It's not the destination that is the most important, but rather the journey. When I play Spirit Island, I don't always choose "the best" powers. Sometimes I just want to try a new power or some weird synergy/strategy that could be fun or I could fall on my face. I don't always play Leadership/Mass Ally even though this is probably the best way to do well at Marvel Champions. I personally like when games have a lot of ways to tweak the difficulty (Spirit Island can go from 0 -> 11+) to make it more accessible to a wide audience and a lot of variability (MC has 40+ Villains/Heroes/Mod Sets) to keep me coming back to the same great games without falling complete victim to the Cult of the New.

I generally don't mind losing (especially when it is really thematic, like most of my losses in Final Girl) because I usually still had fun and there is generally something to learn from the experience.
This is especially true for competitive games. I like to try new strategies each time, or put arbritrary constraints on myself as a challenge, and see how it plays out. I don't mind losing to others as long as everyone has fun.
With cooperative or solo games specifically, what I don't like is when I lose over and over again and feel like the only way to win is by getting incredibly lucky. When I lose, I want it to feel like I could easily have won, and when I win, I want to feel like I easily could have lost.

I think the same is true with TMB, as much as I want to win every time, the game would throw a monkey wrench at me 😅 i enjoy winning as much as i enjoy losing and learning. 😊

Loving the discussion videos. I think it would be really cool if you have time to make one going over standard vs expert and what your preference is and the pros and cons you have for each difficulty.
For me personally I do t mind losing and the risk of losing makes the game more exciting to me. I mainly play on expert although I can still enjoy standard.
Where I do get losing fatigue is when I am bashing my head against a villain for a large set of games. Recently was trying to do Thor vs Expert Loki and I lost like 7 times in a row and it caused me to take a few week break from the game. I probably should have just switched hero/aspect or went to standard but I was too stubborn for my own good.

I get an odd idea into my head and try see how far it can go through the rogues gallery of villains.
It all started when I asked “Why not WandaVision”
This summer my goal has been to craft a definitive four-aspect X-team. One that can be mixed and matched in two player and still come out shining.
Hot takes: Aggression was easy. Leadership has yet to be filled.

I don’t mind losing in Marvel Champions or United because it’s a 30 minute game. Start over, try again. But I won’t lie; I hate losing a long game like Power Rangers Heroes of the Grid. After committing for 3+ hours, I want a W

I lose a ton in solo, since it's solo I less care
While I play against other I even lose more 🤣 to that I can be a bit angry but that why I play less with people
So... You are not alone or a minority its OK to lose
