I definitely preferred whatever the last input was (fx return?) Not a must have over my medusa though. Ive heard quite a few demo's with a different range of tones so maybe its one of those pedals that fits better with a band or session. Not unlike the chainsaw tone in general IMHO.
@DomeNightbearer which re-amp box are you using? Can you explain how is the signal chain when re-amping? I'd like to buy one too specifically for this purpose..
I personally found it either muddy or ear piercing. I played one and was not impressed into both my V4/Hiwatt, which showcase every pedal clearly, as well as my Engls and Mesa. Surprising because most of his other pedals were good. I agree I dont like it into the driven amps. Clean it was better but it made my Hiwatt sound muddy which is hard to do, and my V4 sound flat, which is also hard to do. It just has this inherent artificial "blanket" over the sound that isnt for me. Then again, Im not a fan of the genre of music this is aimed for so Im sure people into that hazy sound will love it.
@@DomeNightbearer You would think however, that a distortion pedal like this would be made to shine into pedal platform type amps. That Nightmare pedal does a killer job of that.
@@DomeNightbearer You know what sounds insane? The Hologram Chroma Console in drive mode with the Eq routed post. Can get some vile death metal sound down to A standard out of that thing. Plus it has delay/reverb and some other killer options. 400 bucks is a steal for that.
@@DomeNightbearer The whole "designed for x genre" is little more than a targeted marketing ploy that no-one with a creative fibre in their body should take as gospel. HM2 is after all the best and most fitting example :)
I'm all love for this channel but I think a brief sound demo before the response tests might make me have a nicer day
Great demo, thank you. This pedal is an effects loop away from being perfect, imo. Sounds and features are outstanding as usual!🤘
Badass sounding pedal
Killer Demo and Awesome pedal 💪
I will be calling it the "Total Distortion Warship" from now on!

yes, it was fx-return!
Are you re-amping your DI signal through this pedal when twisting the knobs? Can you explain how exactly to do that?
yes, way easier if you have both hands free for dialing knobs.

Is there a distortion pedal that actually sounds good infront of an amp?
Depends on your taste.
Lichtlaerm stuff, Driftwood stuff sound phenomenal in front of a clean amp.

You probably said it yourself. It's designed towards a different style of music and group of people! Not meant to be played into older amps.

@VoidManufacturing nice, I will put it on the list for the future 😅
