Senku is playing a bit of an intimidation game here because he needs to impress them, but he really understands how amazing it is that Chrome learned all of that stuff on his own at that age from scratch. i hate that they cut out Kohaku also being good at math. it comes up in an important part later in the manga! Kohaku isn’t just a gorilla, she’s a gorilla that can do two digit multiplication in her head!
In the manga, Senku estimated she's basically average in intelligence, neither smart or dumb (a bit more smarter than Kinro, not as smart as Yuzuriha), if given a modern education she'd be the C grade student (Chrome on the same scale was equal to Tsukasa, only a bit below Senku himself).
