i noticed on every Cyclops’ optic visor (on his right, our left) right above the red “lens” there is a chip/indention I guess is just manufacturing problem when they come off the line. I’ve seen it on every one in store and on others that have reviewed this pack.

The only paint issues I've had on my set were some weird brown dots over one of the Cyclops alternate heads, but I was able to simply scratch those off. Unfortunate that you couldn't find one with good quality paint because this is easily my favorite set of the year.
I’m super nervous to buy this set online but I doubt I will ever see it in stores so guess I have to play the paint lottery. But that jean Grey and Cyclopes are a must and that wolverine is a nice upgrade.

I PO-ed this set. Hopefully I would be able to choose a nice paint app. This is a sure good starter pack but the Rogue figure is the one that is harder to find for a decent price nowadays. :(
You’re wrong, by the time cyclops had the hairless suit in the X-Factor comics there was a button built into his glove to open the visor so he could do it hands-less. He no longer needs the two finger hands by that point.
On the upper torso , the light orange on the side of the chest (and under the arms) is too thin ... The dark blue is very visible ! ...at least on my copy and the second they had in stock !
SO i preordered mine form bigbadtoystore when they were announced....i didnt get it until last week BUT NONE of the problems you had....zero. all three on point! sometimes it pays to wait!
I got GREAT paint apps on Cyclops and Wolverine, and I sacrificed perfect paint on Jean’s costume to get perfect paint apps on her face. It’s easy enough to remedy, but the fact of the matter is we shouldn’t have to remedy it. I’m not a stickler for paint apps but I don’t think Hasbro should slack either. Overall I’m happy with my set. It’s not THE BEST THING EVER, but it’s good enough.

I personally don’t think that the rogue body would work for Jean. That body is just too muscular for jean. Perhaps the wasp body would’ve worked better, but that body has had problem with gummy knees. I think the body they used is pretty good considering that almost all of it is a new sculpt. Would’ve been nice to get some power effects for jean and Scott.

Worst wolverine headsculpt next to the weapon x unmasked. It's the garbage black leather version of wolverine intro'd in E for Extinction. Generally the worst look for the x-men but wolverine was the worst in the bunch. No shirt leather jacket... Seriously it was a thing.
They used a blue molded plastic for the jean head its not blue paint. Would have been great if they used a flesh tone plastic for her like they did to the family matters Scarlet Witch but I love that Jean default head nonetheless, the seductive and sexy slightly open mouth I'm sold!
I knew having 3 figures in a pack would be a problem! Especially with Hasbro’s QC issues with their paint apps... I’m just like you when it comes to paint, I’m very picky. That’s why I pre-ordered 3 packs! If I have to swap the figures around to get the perfect 3, and then just return the other packs, so be it! I guess it’s one advantage of living in the states... our stores have return policies...😜 I can only imagine the nightmare the Alpha Flight pack is going to be!🤦🏻♂️

These are toys. The paint is going to be NOT perfect. If you want perfect you need to look for higher end figures.

I get what you're saying, but this is a review for collectors and hobbyists, not primarily kids. Also with the price of figures these days people demand a bit more.
actually if hasbro sold these at the price point of toys then i wouldn't have a problem. but out here in Manila, hasbro toys are going for an arm and a leg and a kidney. so yeah, i'm going to complain as much as i want.
