid imo Daemon Lord is more accurate, just not the widely accepted localisation. I don't stand up for subtitle makers often but they did well here probably without knowing how it is in the ln/manga. Most manga/LN readers probably just read the english translations, but when you compare it to the raw it's really weird imo. But either way those people will probably complain about not using what they're used to so /shrug, not like it *really* matters anyway just bugs me.
Also am sad they smooshed everything into the ED there, Luminus being like "oh man I gotta thank Rimuru for putting me in the bath with Hinata... I need to have one made when I get back home" and everything else that happens during the return to the city and the dinner are highlights for me.

Fun fact if anyone has any real chance with Rimuru, it is Hinata. To clarify, I meant who he can actually see as potential partner. I don't mean those who have absolute/fanatic/devout/undying love for him, and frankly their love is not reciprocated. Chloe is older than Rimuru isn't she. She's a world traveler...and time travelled for a long time. And has been in many timelines. So I doubt he'd see her as still a kid.
@@wkadalie true, for the most part it is probably because it's only been months since he last saw her as a child and can't really accept the sudden jumped in age and appearance that he was a little slow on accepting. Especially with Chloe jumping from child to adult from time to time.
All the ending stuff was SUPPOSED to be next episode. Its literally the first chapter of Vol 8 in the LN. I DON'T KNOW why they rushed it. They have plenty of time to cover it.
Because it's the end of Cour 1 with new PVs released for Cour 2, so the ED is different. We'll wait & see until the preview of Episode 11 is released

I have been watching anime for a long time, so I can say some Japanese words and phrases pretty well. 😁
I desperately wish they explain how ridiculous and cool Despair Time is, as well as End of the World. It's not even something that Tempter skill can inherently do. Its not a skill but original technique or Art he created.
Basically he creates a virtual world that only exists in the targeted individuals mind. The using Reality Exchange subskill he exchanges the virtual world spiritual world for a material one. Which means anything in that world that Diablo imagines can physically harm you. Then by collapsing the Temptation World he's developed an Art called End of the World. Which justs destroys the virtual world and everything inside it as if it never exists. So it erases you from existence.
Although I will say that for Diablo to effect ANYONE with this skill they have to be weak enough to have their mental defenses penetrated. If low level skills like Charm or Thought Domination don't work on you then you he can't really do much to you.
So it wouldn't work any relevant characters anyway. Especially those with strong spiritual and/or mental defenses.
Read the manga....it shows the feast and what they talked about. Not sure why they put it in the credits. Honestly.....they packed too much in this episode. Should have split into 2 episodes. Maybe they were trying to reduce the meetings....since another one is coming.
