I might get mrt to build my next engine. Ive literally gone through most subaru EXPERTS in auckland new zealand and all engines failed. Over it so looking at these guys work might pay off to ship one from auz
It really depends on your goals for the car. Have you seen our videos using the Willall Billet Block? They aren't cheap though. Anyway best to give us a call to discuss what will be most suitable and reliable for your needs.
MRT Performance cars primarily my weekend car with the odd track days and drag days. Cars a daily 10sec gc8 but aiming for the 9s this year. Past engines wernt making it past 5k kms and last engine had catastrophic damage were piston an valve hit each other so considering an aussie build engine now😁
Hi MRT I have an 02 Bugeye WRX with a JDM V7 STI engine and ECU and I want to make 400-500whp. But what I was wondering is will I loose turbo spool up quickness with build heads. I've heard you loose bottom end torque but gain more top end power. Thanks
I just purchased a 1998 Subaru forester with the EJ20 engine and i,m curious as to what brand and type of head gasket you recommend to replace the stock ones with.I have heard that Fel Pro are good and also Six Star?
As a Subaru expert let me ask you your opinion about something. I'm in the USDM market so obviously it's a little different regarding some areas but anyway... Factory head bolts you ever have problems with them snapping when being removed? More specific the 2 outside exhaust side. I had one snap while undoing the intake one across from it(never seen anything like it) and then one snap while I was undoing the actual bolt. As far as I can tell it's all factory stuff that has never been replaced. Is this a common problem or should I be following a special procedure? My03 gg ej205
MRT Performance I thought so I have a feel it was over heated pretty well but I have some questions about the Japan market ej20 heads. I'm in the U.S. so I'm having a hard time finding the info I need and a week known Subaru engine building shop I talked to was not much help. I'm afraid it wouldn't be business for you but is there a email or phone number I can call or message for any help or guidance. If need be I can pay for your time to talk or what ever makes it mutually beneficial
I've always thought a simple match port and polish would be ample if one wasn't brave enough or lacked a CNC program to fully port the heads. #Velocity
Thank you for providing great content! You are awesome! :)
love the vids keep it up MRT! also first!
Form an entertainment point of view I don’t mind these videos

Sorry to hear about the bad luck. We'd be more than happy to assist. Feel free to give us a call to discuss your needs :)
MRT Performance yep will do. Been thinking about it for a while now. Considered billet but unsure about the extra cost. Cheers

Is that u kerwin?
Would the 1/2” head studs suffice for the street? Would Cosworth pistons be less noisy as well?
The "01" / bh/be legacy twin turbo heads have bigger intakes (as u can see via this video) from factory
DANSPEED yep sure are . Thats the heads i use with v5 280 cams

How many miles of street driving would one of these built bottom end/ stock head cars last at about 450hp (in a perfect world)?
Depends on how hard and often you're pushing it. The range is very broad.
