As a Gen Z Brandy fan, this interview being posted means soooo much to me. There's so much lost footage of our Queen and it makes me feel like she's forgotten or left to the side! I feel like I can have insight to a time where I wasn't even born 😂
If you meet someone from England, you're learn that she's not being shady or rude rather. They tend to speak in a blunt, raw, straight forward manner. She also gave Brandy to opportunity to speak not only to her fans, but to her haters as well. I LOVE YOU BRANDY! THIS MADE MY DAY! SEEING A NEVER BEFORE CLIP - BEING THAT I'VE WATCHED JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING OF WITH YOU!
Looking fresh faced and ready to work! Then she plugs her own song at the start by saying she “puts that on everything”. She handled this interview with such class and she always carried a regal quality wherever she went. So excited to see something new from then never say never era!
Who is this person interviewing? She was not it, but Brandy navigated it well enough. The less media trained artist would have struggled with this style of questioning here, so kudos to Brandy. A great vocalist has to know how to capture emotions, or find a way to relate to a subject matter for it to convey the right way to an audience and fanbase. Being such a gifted vocalist, with her own sound at the time with her tone and precision of her riffs, made it so easy on the ears to enjoy. That NEVER SAY NEVER album is a classic! Brandy, Aaliyah and Monica as young ladies really brought that freshness to the industry in that era of the 90s.
I wrote a comment that was supposed to be a response to yours but ended up as a separate post. The interviewer was shady and messy. Brandy handled it with the class. Interviewer thought she ate with her gotcha questions. Brandy was emotionally and mentally mature and conveyed the emotions of the songs flawlessly and effortlessly. An iconic, flawless, culture-shifting, classic album ❤
The interviewer is shady and condescending. Brandy was emotionally and mentally mature/intelligent enough to know how to convey the emotions of the song. Young people have childhood experiences, crushes, romances, friendships, pain and trauma, and some have wisdom and intuition beyond their years.
As a real Brandy fan I believe some asked that question but once Brandy broke it down she seemed convinced. It’s ok to say it out-loud and gain new information. As an artist you have to be real and still sell the product lol.
She's been through so much and Brandy has bounced back each time, evolving as an Artist and sounding completely different on the next project. She's an unreal talent
Brandy handle this interview with class. The interviewer was being somewhat of a bully. She asked the same question at least three times. Because she didn’t get the answer she wanted. She wasn’t expecting nineteen yr old Brandy to be this intelligent. It’s offensive to the guess and viewers when an interviewer continually cut their guess off.
Ive heard a lot of comments here saying that the interviewer is shady. I dont believe she means to, i think its cultural. The Dutch are very blunt, direct and straight forward - to the point! They dont beat around the bush... Americans on the other hand tend to be a bit less direct and tend to talk around subjecte more. Brandy looks uncomfortable throughout this interview, however i think its down to culture clashes.
Wow I Knewwwww it! We were supposed to be getting a Whole Album with Babyface for her Sophomore effort but He was clearly cooking every where for every 1 those 3 years so she had no choice but to find another producer! Obviously it worked for her best interest in regards of mainstream success with her Futuristic Minor Chords & Heavy String = “Dark Child@ Sound BUT also we could have gotten much more soulful & crispy vocals for that album than the Pop-Stylistic vocal arrangements we got for NSN which sometimes lacked power, agility & soul! Not it was a bad approach but I always wondered how she would’ve performed vocally if she went with her old producers & sang pure R&B 100 % during that 2nd era!
This interviewer is so insensitive like whoa, constantly questioning Brandy, having a superiority complex cos she's older than her. B's a lot better than me, cos I would've went off on the interviewer. I would've said sis, if you were immature when you were 19, that's your problem, cos ik I'm not 😂

God bless Brandy. Because another artist would've checked this interviewer. Deadass.

Sylvana Simons
I just mentioned something being off about the interviewer. She seemed to not be a fan, and I truly dislike it. Brandy is beautiful inside and out.

I've never seen Brandy angry or talking disrespectfully to others
