My name is Jess! I had a daughter (Lilia) at age 18 w/ my high school sweetheart. We mutually split up & co-parent to this day. I met someone new, got married, had twin boys (Kyson & Kaden) and another son (Landen). He cheated, we split ways, & he’s not around much. After juggling life as a single mom of 4 for some time, I met Chris, he had 2 sons: Caden and Tommy, who eventually became my step sons. After Chris and I got married, we had our 7th child together, Addelyn. I absolutely love how close you and Amanda are. Reminds me how close I was with my cousins. And boy is her daughter getting so big and so beautiful 🥰
Sunscreen tip that might help ( but you might do already anyway, so... 🤷🏻♀️ ) ....put it on at least 20-30 mins before you leave the house, preferably before getting dressed so you get it under clothing that can shift, and then reapply often throughout the day. 😉
Not just clothing shifting most modern clothing has no protection from the sun. When I was a kid my mom always had us wear my dad's t-shirts to swim and I have cancer on both my shoulders. I am very pale like Jesss and burned so easily no matter how much sunscreen I used.

Sorry to hear that. Yes, clothing that has protection built in is something that hopefully will be more commonly made and affordable for everyone soon, especially for the lighter skin toned of us. Until then, we'll just have to keep doing our best. Take care :)

Even in shade UV rays are strong, even in cloudy winter days there’s still UV rays :)
The worst sunburns I ever had were on cloudy days where the sun only came out for 10 minutes 2 or 3 times.
Upf clothing is light sun proof clothing!! Highly recommend. Even though wearing a long sleeved shirt/coverup seems like it’d be hot, it’s not. It’s like creating shade from the sun on your body. Plus it feels way less gross than sunscreen.

I can feel your craziness, I have 4 kids in comp and I coach 3 teams. We had 7 soccer games this past Saturday and will have 67 games in the next 6 weeks🤦🏼♀️⚽️⚽️⚽️ but I LOVE IT! You are just being, it gets much busier

Take it in I MISS so so much these moments of being a soccer mom and dragging my babies out unfortunately my sons soccer career had to come to an end this year to many injuries but he played from 3-22years old and fyi your boys have a special gift saw that immediately ⚽️🙌🏼

Don't ever think you are lazy, let's be blunt. She has her husband at home full time, and her mum lives with her most of the time, so she has on hand help 24/7 ( not moaning about it ) most don't have that kind of help or even ever, so cannot be in 3 places at once doing lots of after school activities.

Soccer tip, if they have slide on shin guards that slide into a sleeve than put them on at the field so that then they are not sweaty and won’t move around as much while playing. If they are strap on shin guards then this comment doesn’t matter and you can ignore it. 😁👍

Hey Jess, I'm not sure if this will help, but it doesn't seem like your putting nearly enough sun screen on. I burn at the drop of a hat, so I put sun screen on supper thick before I get dressed so as not to miss any spots. Then reapply every hour or so. Hope this helps

I’ve been on a travel team (which I think is the same as a competition team) for almost five years now and it’s hectic with just me let alone more so lots of respect your way. I also do tournaments which is usually when we have to stay at hotels with my team for the weekend (usually somewhere fun for in between games) I’m not sure if you have these with the boys yet but I kinda hope you don’t because it gets insane 😅
I think the UV sticker is more of a timer then a UV reader from what I've heard other people say about it. I could be wrong tho I have personally never used it.

Jess, have you ever tried Supergoop sunscreen? It is the only sunscreen that I have found that doesn’t make me burn. It is a bit pricey but totally worth it imo to not get sunburns. And I always apply it at least 15-20 minutes before I leave the house.
Maybe you need to keep changing sunscreens to see which brand works for you
