    This is the best review about the tripod I've watched! Thank you. Especially at 4:45 this convinces me, because many years ago, I've chosen a heavy Manfrotto tripod with manual clip system. In the first week of trying this tripod, I didn't clip it properly and it fell onto my Imac! It scratched the screen, damaged my canon5Dmk2 ....and the tripod-clip was damaged. I mean, just one simple beginner mistake, taught me a lot. I now prefer a travel light, compact, multifunctional tripod with a detachable top. thanks for showing that bag trick. I really hope that the quality of the twist lock legs is oke though? I've seen two reviews where it detached somehow.

      Ah, I'm glad you enjoyed! Yeah the leg twist locks are great!

    Hi mate. Really good and informative video, thank you. I was looking for this K&F carbon fiber tripod for myself as an upgrade from Manfrotto 190go aluminium. The only thing that I would never do again, from my own experience, is the attachment of the camera with the heavy lens to the base, I would always attach to the lens column instead.
    Thanks again for the video 📸👍

      Thanks mate. Totally, it was just the best way I could think of to test the ball head strength.

    My experience with a K&F tripod was awful It turned out to be almost unusable as the locking mechanism couldn't hold my NikonD850 steady. It must have been a much cheaper model than the one you are demoing here. I went out and bought a Benro and am completely happy with it. Sorry I can't give the model number of the K&F as it went to the landfill.

      I know what you mean, I was pretty surprised by this one when it arrived. Totally different quality to the others they’ve sent. You can’t go wrong with a good Benro.

    Thank you for this video. That looks like a worthwhile tripod. I have purchased from K&F Concepts before and was happy with them and the products I bought.

    Hi Jonny: Thanks for creating and sharing this video. Have you experienced any issues with the legs not collapsing into each other in a fluid manner. Also, have you taken the legs apart to see how difficult it would be to clean the legs. I have an Innorel RT80C tripod and the shims on each leg sometimes break causing the issues with the legs collapsing into each other. Cheers, Keith

      Hey Keith, thanks for watching. I haven’t had any trouble with the legs collapsing but I haven’t taken them apart yet.
      I had to take the benro apart after a beach trip and that was simple but not the K&F yet.

      @owendaly7930 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      had this with Innorel . They sent me 6 complete sets of shims and a new bottom leg section after I cross threaded the foot, no charge. This K&F tripod looks very similar to the Innorel, both very good.

    I love the bigger ball. I have a Zomei 666C, which I love. But the ball head suffers from sideways droop with my heavy gear.

    Good for video satisfaction level of all those small nobs and twist, but when you are in field and try to work on quickly leveling tripod and all those nobs and twist suddenly get you so frustrated cuz time is running and you still not manage to balance tripod...

    This looks decent, I recently bough a smallrig tripod and its really awful.
    I did have a lovely manfrotto, but left it on an abandoned racetrack
    I'd love to be offered some free gear, but I think my content is a little to 'trespassy' for most companies 😅

      I left my benro on a beach in scotland once and drove an hour back to my cabin. I realised I forgot it drove back (2hr round trip) and it was just stood there on the beach looking at me like 'wtf bro!'

    K&F make good tripods. I've got a more lower cost version of theirs (TM 2324) but its still very robust and has stood up to use in all conditions

    The problem with those types of tripod is they have screws and soon as you get one bit of sand in there from saltwater no good useless for seascape photography which is about 70% of my work might be a good landscape photographer but from a seascape perspective no good because soon as you get any granules of sand in those screws the whole tripod is basically Nolan void I donid1878 T wanna have to clean my tripod for an hour after every shoot clips are better so if they make a clip version ID be interested

    • @JonnyKeeleyPhoto
      @JonnyKeeleyPhoto  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That sounds totally fair and thanks for the insight. I shoot seascapes pretty rarely, but have had to clean the threads on the legs every time.

      @@JonnyKeeleyPhoto I believe they should make every tripod with clicks or screws make 2 models it would make it a lot easier for us ceasefire guys to just choose the clips and in predominantly a landscape shooter could choose the screw ones

    they dont last a life time, get serious. there is a flimsy piec of plastic inside the inner tubes that holds everything together. i give it max 3 yrs and it will break.

    • @JonnyKeeleyPhoto
      @JonnyKeeleyPhoto  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve got much lower quality tripods that I’ve owned for over 15 years with no damage. These will last a very long time.

      I can also anecdotally vouch for the longevity of cheapo tripods. I'm 3 years into the use of a $70 geekoto ball head tripod. It's by no means indestructible, but it's survived life getting shoved under many an airline seat on the outside of a backpack, studio use, long treks and landscape capturing, etc. The fully metal ball head had the pan lock screw fall out (could have used some loctite on the threads), but the legs show no sign of slowing down anytime soon. Just my 2 cents and personal experience.

      I presume you are referring to the leg lock guides or sleeves. Reputable companies with good customer service will be able to supply replacement parts in case something breaks.

    Never trust a "photographer" who uses a ball & socket head on the tripod!!!
