I watched this video once , I’m thinking to myself this guy is all over the place . Thought about skipping, then picked up my guitar and watched the video 4 more times , tried his stuff and loved it . Learned so many new things from this one video. Your awesome bro
I can't believe you had the cheek to say thank you at the end of that, it's us who are thanking you pal! I've been playing guitar since 1997. I've always known pieces of this, never quite put it all together before. You haven't just taught me new riffs or anything, you have given me a whole new way of looking at my playing, just by this one video. Seriously! The penny has finally dropped! I understand how this is all put together, chords, arpeggios, riffs, strumming patterns, picking patterns, scales. I can't thank you enough sir.
Hi there. I ashamed to say I haven’t watched a video of yours this year. However, I recently learned Brandon Acker’s simplified classical introduction to this lovely piece. I nailed it in a couple of days, then went looking for more comprehensive versions & found my old friend at Lick n Riff. What a wonderful bunch of ideas & tools to play with. I’m having a blast man, thank you. I recon there’s enough here to keep me busy learning & playing for months, years & more. It’s my birthday, so I’ve played, for hours & hours & hours? Grin. For the first time in years my fretting fingers are actually sore, really sore… I guess that gets a grin as well. Anyway, beaut lesson. Thanks again. Notification is back on, so I shouldn’t miss much.
Oh my God this is what I've always wanted to play I Can Be Free here I can let it go I can feel it you've really opened the door for me can't believe how wonderful this lesson was thank you so much

Thank you so very much, for this in particular, and everything else you have and will teach ! Best regards - Henrik F. Hansen
I have the Faith electro acoustic that you're playing myself. It's a lovely guitar. The only things I would change would be a bigger cutaway to get to those notes past the 12th fret easier and fretboard markers. Lovely to hear your playing.

I'm already used to see the cute doggies in your videos... But I am right at the beginning of this video and all I can't stop watching how carefully the dog is listening to you, like it is going to practice guitar right after the video ends :D P.S. I was so mesmerized by the bigger dog that it took me 2 minutes to notice the small one.
You are a great guitar teacher. Can you teach us the theory on requinto guitar? How to create fill in lines like how the Trio Los Panchos doing? You help a lot of musicians around the word. God bless you and your family.
Great video and much appreciated learning, thank you, had to smile at your dogs, I assume dog on the left is thinking 'yadayada' and dog on the right is thinking, (breaking into song) I've heard all before, I've heard it all before. lol
It's funny that a lot people think this song is from Spain because of the title: malagueña ( girl from Malaga Spain) but actually this is a classic Mexican song composed by Elpidio Ramirez Burgos borned in Veracruz Mexico.
No La malagueña is a “palo” of flamenco (a kind of generic rhythm and theme) derived from the fandango. It comes broadly from the Malaga region in Spain. There are lots of malagueña “songs” and variations, that are quite freely modified by singers and guitarists. La “Malagueña” we are dealing with in this video is the sixth movement of the Suite Andalucía by Ernesto Lecuona, born in Cuba. It is closely based in the malagueña palo flamenco and was very early adopted as a classic base for flamenco and classic guitarists. La malagueña you are referring to is “Malagueña Salerosa” by Elpidio Ramírez and Pedro Galindo, that has nothing to do with the palo flamenco. It is a son huasteco from México. It is a song dedicated to a pretty girl from Malaga, a small town in Durango, or perhaps from Malaga in Spain. But the rythm has nothing to do with the palo flamenco of malagueña.
So can you play the Minor scale or the double harmonic Major scale or both together when making leads for a minor or major spanish guitar progression ?
hi, i have a question, hope you answered it if we change the tuning to other tuning, what will happen to the chords then ? will it changed to ? and how to find the new pattern of the chord ? hope you answered it 😊

Great approach to this lesson. Instead of just teaching the song, teaching the idea of the song. Excellent! Thank you so much!
