Regardless of which airline you'll fly for one day, this course is a requirement for all of us. Here's what you need to know before you get started!

Your parents must be very proud of you. For such a young man you display a great deal of maturity, fantastic work ethic and an awesome attitude. I have always wanted to fly but minor eyesight issues prevented me during a stint in the Navy, so I am limited to X-plane and FSX..... Lol... Keep up the good work and best wishes to you on advancing your career in aviation. I see you becoming a captain of a large commercial jet soon. I would feel very comfortable with you a the controls..... best of luck....... Mike

So what planet did you come from??? whereby qualities & attributes of this magnitude have been instilled in you by caring parents!! it's a real shame that you did not get to achieve your personal ambitions because I reckon you like Swayne would so obviously have had all the necessary requirements to push those thrust levers forward & head for the wide blue yonder!! You can still fly for the civilian side! I have vision issues as well. Military is unfortunately the “free99” route, though.

Congrats! I was at Eagle for 4 years, back when they were still American Eagle. I started my flight training at ATP as well, but after being stuck at the bottom of the seniority list for 4 years straight, I managed to switch careers to ATC. This video does bring back memories though from when I first started at the airlines. Good luck and have fun flying the jet!

I know exactly where you went. My father is an instructor for ATP in Dallas and the location of the simulator is at a location called AFG or Avenger flight group. And I know who your instructor was. Overall it was a really great video keep it up

Learn to embrace and enjoy the sim. It’s something one has to do twice a year. In my early career it was a checking and failing exercise! Thankfully those days are long gone and it’s now all about training and learning. If you retire at 65 and fly for an airline you have around 176 sim sessions to go totaling 704 hrs!

You know what sucks? I flew for legacy American Eagle on the ERJ before this started and left to be a controller. I plan to go back to the airlines and will have to take the program even though I have over 1000 hours at a part 121 carrier.

It will be interesting to see if the FAA and Envoy allow you to record video during revenue flights. I can see the one time promo, but on a consistent weekly basis? Good luck bro.
It'll likely be okay in-flight, but during taxi/takeoff/landing, sterile cockpit requirements would not appreciate camera usage.
@@scottycatman That's exactly what I've seen from all the other airline pilots who film flights.
Scotty Catman couldn’t they just set up and start cameras recording before pushback and not touch them until cruise altitude?

You are a very good presenter! My advice. Talk a bit slower. The slower you talk the more people will listen. You must extremly slow before people will start to complain. Your video is great.
There is so much demand for pilots coming up, but I see no options for the average person to get into the field. Scholarships are all aimed at high school students, and schools that promise you 300 hours, and job placement, cost in excess of 100,000 dollars. Those schools require their students to live in another state, in a dorm room with 3 other people... So people like me, 35 years old, married, and no financial capability to start pilot training, will simply never see a pilots license, even though it's all I ever really wanted to do for a living... (when I was a teenager, my parents couldn't afford to help me with any pilot schooling... I started working, thinking I'd be able to figure it out along the way, but 17 years later, I'm further than ever before)
