- Didn't take much getting this beauty back on the road. New alternator, coolant temp sensor and replaced some o-rings in the AC system. Now it's time to haul some kids around!

Wait, ..."shouldn't have any refrigerant in the system" sounds like something UBT Robbie would say ?😂
i was thinking the same thing from where it blew up in his face haha
lol I got lucky!! I did throw my gauges on it beforehand to see if there was any pressure in the system.
Those GMC Safari & Chevy Astro Van's Where Awesome Work On Especially 1984-94 Era A Upgrade Lowered Suspension Would Be Perfect For Power Tour 2024 @ Yeah Buddy Garage
I had a white 1 and put 15x10 Boyd Coddington wheels on it
Hope to see this thing at Field of Dreams! Love it man
I've never wanted a van more then ever! Your plans for the van is exactly what I would do!
Yeah! Spinnin them tires!!!
Yeah buddy!!
Damn the suburban didn’t even hold that much Freon lol
That alternator makes good target practice it's how we do it in az yeah buddy
Besides the compressor seals already mentioned. Take a good look at the rear AC. Very common for leaks to happen back there with all those lines running to the back of the van.
So far so good but I will definitely be doing a deeper dive if I have any leaks!
Great video 🎉
Sad someone actually had to put that alternator in the box. Quality control nowadays is nonexistent.
I like the utility vans without back windows. Idk why light weight for burn outs i guess
My burn out was pretty weak and now it's throwing ABS codes 😂
I have a Safari XT with AWD. I am waiting for the 4.3 to take a dump. I have a 600 hp LT-1 that is going in its place. I love this van but I will love it more with the v-8.
The AWD versions are awesome!! I've thought about converting this one to AWD since it's so clean.
@@yeahbuddygarage it's easy. Do it and please put it on video.
It will make a good camping rig for events
Exactly!
Not and old schoo; one wire,, A/C leaks are typically easy to find... Follow the lines.. oily dirty spots are dead givaway... real common on those is front compressor seal. don't try to repair seal replace compressor.... We used Nitros back in the R12 days... By the way... your van was R12 and you are puting R134 in... Do not use same quanities.. High pressure is a little high... must have tajen on a little air when changing cans,,, not really an issue...
Polish the wheels tint the side windows get cold ac polish the paint done
That’s exactly what I’m thinkin!
Question. Wouldnt have been to buy to an altenator at an Autozone/Orielys so if there is a failure on the road it can be replaced free of charge or does autozone honor it since its AC delco?
Possibly but I've had terrible luck with other brands of alternators so I wanted to go with AC Delco.
I thought the van was so you wouldn't have spend any funds on hotels.
Great content like always😊
I got the hotels before I got the van 😂 There still might be some camping adventures on the power tour!
Baseball Bus
Why not hit wrecking yard for parts if it’s about budget?
You could! I stopped by our local yard the other day and a worker told me they don't have much from the 90s and pretty much crush them right away. Getting harder to find parts for these vehicles.
That’s why I never buy car parts or tools from Amazon.
I’ve bought plenty of parts from part stores that have immediately failed. It’s not on Amazon, it’s on AC Delco for letting that leave their facility.
Ls swap it and go hurt some feelings !!!
I have been thinking about it!
