Those were the years 2000 and 2001, relative short, but with some darn good trance music, like with all dance music before that in the 90s, all so freaking good. After 2001, when 2002 began, it went all downhill. Back then Club and Lounge came into the picture and it took until 2007/2008 before we got 'somewhat' back in the form of jumpstyle, but a in total big hole of 10 years went by, between the end of 2001 and the end of 2011 when Hardstyle came into the picture. The current Hardstyle festivals are pretty amazing, but the atmosphere it totally not the same. All those people these days, with their ingrown toenai** I mean smartphones, they don't know how to 'enjoy' the music, despite those festivals are pretty good, with the lasers, the lights, the fireworks, even drones flying through the fireworks, and still those boneheads are filming it themselves. They don't enjoy what they should see and feel 100% with your body and soul, like they did here. You can see it completely in this video, how the people IMMERSE and enjoy the energy they feel in the music, just look at 2:32, see ALL of them dancing, and compare it with every Defqon1 endshow, where they all stand still, and FILM the whole thing. And even today this song evokes strong emotions when seeing how these people really enjoying it. I wish people these days realized that youth is not forever, and 20 years from now; they will realize.

Oh my gosh, is this really 18 years !!! ago??? It seems like yesterday. When Sensation was still at least a 'TRANCE' festival. But still that bassdrum kicking in at 1:45 gives me chills through the spine....imagine the sound in that Amsterdam Arena stadium.
When Trance still wasnt mainstream and ruined by greedy Artists who sold out and let EDM in to Trance . Such Is Life is one of the best vocal Trance EVER made 10/10
I think I like this version better than the Official Version. The sound has more depth even if most of it is just noise. It leaves me searching the music more rather than having the melody simply presented to me.
This is one of quite few melodic trance tracks that is more magnificient in the vocal edit. And as for the version in this video - it is pure perfection. This video changed my life back in the days, and pushed me in a direction which ended up being an amazing adventure as a music artist for a few years. Rank 1 is still one of my personal favorites, along with Armin and Ferry. I just wish that more producers would stick to this genre nowadays... Look at Gaia and Gouryella - that's still magic to my ears!

And "I Love the 90s" is 10 years later still going on. And here in The Netherlands we have "Pump up the 90s", usually held twice, in Assen and Emmen (Northern Netherlands), and also "We love the 90s", somewhere around the city of Nijmegen (southern Netherlands).

Hehe, I think they might not, and honestly, camera crews might have had to search for people playing with the camera a bit and if they didn't succeed quickly they might have communicated with body language a bit to evoke a response ;). Videocamera's sometimes evoke the weirdest, funniest or most remarkable of responses in people, which was true for the year this was made in, and is still true to this day (though it has become different due to the enormous availability of camera's in smartphones and people misbehaving while handling camera's in general out of the idea that people will not be rude with a camera pointed to them).

They still produce and do live shows like this, just a rare thing these days. They did a "live" show at EDC and Nature One I think. The one guy still DJ's all the time though, but Benno is only for these kinds of shows.

Honestly, I have been unable to find any information on that, there were three founders of ID&T (and honestly, trying to lookup this story I found out one of them was actually born in my city) and Sensation White was for the simple fact they wanted to make a distinction between the lighter, euphoric trance styles compared to the techno and hardcore at Sensation Black so if you had a preference for one of those two, you'd be better off with buying tickets for one of those two instead of having those styles mixed and risk having an audience not being very much into the style played at certain times. I couldn't find anything on one of the founders getting killed in a car accident no matter how well I searched.
