This method can work against any FOB defense. S++ snipers are the most difficult to sneak past without being detected, but it's possible. In this video, I was unable to achieve the perfect stealth bonus or the no reflex bonus as the visual range of alerted S-ranked snipers is higher than that of short- or mid-ranged guards.
Tips:
- Roll. Notice I am looking in the direction I am rolling most of the time. You can roll in the direction you're looking by holding "W" on the keyboard or pushing forward on the control stick. Using the binoculars/ADS can quickly change your direction.
- Once you destroy anything, extract a guard, or put the security team on alert, a defender can wormhole in to defend against you. If you pay attention, notice that at around 7:12 the online connection icon triggers in the top right hand corner of the screen. That was either when the UAV crashed or the security call went through, not sure which happened first. It does take around 30 seconds for a defender to respond, choose loadout, and load, so there's always a bit of time before you're in trouble.
- One benefit of infiltrating against higher ranked guards is that they actually are more easily distracted by magazines. E-ranked guards look over for a few seconds and then go back to whatever they were doing. S-ranked call their buddies and run over, look around, and then go back to whatever they were doing.
- Cameras can notice you at about 20-25m, and unless you move out of their visual range, you will be spotted. UAV cameras work differently, if you remain stationary and prone, they will lose sight of you and continue on their path. In both cases, it takes about 3-5 seconds for them to notice you if you're rolling away, so if you can move out of view, you'll be fine.
- Avoid the platforms where two snipers hang out if you're infiltrating against snipers. That leaves only one side across which to cross a platform, but on the first platform, this means you only have to deal with one or two guards at the most.
- At around the 7:20 mark, I take a couple of shots at the corner of the power generator to disable it and remove the threat of cameras or the anti-theft devices.
- The gas from sleep grenades obscure vision in the same manner as the smokescreen from smoke grenades, but with the added benefit of tranquilizing any guard within its effective range. At around the 8:42 mark, notice that the guard spots me through the gas. He has nightvision, which removes that benefit of the sleep grenade.
- Also around the 8:43 mark, notice that I have almost a second after reflex ends to neutralize the guard before an alert is sounded. You don't get that time when a camera spots you, the alert is sounded immediately after reflex ends.
- Anytime you fire a silenced shot that hits something, guards in the vicinity of the bullet impact get a general idea of your location. Any sound you make does the same thing, like extracting a guard.
- Any distraction directs the attention of guards elsewhere - note my usage of the sleep and stun grenades as I moved up the command platform. If I did not do so, there is a chance that the snipers on the previous platform would see me.
- Not 100% on this last one, but there is almost always a weather effect that occurs when I infiltrate at 0600. Rain, mist, clouds, these are all beneficial as the lights won't be on during the day to decrease their advantage. - เกม

My advice to new players: don't try to stealth right away. Bring a silenced weapon to help you move undetected, but bring some heavy guns to take the guards down. Once you start to play in the ~140,000 - 55,000 rankings, every FOB will have full battle dress guards, uavs, mortar teams, etc. You simply won't have the gear to play stealthy at that level unless you have crazy accuracy with the tranq gun. Get used to the first few guards you need to distract/neutralize for each platform (esp. Base dev & RnD).
Once you start to get a good feel to the game, you'll start to understand how to mess with the AI and get where you need to go undetected. In the beginning, get ready for some firefights. I see a lot of people's profiles, and I think they got to a point where they couldnt even beat the computer and quit, because they were trying to play stealthy. Understandable though, because the game frowns upon killing, but makes it much easier/ more fun than using non-lethal weapons.

@Marky D That's how I started. Kill as many as possible as quietly as possible then have a machine gun ready when it kicked off.
Of course, stealth is preferable these days. The AI isn't as infalible as it seems once you gain some experience.
This is so true. When I was starting out, the thing that surprised me the most was the detection range sensetivity difference between FOB and regular guards in Afghanistan and Africa. It was day and night lol

6:23, thats what I don't get about this game. Many times the guards are staring at a motherfucker straight down and seeing him rolling around making all this noise. Meanwhile they're super trained soldiers with advanced detection equipment, and somehow the game's AI is too stupid to know he's there. wtf. I have to admit, the game is really cool though, I've never played it myself.
If your spotted and knockout guard before an alert you'll have a retaliation wormhole at your base if you leave the guard that spotted you behind

What baffles me is this guy gets to about 17 (3:35) (6:23) meters and they don't even REACT, even when totally still I'd arouse a guards suspicions. What makes this even more odd is that it's day time, I would understand if it was darker but this is just strange. Unless the rain gives such a massive camo bonus.

That looks tough. MGS changed a lot with this chapter. I'm more used to the older MGS and I just can't see myself juggle around like this. Whenever I see FOB's invasions like this one I can't get my bearings at all.

The one thing I'm complaining about with selecting characters is that on PS3 you cannot play as Quiet or Ocelot...
Everytime I raid someones FOB with nukes. It's never where it's supposed to be. It is never on the command platform by the main strut on his FOB. Where is the exact location/platform that holds the nukes?

No wonder the owner of this base dare put S++ staff on guard , as i notice the platform is PC where S++ staff are much more easiler to obtain as they can be stolen from hackers or even from modding done by their own . I m on PS4 and i only have less than 30 S++ staffs. Most of them are recruited as volunteers at low chance after hardcore FOB Player vs Player bashs, most likely in high security level bases.
How the hell has that guy got S+ soldiers? They are rare as hell and i thought you couldn't obtain anything higher than S rank "in the field" Does this mean he's obtained them by FOB infiltration?
+JCally83 You can obtain S+ soldiers by playing the game. If you have enough heroism, you will find them. With S++ soldiers don't know yet.

Absolutely sure, i read they cannot be found in the field, only time you see them is "Boasters" which means they aren't S+ in the first place. Just passed 82% completion, 630,000 heroism. I see S ranks all the time (nearly every outpost and nearly always 1 out of 2 truck drivers are S, so it's really weird!

I'm on PS3, but I think I can post a picture of some S+ soldiers in the field. If I find them, I'll show you. Yesterday I found a soldier that was all orange, S+ on intel and medic I think, the rest S. Yeah, it's pretty weird.
I've only attacked one person in retaliation. Can someone explain how he was able to jack 9 S+ in only a minute after being spotted within 16 seconds of infiltrating, meanwhile I get to the second platform of his and continually encounter S ranked. The reason I responded is because he has a bunch of S++ and S+ up for grabs and I couldn't find one. Meanwhile he can take 9 S+ off me in literally a minute.
You need to direct contract some of your staff. Preferably the ones with S+ to S++.

All the sneaking suits work the same, no matter the rank. The rank only affects on the life regeneration time.

The Joker Its amazing when you deploy to defend a base or when the enemy FOB guards go on alert mode, but its not the best option to play stealthy. With the WU or Burkov I can just shoot something behind the guards and he will turn around while I slip past.

On my FOB I have the alert at maximum so regardless if the invader is spotted they'll always be on alert mode.

It's a small glitch where a small amount of GMP can surpass the new 10 million GMP limit but it doesn't always work of course. ^^;

I dunno what deal it has now, i'm guessing the latest update expanded the amount of GMP a regular MB along with the pre-provided FOB can store to around 15M or more if my guess is right, dunno the exact amount the update expanded the regular MB/FOB GMP storage though, not counting any extra secondary FOBs and so forth of course... ^^:
***** hey dude, i have a question : recently, i built a nuke, and didnt know it was going to turn me into demon snake. Is there any ways to delete those status?
From what I read in the TPP Strategy Guide it appears you need to do actions that reduce the hidden Demon Points and so forth, dismantling nukes gives a good amount and I avoided Demon Snake status by not developing a nuclear warhead and instead I stole one, thus preventing the Demon Snake status from happening, dismantling it shortly after stealing it of course. The only thing I can tell you is that you have to do actions that reduce those hidden Demon Points, it's annoying but extracting child soldiers (doesn't have to be from chopper from what I can gather from the TPP strategy guide) is a good way to reduce demon points, other actions work too of course. Just keep in mind that not ALL Heroism-inducing actions supply those helpful anti-Demon Points AKA -Demon Points, something to keep in mind. ^^;

In MGS the upgraded nvg's have a high-light filter so it looks normal, just really green, during the day. You can still see heat signatures as well, so it's worth using to see through smoke or mist.

+HTankGlory well I guess this are good points. I was only trying to target the previous metals and fuel resources and only select personnel. I see your points and I'll trying doing that.
+wentaGT Once your Mother Base and first FOB are maxed, you wont steal many resources anymore. Nukes are like "end game content."
It'd be cool if they would add a mission that targeted destroying the actual platform, like: "Boss, you need to plant the 5 satchel charges on the main support structures. Once you place the first explosive, the countdown will begin. Hurry Boss!"
If you succeed, the enemy player loses that section of their base (just the one platform) and all resources that were on it. I'm sure they would need a limit to the amount of times you can be attacked each week, as well. It wouldnt be that hard and it would give people in the higher rankings ways to rank up while simultaneously lowering their opponent's ranks.

They need to improve this AI! A crawling target stands out far more than a rolling target?! What?! And they're just as dumb behind the vehicles-- Ex: I was in stealth camo and fultoned a mortar with one of the driver's in the truck facing my direction, and triggered a reflex! Sometime after running away, they pursued me up the hill, with the 2 scouts getting back in the truck, right? The imbeciles in the truck HIT ONE OF THEIR OWN MEN WHO WAS ON FOOT!! Index and thumb to the bridge of my nose... I turnt the game off.

If he was hacking, this infiltration would have taken about 2 minutes. Hackers have the ability to infiltrate your base in about 4 seconds, but to steal the actual nukes, they'd just use that other hack that automatically stuns everyone on the platform (including you, sadly, but you can wake up, unlike the guards).
Honestly, there's no evidence of any hacking here.
