Yes, many ppl are using timestamps. Timestamps are good, especially in videos / podcasts like this, hours and hours long. But even in shorter versions timestamps are a big help.
As someone who regularly skip throug videos, the main difference between having time stamps or not is whether I spent 5 seconds skipping or 50 seconds skipping.

My family had no idea who or what I am capable of and underestimates me. 😊 I spent almost 2 weeks taking her to 7 different dealerships some multiple times and called out every sleazy move they tried to pull. She was a trooper dude, only once did she tear up when she was loosing faith and started to doubt what I was telling her. Which is their goal, frustrate you to accept paying 1.5×MSRP with a juiced loan that they get kickbacks on the worse the rate is for you. Or they frustrate you to leave and eventually cave in because they know you're not jumping on the Bus. Not me sir. Almost 45 hours of sitting there arguing with those crooked fks until finally I found the right car for the right price. Fully loaded and I mean fully loaded Bose speaker system, extended sun roof, wireless charging dock for phone all leather interior and heated seats etc etc. I also got her out from under her old POS car and car loan that she owed almost 8k at 22%(makes me want to cry!) intrest still for a car worth about $2500 right now. She flat out got robbed on her last car. I ended up getting her GAP & Silver tier added warranty for free at signing just because I threatened to walk at that point, keep in mind there was a lot more nuance to my negotiating and also it was 6pm and we got there at 1pm so to blow the sales reps deal at signing would have been sad for him. I could write a book filled with the dirty sht these guys tried to pull. One fkhead tried to slow roll me with her credit score but I already knew her aggregate score was 700-ish. He had a stack of papers in his hand and showed us 620 first. After I corrected him that's when he flipped through the papers and said "Ohh yeah, you're right it is a little higher on this one." Scumbags. At another dealership I jerked the pen out of a guys hand who was trying to sell a 22k MSRP car to us for a $750 x 72 month loan we hadn't even discussed the upside down car loan trade in. Blow me guy! I took his pen, X'd out all the figures on his spread sheet and wrote (A × B)+ C < $28,000 A Monthly payment B Duration of loan C Pay off amount on loan leftover on trade in. This guy was especially egregious and brought the devil out of me. I didnt say this but I was thinking. Sorry bud, you can take your RECON fees and dock fees and dealership fees and all that other nonsense on that page and go fk yourself. Keep in mind this is a fair offer that still allows profit margins for them on the make and model we test drove. Then told him I dont care how you do it that's what I want. Impossible he said. Bullshit! I came ready for war. First words out of my mouth at every dealership was "Hey man, where's your coffee machine." I drank probably $100 of coffee and lattes on this adventure. No need to brew my own in the morning, I'll get mine for free as these people lie to me and waste my time. Even made pancakes each day and brought them in a baggy in my pocket. Not only did I get a fair deal for her but I also gained her respect in the end and our relationship is that much stronger which is ultimately more important to me. I'd also like to think that this was educational for her so if I'm not around she can handle herself and not be afraid to challenge what sales people tell her. I made sure to explain the tactics they used like deducting from one category while increasing on another etc. Confusing you with long itemized lists that are completely irrelevant except for taxes. I worried this may happen. Less choice, diversity and ultimately narrative fun! I think it is targeted to get people playing Old World more. I feared a dip for 4th. All battletomes have been disappointing with few, often poor rules or mechanics 😢 for 3rd.
I could see a arguement for putting the belcha banner on the tower if its gonna be front n centre might as well give everything around it a ward save too
@@40KWill unfortunately with math it really doesn't translate well. A single pig's worth of damage averages goes from 2.666 to 2.4444. While it seems minor pigs weren't good to begin with, even with the orc atk being able to be buffed on waaagh they still drop off 2.999 to 2.777. these changes make the unit do 1dmg less or two if reinforced.
@lat1n0_h0t the only build where I saw pigs being used for damage was the Kragnos one drop. They get +1 or +2 attacks in that build from the Waaagh and 8+ charging due to Kragnos. I personally don't use pigs for anything other than an objective tagging unit.
Black Library will likely be one of the bigger reveals with the Siege of Terra finished up now they’ll have to announce what’s next for the Horus Heresy. We’ve also just finished the major 40k series Dawn of fire, so potentially something there aswell.
We can only hope that GW announces "The Great Scouring" series. So we can find out what Abaddon was up to before building the Black Legion and for all the survivors on Terra to slowly go insane with Guilliman`s incessant reforms and the new Administration's bureaucratic drudgery. Plus how the heck did the Dark Mechanicum get off Mars following the siege? Can`t chalk everything up to Warp shenanigans.
I see people trying to be positive about the Kruleboyz book. I'm not feeling it. This book is rough. Which super hurts after the glow up we got switching from 3rd to 4th index.
Yeah, it's really bad, gutting us for... no reason ? We were fine, and that was good. We didn't need any buff, just staying the same and be given more stuff and that would have been good.

I had my best year of AoS in 2022-23 when I bought my Ironjawz army; Pigs and 2Megabosses on Mawcrushers. And eventually settled with 2 Mawcrushers and 1 Rogue idol, and had like 7 months of extreme fun! I had a small hope that a new book might bring me back to playing IJ again, but now I just looked at my army again and sighed. Well at least my monster trucks in ogors got a slight buff, so I’ll just stay in destruction that way!
Kragnos and Big Waaagh soup can both zogg off as far as I'm concerned. I just want Ironjawz and Kruleboyz to play better as their own seperate factions, nerfs really weren't needed.
I own about 7 or 8 Age of Sigmar armies and I watch this show almost every week and I've never played a game of Age of Sigmar. I don't know what that says about me but I'm fine with it.
I'm literally working on a custom Kruleboyz rogue idol to use as a Krondspine, and it wasn't until this video that I learned it could also be a Kragnos, because I didn't bother to look at his warscroll or base size lol So this video was educational!

I don't want to, but I could see a list with Kragnos and marshcrawla sloggoth including one or even two hobgrot slittabosses, turning them into surgical missiles strikes to take out buffpieces that weren't screened correctly.
Teleport was already hard to use because your opponent knew how to counter it. Its wholly within 3" from terrain and 9" from all enemies so its not "real" teleport. Very easy from opponent to counter it. It was still only thing that made kruleboyz "kunnin", whats left from that? GW just doesn't care which we all know but we are just hopium all the time they would at some day.
I watch WW start to finish, although perhaps in a few sessions, so never use the timestamps but I still think they're good to have. Also, like others, building and painting IronJawz for 5th ed now.
I love that even Tom recognized how negative this show got when we got to Kruleboyz. I did love y’all trying to find the goodness in the tome. The possible bright spot is GW seems quick (compared to their past) to fix things. Hopefully this book will get some FAQs.
There is a MMO term "borrowed power" i think its applicable to the GBH update and how its been used to fix the move 4 armies. It would be interesting to hear what you think about "borrowed power" balancing against points reduction balacing that was norm

I like the time stamps. While first listen i go from start to finish if i go back to the vid it is usually to relisten to a specific part. Often for weeks like this reviewing an army book if i'm doing something with that army i'll relisten to get an idea how to build a multi unit box or which weapon options to choose when that mattered. Like Vince i want to use brutes and pigs. i prefer to have a tide of muscle and iron. The ard boys new kits i'm liking them a bit more. i'm still not thrilled to need like 40-60 ard boys. I do like the idea of the big waaagh. I would need to buy some krul boyz, but it is possible. I'm also don't really want to get a kragnos. I also play squig gitz and waiting for that book.
6:48 I have a question that is love to have your feedback on Vince. I have a feeling that Elisse Duchard is a homage to Mike McVey's Green Knight paint job. What i mean by that is that he did something which, at the time, was kinda revolutionary in that he painted the entire mini in one colour (green), but by varying the hue (probably the wrong term) he managed to make it a really visually interesting mini to look at. GW's Ellise painting is essentially all white, though it uses different shades of white, and I feel like that's meant as a homage to the Green Knight. Cool mounted character in a rearing horse painted in a single colour. Do you think I'm right, it just imagining things. In any case, I'd love to know who painted her. It's a great paint job and one if love to try to replicate at some point.
They should have kept Iron Jaws as their own faction and had the bone splitters rewritten as the chaff recruits of the iron jaws. They have to prove their worth with sticks and bones before they're allowed to have iron.
Here's the thing. IF the sludgeracker venom affected shooting attacks, it's fixed. It's actually fine. Yes points need to come down because now Kruleboyz don't have their +1 damage. Yes. Understood. However, the army moving to a more debuff grindy army is what it used to be and what I personally prefer. So Vince is right, conceptually it's fine. But it has to affect shooting attacks to work. You could run 2 sludgerackers again and have up to 2 units plus a sludgeracker hit multiple units and up to 3 of them every turn would be -1 to wound, which is very strong. Paired with -1 attacks, -1 to hit on Gutrippaz, no charge +1 damage and/or strike last. The army would be kool. Yes it's bad in its current rendition. They just need to remove 1 word to make the ability work.
Thank you. This was my exact thought. I know a lot of people do like the crazy mortal damage out of gutrippaz death balls, but a debuff army is very fun. You surprise your opponent with a ridiculous amount of tankiness that isn't shown directly on the warscroll.
@kennypalmer8971 exactly. Give us a bit of points drops on killbows and Hobgrots so we can bring 2 comfortably and 20-30 Hobgrots to gum up the field while shooting and debuffing the opponent and scoring.
@@markpandelidis2079 letting Kruleboyz be the control army of destruction I think would be good. Using the swamps to slow movement, the fog to reduce chances to hit, poison to slowly pick your opponent apart. That’s what I envision for KB. Then let IJ just beat things up. Like IJ are an army that should be top tier at beating your opponent up. They look like they should kick your face in and they don’t do it as well as others. Less of a movement army, more of a combat prowess army. Have spells and prayers buff rend, chance to wound, extra pile in. Make them excel once they get into the thick of it, but their weakness is movement.
Las Vegas Open is going to be them showing off free online rules and unit cards that get updated with patches. (Yes this is a dream I'm just trying to manifest it.)
the Hobgrot Slittaboss only makes sense when you consider their absolute obsession to produce a new foot hero with every army book update. regardless of his abilty in game this is a single goblin foot hero at ~£20. who in their right mind is buying this?
Here are some god of destruction options better than the guy who should have been for Beasts of Chaos: Gorkamarka (obvious, Nagash is running around) alternatively add their version of Mortarchs: The MAW (basically a sarlaac pt that moves), the Everwinter storm elemental, Big Ork (that's it, it's a big ork. I dunno he's big enough to wrestlle gargants, the moving fortress (Ironjaw ork who rides an equally armored monster), the Moonshard (new Rogue Idol made of bad moon splinters) and last but not least the Bog Thing. Just a giant swamp monster. If I actually collect Kruleboyz which I want I might make that last one and just use Kragnoss' rules. Bognoss.
Without any melee damage kruleboyz are pushed back into shooting, and without the mobility you're pushed back into the bad castle builds of 3e, which is probably just better in BW with ardboy anvils? So zoggrok is optimal for the ironjawz playstyle and BW is probably optimal for the KB playstyle? Although Zoggrok's might struggle a lot with scoring tactics. KB seem to be in a really rough spot, but maybe just saving all the dirty tricks for 2+/3+ fights last combined with mirebrutes could do some work? probably gets crushed by ranged damage, but it could be tough to charge into. The terrain piece gives you a lot more control for the anti-shooting subfaction too.
I am curious if you could expand on why units (that should do damage) should not have 5+ to hit? I see that 5+ is substantially worse than 4+, and I see that 5+s are unreliable, but can the damage potential not be fixed with higher damage values and can the reliability not be fixed with more attacks? To-hit values currently only are 3+, 4+, and 5+. I prefer the current spread over 3rd edition where every hammer was 3+, 3+.
So when you go to something like 4+ or 5+ to hit, that gets really dangerous, because there is a great deal of -1 to hit in the game, meaning you are now likely to often be on 5+ or 6+, at that point, even if your damage is VERY high, you just stand a big chance of doing nothing. Also, if you have to jump the attacks WAY up to compensate, then what you end up doing is rolling a lot of dice and taking a lot of time for very little effect.

Great review as always even though I don't care about destruction armies at all. Also, why did SCE and skaven get old undworlds warbands in their books but S2D and Orruks didn't?
Would like to aks you, how is the shieldbash a buff? In my opinion its a big nerf. Since its a combat ability it has to be activated at the start of the combat phase. Your opponent can charge a part of them the let arround 3-6 use their shieldbash and pile in and do dmg. Yes over time they do dmg, but then the unit is reduced already. And with their movement, they usually dont get to charge, they get charged. Maybe I dont see something or I have a blind spot, but right now its more "hammer units charging in and kill stuff" than "prolonged combat". Would love to hear your opinion on that.
You can now charge with your Ardboyz, and then shieldbash. You now can get stuck into combat and shield bash on your turn, and then their turn, and then the turn after. The key is that their combats are traditionally drawn out, and you are getting those mortal wounds every combat phase now.
@@ThomasLyons I understand that, but with all their movement they usually dont get to charge, the opponent picks the fight not them. And when you charge them, you dont get to make (on average) 6-7 MW with buff, now you only make arround 1-2, when you get charged (which is very likely to happen.
In my experience, it's been doable to keep them in a place where if the unit charging them is of any size, they can usually get a good amount of shield bashes and then bring the rest in the next turn, having the second unit there for the counter charge makes it especially threatening.
I'm not an experienced player and kruleboyz is the only army I have done. Investing about £150 for an army I'm already getting my teeth kicked in with or taking about a year to finish my stormcast and still needing to invest more money is now the dilemma I'm faced with. The struggle is very real! 😢

I know people think Henry Cavill and an Amazon show would be good for warhammer, but man if they just got competent people and enough resources at the planning and rules writing I think AoS would grow so much!
Lol. I play Bonesplitterz and I do have to use Kragnos.... Kopp Rukk letting him ignore ward saves is about the only power play in the book. As a Bonesplitterz, this book makes me mad. There was no reason why we couldn't have been included in the book, and I have a suspicion that we were originally supposed to be.

Also losing the very useful prayers and spells on both primary factions. I can do without the 3" movement buff, but the teleports, bonus to damage, extra charge dice, double tap on crit? Nope.
I just feel like aos orcs are a parody of themselves. Playing orcs in fantasy or mesbg is a lot of fun but playing them in aos kind of makes you feel like a bit of an idiot. IM GUNNA CHARGE WIT MUH ARD BOYZ! 🤨
We are unfortunately going to turn into, “here is your monthly points discount for the month, now go away” and getting what feels like pigeon holes into playing Kragnos or a ROR. Which is not fun, I want more than one unit to be viable and be able to build multiple styles. It’s as if war clans as the last book to be made and they just threw in what was left, which clearly wasn’t much…

The Gore-gruntas TUSKS went to 5+ from a 4+ that's the tragedy. The Maw-Grunta trotters were always 5+ from launch. I hope it's a misprint because it's Nonsense. All tusk attacks should be 4+. The Maw-Grunta tusks are 4+

*Raises hand* I'm the one that faced Kruleboys where every single roll worked, and got absolutely tabled. I got handed first turn and that was all, never got to do anything again during the game. Now Kruleboys may have been a RNG roflcopter powerhammer, but since 1st edition AoS I have never played such an uninteresting "game". Even 1st edition has more depth.
and big waagh coming back is one more reason to hate GW. Gw stated that big waagh was not coming back so I sold my kruel boys because I only had them for big waagh. then 7 months later big waagh is back. Just like the lies with underworlds being legends and then they come back in the battletomea
what happened to the kruleboyz felt vindictive, like somebody had a bad time in the playtesting leading up to 4th but didnt have time to change it before the index. the win% data absolutely didnt warrant kruleboyz getting 2 of their core gameplay gimmicks wholly removed. as for ironjawz, man its just boring. its the most boring interpretation of a wall of pissed off orcs. also gore gruntas melee profile really feels like a "we sold enough of this kit in 2nd and 3rd edition", i dont have any other explanation as to why that 3 man hyper elite cavalry unit is so gosh darn incompetent. as someone who's got a kruleboyz army enjoying my sludgereaker and gutrippaz finally and an ironjawz army with 12 gore gruntas, some big pigs and a bunch of brutes, this whole battletome just makes me go :( oh also on your quest for a big toy orc, you may have better luck getting a big toy/statue incredible hulk and giving him an orcy face thanks for the show though, hope for better changes in the future i guess or hold out for 5e
I still don‘t get why they did this to Kruleboyz. They have such amazing sculpts and are no fun to play at all with the new book (only 2 games so far).

@lat1n0_h0t the only build where I saw pigs being used for damage was the Kragnos one drop. They get +1 or +2 attacks in that build from the Waaagh and 8+ charging due to Kragnos. I personally don't use pigs for anything other than an objective tagging unit.

We can only hope that GW announces "The Great Scouring" series. So we can find out what Abaddon was up to before building the Black Legion and for all the survivors on Terra to slowly go insane with Guilliman`s incessant reforms and the new Administration's bureaucratic drudgery. Plus how the heck did the Dark Mechanicum get off Mars following the siege? Can`t chalk everything up to Warp shenanigans.

I see people trying to be positive about the Kruleboyz book. I'm not feeling it. This book is rough. Which super hurts after the glow up we got switching from 3rd to 4th index.
Yeah, it's really bad, gutting us for... no reason ? We were fine, and that was good. We didn't need any buff, just staying the same and be given more stuff and that would have been good.

I think the rumor engine is for Soulblight Gravelords. It looks like the type of vampire-ish gargoyle face that they sometimes use. And we have already heard rumblings about their upcoming battletome and them getting new minis.
I had my best year of AoS in 2022-23 when I bought my Ironjawz army; Pigs and 2Megabosses on Mawcrushers. And eventually settled with 2 Mawcrushers and 1 Rogue idol, and had like 7 months of extreme fun! I had a small hope that a new book might bring me back to playing IJ again, but now I just looked at my army again and sighed.
Well at least my monster trucks in ogors got a slight buff, so I’ll just stay in destruction that way!

Kragnos and Big Waaagh soup can both zogg off as far as I'm concerned. I just want Ironjawz and Kruleboyz to play better as their own seperate factions, nerfs really weren't needed.
Needing to put the both orc factions in one book (for some reason) just guaranteed bad rules design. Same as last edition really.
To each their own. Kragnos was released in a book about orks and stormcast. These combined armies like S2D, CoS, and now BW are my kind of armies.

I don't want to, but I could see a list with Kragnos and marshcrawla sloggoth including one or even two hobgrot slittabosses, turning them into surgical missiles strikes to take out buffpieces that weren't screened correctly.
Played Big Waaagh in 3rd so happy they're back and that they have some play. Also looking forward to trying Zoggrok's.
Teleport was already hard to use because your opponent knew how to counter it. Its wholly within 3" from terrain and 9" from all enemies so its not "real" teleport. Very easy from opponent to counter it. It was still only thing that made kruleboyz "kunnin", whats left from that? GW just doesn't care which we all know but we are just hopium all the time they would at some day.
This is a good point. So often found I couldn't get anywhere useful nevermind routinely moving two units.

There is a MMO term "borrowed power" i think its applicable to the GBH update and how its been used to fix the move 4 armies. It would be interesting to hear what you think about "borrowed power" balancing against points reduction balacing that was norm

I like the time stamps. While first listen i go from start to finish if i go back to the vid it is usually to relisten to a specific part. Often for weeks like this reviewing an army book if i'm doing something with that army i'll relisten to get an idea how to build a multi unit box or which weapon options to choose when that mattered.
Like Vince i want to use brutes and pigs. i prefer to have a tide of muscle and iron. The ard boys new kits i'm liking them a bit more. i'm still not thrilled to need like 40-60 ard boys. I do like the idea of the big waaagh. I would need to buy some krul boyz, but it is possible. I'm also don't really want to get a kragnos. I also play squig gitz and waiting for that book.

6:48 I have a question that is love to have your feedback on Vince. I have a feeling that Elisse Duchard is a homage to Mike McVey's Green Knight paint job.
What i mean by that is that he did something which, at the time, was kinda revolutionary in that he painted the entire mini in one colour (green), but by varying the hue (probably the wrong term) he managed to make it a really visually interesting mini to look at.
GW's Ellise painting is essentially all white, though it uses different shades of white, and I feel like that's meant as a homage to the Green Knight. Cool mounted character in a rearing horse painted in a single colour.
Do you think I'm right, it just imagining things.
In any case, I'd love to know who painted her. It's a great paint job and one if love to try to replicate at some point.

They should have kept Iron Jaws as their own faction and had the bone splitters rewritten as the chaff recruits of the iron jaws. They have to prove their worth with sticks and bones before they're allowed to have iron.

Yes points need to come down because now Kruleboyz don't have their +1 damage. Yes. Understood. However, the army moving to a more debuff grindy army is what it used to be and what I personally prefer.
So Vince is right, conceptually it's fine. But it has to affect shooting attacks to work. You could run 2 sludgerackers again and have up to 2 units plus a sludgeracker hit multiple units and up to 3 of them every turn would be -1 to wound, which is very strong.
Paired with -1 attacks, -1 to hit on Gutrippaz, no charge +1 damage and/or strike last. The army would be kool.
Yes it's bad in its current rendition. They just need to remove 1 word to make the ability work.
Thank you. This was my exact thought. I know a lot of people do like the crazy mortal damage out of gutrippaz death balls, but a debuff army is very fun. You surprise your opponent with a ridiculous amount of tankiness that isn't shown directly on the warscroll.
@kennypalmer8971 exactly. Give us a bit of points drops on killbows and Hobgrots so we can bring 2 comfortably and 20-30 Hobgrots to gum up the field while shooting and debuffing the opponent and scoring.

@@markpandelidis2079 letting Kruleboyz be the control army of destruction I think would be good. Using the swamps to slow movement, the fog to reduce chances to hit, poison to slowly pick your opponent apart. That’s what I envision for KB. Then let IJ just beat things up. Like IJ are an army that should be top tier at beating your opponent up. They look like they should kick your face in and they don’t do it as well as others. Less of a movement army, more of a combat prowess army. Have spells and prayers buff rend, chance to wound, extra pile in. Make them excel once they get into the thick of it, but their weakness is movement.
Las Vegas Open is going to be them showing off free online rules and unit cards that get updated with patches. (Yes this is a dream I'm just trying to manifest it.)
the Hobgrot Slittaboss only makes sense when you consider their absolute obsession to produce a new foot hero with every army book update.

Here are some god of destruction options better than the guy who should have been for Beasts of Chaos: Gorkamarka (obvious, Nagash is running around) alternatively add their version of Mortarchs: The MAW (basically a sarlaac pt that moves), the Everwinter storm elemental, Big Ork (that's it, it's a big ork. I dunno he's big enough to wrestlle gargants, the moving fortress (Ironjaw ork who rides an equally armored monster), the Moonshard (new Rogue Idol made of bad moon splinters) and last but not least the Bog Thing. Just a giant swamp monster. If I actually collect Kruleboyz which I want I might make that last one and just use Kragnoss' rules. Bognoss.

Without any melee damage kruleboyz are pushed back into shooting, and without the mobility you're pushed back into the bad castle builds of 3e, which is probably just better in BW with ardboy anvils? So zoggrok is optimal for the ironjawz playstyle and BW is probably optimal for the KB playstyle?
Although Zoggrok's might struggle a lot with scoring tactics.
KB seem to be in a really rough spot, but maybe just saving all the dirty tricks for 2+/3+ fights last combined with mirebrutes could do some work? probably gets crushed by ranged damage, but it could be tough to charge into. The terrain piece gives you a lot more control for the anti-shooting subfaction too.

I am curious if you could expand on why units (that should do damage) should not have 5+ to hit? I see that 5+ is substantially worse than 4+, and I see that 5+s are unreliable, but can the damage potential not be fixed with higher damage values and can the reliability not be fixed with more attacks? To-hit values currently only are 3+, 4+, and 5+. I prefer the current spread over 3rd edition where every hammer was 3+, 3+.
So when you go to something like 4+ or 5+ to hit, that gets really dangerous, because there is a great deal of -1 to hit in the game, meaning you are now likely to often be on 5+ or 6+, at that point, even if your damage is VERY high, you just stand a big chance of doing nothing. Also, if you have to jump the attacks WAY up to compensate, then what you end up doing is rolling a lot of dice and taking a lot of time for very little effect.
@VinceVenturella Thank you! I understand. -1 really is rough at 5+. And I've rolled buckets of dice (DoK) and see the problem. I wish there was a way to diversify attack profiles without those issues. :/

In my opinion its a big nerf. Since its a combat ability it has to be activated at the start of the combat phase. Your opponent can charge a part of them the let arround 3-6 use their shieldbash and pile in and do dmg. Yes over time they do dmg, but then the unit is reduced already.
And with their movement, they usually dont get to charge, they get charged.
Maybe I dont see something or I have a blind spot, but right now its more "hammer units charging in and kill stuff" than "prolonged combat".

You can now charge with your Ardboyz, and then shieldbash. You now can get stuck into combat and shield bash on your turn, and then their turn, and then the turn after. The key is that their combats are traditionally drawn out, and you are getting those mortal wounds every combat phase now.
@@ThomasLyons I understand that, but with all their movement they usually dont get to charge, the opponent picks the fight not them. And when you charge them, you dont get to make (on average) 6-7 MW with buff, now you only make arround 1-2, when you get charged (which is very likely to happen.
In my experience, it's been doable to keep them in a place where if the unit charging them is of any size, they can usually get a good amount of shield bashes and then bring the rest in the next turn, having the second unit there for the counter charge makes it especially threatening.
I'm not an experienced player and kruleboyz is the only army I have done. Investing about £150 for an army I'm already getting my teeth kicked in with or taking about a year to finish my stormcast and still needing to invest more money is now the dilemma I'm faced with. The struggle is very real! 😢

I am understanding the sinking of the restrictions of Big Waaagh, but has it sunk in that you’re playing with 2500 points rather than 2000… or some guestimation like that.
I know people think Henry Cavill and an Amazon show would be good for warhammer, but man if they just got competent people and enough resources at the planning and rules writing I think AoS would grow so much!

Lol. I play Bonesplitterz and I do have to use Kragnos.... Kopp Rukk letting him ignore ward saves is about the only power play in the book.
As a Bonesplitterz, this book makes me mad. There was no reason why we couldn't have been included in the book, and I have a suspicion that we were originally supposed to be.

We are unfortunately going to turn into, “here is your monthly points discount for the month, now go away” and getting what feels like pigeon holes into playing Kragnos or a ROR. Which is not fun, I want more than one unit to be viable and be able to build multiple styles. It’s as if war clans as the last book to be made and they just threw in what was left, which clearly wasn’t much…
No giant orc, no Idol needed, just use the models in a game that isn't an utter mess. Watching as I had a vague orc itch and was pondering a painting force, but the more I hear about 4th the less concerns I have about missing the whole edition

*Raises hand* I'm the one that faced Kruleboys where every single roll worked, and got absolutely tabled. I got handed first turn and that was all, never got to do anything again during the game. Now Kruleboys may have been a RNG roflcopter powerhammer, but since 1st edition AoS I have never played such an uninteresting "game". Even 1st edition has more depth.

what happened to the kruleboyz felt vindictive, like somebody had a bad time in the playtesting leading up to 4th but didnt have time to change it before the index. the win% data absolutely didnt warrant kruleboyz getting 2 of their core gameplay gimmicks wholly removed.
as for ironjawz, man its just boring. its the most boring interpretation of a wall of pissed off orcs. also gore gruntas melee profile really feels like a "we sold enough of this kit in 2nd and 3rd edition", i dont have any other explanation as to why that 3 man hyper elite cavalry unit is so gosh darn incompetent.
as someone who's got a kruleboyz army enjoying my sludgereaker and gutrippaz finally and an ironjawz army with 12 gore gruntas, some big pigs and a bunch of brutes, this whole battletome just makes me go :(
