    I go to Japan every year and gaming/ufo catcher has been a big part of my trips. I LOVE your coverage of the latest and greatest. This is exactly what I enjoy watching. Thanks Cory, stay moist my friend.

      Sadly, no! I had planned to go to Japan for the first time with my SO when we bought our house in Feb of 2020, but then, well, you know lmao.
      Luckily, I have an entire bedroom dedicated to pachinko in my house, so I can *kinda* live a parlor at least xD

    I have never been a big fan of arcades, and I know almost nothing about anime, gundam, etc., but I really, really enjoyed this video! When I go back to Japan, I'm going to get a friend to go to an arcade with me, and I am going to choose a game and play it. I'm also going to go to a gachapon place and collect some. Hey, Cory -- have you ever done an apartment tour in your place in Matsudo? You should do one. Great to see you!

    I just die at all Gachapon that are mundane things. glad to catch up on what was new. trying to get my hands on the Honda Cub series that came out last year. also I thought I saw some Datsun trucks! and I'm still jealous of the crazy big wasp thing you got like a while ago. thanks for the video dude!

      Ooooh, I've seen the Honda Cub one. I believe I saw the Datsun trucks too.
      Next time I go, I'll try to snap some pics and share them on IG and tag you.
      Oh, and I saw some new wasp one with nests! I'll try to find it again and show you.
      Cheers for watching dude!

      The better game centers are in Tokyo, like around Akihabara or in Shinjuku's Kabukicho area.

      Great suggestion! I'll have to try and figure out a place where I can go and possible get away with filming inside. Some of them have staff that are super active and walking up and down aisles and stocking a lot of things, so it might be hard to film. I'll see what I can do, though.

    This was super cool Cory! Makes me so jealous that we dont have such game centers here, looks like so much fun, great place to spend some good time ☺️ and good that in there smoking is not allowed, it shouldnt be, specially considering many kids spend time in there. Im glad here you are not allowed to smoke indoors anywhere, always have to do it outside! But anyway, super fun video, some of those machines look amazing, i love all the lights and different colors! ☺️

    Absolutely loved seeing the Arcade, thank-you. I love so many different arcade games, from Wangan & Initial D all the way to the oldest stuff. Even the larger linked games like Derby Owners Club & Star horse fascinate me XD
    Hope to go Japan soon in the future. In the meantime I encourage everybody to visit your game centers where you live in the world because they're awesome!

    7:07 I own this machine. It is really fun. It has enough modes and features to warrant it's own video!
    7:24 The older slots usually pay the most because of new regulations decreasing payouts.
    7:42 AKB. This one is a common sight in the US.
    7:54 I've never seen a machine beat up like that before.
    8:22 Stay away from this one when it powers on. The siren is LOUD!
    8:31 You should check out the new giant one.
    9:04 I have one of these on order. It does something crazy when you win. I'm not going to spoil it, you'll have to play it for yourself.

      This was around 4pm on a weekday. I think during this time, a few high school students came to the place, but most are doing after-school club activities or going to cram schools for extracurricular studying. It's much busier on the weekends. And yeah, when I lived in Hilo and Kona, I don't even remember any arcades at all. hehehe Thanks for watching!

    a little off topic, but do you know anything about the AΣTECIO building shown at 1:00? there's an older japanese clothing brand by that name that a friend and I have been looking for more information on for like a year and a half, so if you know anything it'd be much appreciated!

    • @CoryMay81
      @CoryMay81  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it's just a coincidence that building has the same name as a clothing brand that you're looking for. In that building, there are just some small businesses like small bars, a hair salon, internet cafe, restaurant, etc. There are no clothing stores in there at all. And unfortunately, I've never heard of that brand or seen them anywhere around Tokyo. Thanks for watching, Nicky!

    More info for you.
    5:33 It is not. Far from it. It's Pac Man Smash.
    6:20 Medal fishing.
    9:31 These medal games are known for paying out a lot. They don't pay much though.
    9:40 Smash Stadium with SpinFever. The version of this game to not play. Always stick with the regular version.
    10:58 SpinFever. Very popular older game. Known for Fever Game jackpot round that can pay multiple massive jackpots.
    11:04 A wheel bingo game. No idea what it's called.
    11:24 Fortune Trinity. I don't get why people like it so much when you can play the much more fun Grand Cross instead.
    11:59 Sea Story. This game is not great. Play the pachinko instead.
    I would really like to see more coverage of these games. They don't get enough love in the states. Maybe you could head to an arcade during a stream?

    Do you exchange pachinko winnings illegally? Where do you do it even? In the dark alleys?

    • @CoryMay81
      @CoryMay81  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There's usually a little shady window tucked away outside of the pachinko, maybe next door or just down the street a little. You exchange the balls for cash that way. To my knowledge, it's obviously illegal but goes unchecked since it is mafia-related and nobody wants to deal with it.
