    Hey Tylynn,
we had exactly the same problems with our wall, no chimney but the wall was as dry as the gobi desert. until a neighbor recommended a notched trowel, from then on everything went much easier, although it took us a week for the whole wall.
    10 x 35 feet. over corner
You both did a great job and the children did a good job too.
it was fun watching you at work
    greetings from Germany.

You Ma'am, are an absolute badass. Excellent work. I'm definitely taking notes on this one. My wife and I re-built two flag stone retaining walls ourselves. 4'x26'. My lovely wife handled all of the mortar and I set/cut the stone. I've been an automotive technician for 26+ years and let me tell you, my hands never hurt that much at work like they did after this job, ever! Now we're going to tackle a fire place 22' tall x 6' wide. You're video has given us the courage to do it again! We definitely are questioning are life's decisions during all of this remodeling , but you're right, it's all worth it in the end!

We spend the majority of each project questioning our life's decisions 😅 You can do it!! Masonry is not for the faint of ... hands 😂

No rest for moms 😂 I’d never get anything done or filmed if I waited until no one needed me haha!

I got it at a local stone shop, but it's Cultured Stone Country Ledgestone in Echo Ridge. www.culturedstone.com/profile/country-ledgestone/#cl-echo-ridge

This video has no direct application for me, but I have several real stone projects that will benefit from your insights. Amusing observation: I have the same Gorilla ladder AND, like you, I haven't removed the plastic wrapping the instructions to one of the rungs, even tho' I've owned (and used it) for several years.

Haha I never even noticed I hadn’t removed it! Guess I just unloaded it and started working 😂 Also several years ago 😂
