I’m always amazed how good my gardens look when I leave for vacation. When I come back it looks like a mess I think your right Kim daily maintenance is the key.
Hello from London UK dear Kim 😃 It is so nice to catch up with you after your holidays and you do look radiant. The heatwave that has affected the US Southern States even made the news here in Europe and it is no surprise that the storms that followed were severe and intense. I believe that your gorgeous Hydrangea blooms should dry out from the rain. Your Sun Hostas blooms are gorgeous ! Many plants that you have grown from seeds are doing very well and will inspire many of us to do so for next Spring. Your Lilac Hibiscus is really healthy and may find a new home in Fall ? I do love dried flowers heads that remind us of happy Summer days even in the heart of Winter. It is thanks to you that your "visits" from the deers often happen after the rain. It is indeed a very good thing to tour our gardens regularly in order to spot early signs of pests or diseases. Here in London UK the temperatures are set for a "boiling" 75 degres Fahrenheit in the next few days 😅 Loving the crazy Potato Vine and how gorgeous is your Angelonia ! Your front porch is so beautiful with your SunPatients is stunning and what a lovely place to sit on your rocking chairs with a nice cup of coffee in the morning. I love Lysianthus in flower bouquets. You are so lucky to have Dawn. A lovely idea would be to do a video at sunset when your lights are coming up as your garden must be so enchanting in the evenings please. A good tip to keep your water feature flowing well with a nice clear water is to use one cap of All Pond Solutions water feature cleaner treatment that is also kind to wildlife. All in all your garden is looking good but I guess that you have your job cut out to clean it in the next few days. Wishing you a lovely day 😊💚
Here in SC:this year has been the most stinkbugs I have ever seen!(3types) They are related to the squash bug family too! I had sawteeth larvae that attacked my PW Hibiscus, ate up a lot of my Creeping Jenny, and one of my 6feet butterfly Bush which I cut down completely to the ground and it came back and is 4 feet high blooming!🙌🏼NC was over a month behind us on the sawtooth larvae attack!😂 Did you use rose tone on your Lilac crush roses? This is my first season with them and they are not blooming right now either... Time for me to fertilize again. Thank you for showing real life gardening!🙌🏼Your garden is still gorgeous! Don’t forget beer catches snails and slugs!Just pour a little bit in a very shallow container and you will be surprised how much it catches!Your husband won’t miss it.😂 last year after a lot of rain I had so many slugs and snails I think I caught every single one because I don’t have that problem this year🤣
Here in Houston, we are still recovering from Hurricane Beryl. The hurricane hit 15 days ago, but my garden still hasn’t bounced back. It’s a bit overwhelming! Your hydrangeas are beautiful, even droopy!
I feel your pain! We’ve not had nice steady rains…we’ve had downpours here in southern Illinois. Over the 4th of July, we had approximately 12 inches of rain in about 10 days. Fortunately, once you trim back a lot of your plants, they’ll look great again…but it wreaks havoc on our hydrangeas also.
No ,the opposite for us in East Tennessee in over a month we have had 2 5 minute rains almost 5 inches of rain def Plus I have rabbits which I have never had before and a ground hog that I definitely haven’t have had before, and only eats my my pink cashmere verbena ,we put out live traps trap but haven’t seen it sense 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️. It’s never ending Hope your vacation was wonderful. I would let thing dry off before pruning the storm damage. 🌿🍃
Your garden still looks so pretty! I was wondering if you don't have a lot of mosquitos. I seem to always have a lot of mosquitos under my plants in my garden beds.

Those hydrangeas are so pretty, I wouldn’t mind them drooping. ❤
Hope you enjoyed your vacation, Kim. Work, work, work!
