Much respect my brother. It does my old heart good to see you still rockin hard after all these years. You are a true lover of motorbikes. Not just a fly by nite money grabber. I appreciate you man.
Thank you, so true. Seems like vintage motorcycles have been overrun with people who only see them as a commodity. I’m still chasing the thrill these machines are capable of producing.
This episode we're right up my alley. I raced flat track in the late '70s and '80s. Home track Lima Ohio the big half mile. My 750 started off life as a little Sportster. My 500 was a custom frame powered by Yami. I was no hot shoe I was a mid packer. But it took two days to get the grin off my face. Lmao 🤣😂. Great episode really appreciated all the history. And hats off to whoever prepped that track it was beautiful!
Looks like Good Times man. Love youre still doing your thing Billy. We crossed paths back in the Marsbar (Kendal) days once or twice, but I had many a drink w/ (I think) some of your peeps Timmy & Warren, Tina, Jaime and Nicky and occasionally your brother RIP Much love man Keep living the dream Brother
Outstanding Billy. Love that you and that crew are keeping this vintage stuff alive. Especially, the board track racers. The banking on that track is insane. I don’t think the average person understands how hard that is to keep those vintage bikes with no brakes, up on 2. Great content as always Billy. Be safe brother.
🤤 i wish you guy came further North guarantee id be at every event. Those bikes are amazing! Billy you should do a set of build vids on building a 45 racer like your doing with Blow. Id binge watch it a million times.🤙🏼
I seriously need to get down there for the next one in TN. Thanks for sharing these clips. I've been following along with everyone's posts while I'm stuck up here working. Hope everyone gets home safe and look forward to seeing y'all in October
Thank you for the cool video Billy!! I love Flat Track Racing!! My uncle used to work for this Race Track out by Denver Colorado called IMI. They have a Go-cart, motorcross, and Flat Track. It was cool to go visit him. He even use to do the Ice Racing in the mountains. It's always good to see you. Hope you're doing well. Stay safe and have a nice day!!🤘🤘
Absolutely !!!!!!! They don't have to be monter inch motors. Simple and solid engineering and a solid power plant will do. Smaller engines would het around epa garbage also. I was just thinking about this recently when I sent 2 people riding motorcycles that are made local to me. They look like early 1900 harleys but have a small honda looking engineering in them. They are built in southbend indiana. Of you look up southbend indiana motorcycle company search results will pop up for the bikes. Sorry, wish I could remember the brand name.
Janus motorcycles. Check them out, pretty cool. The PowerPoint leaves alot to be desired but, it does make enough power. If a company built some bikes like these Janus bikes with a proprietary engine of a simple and durable design, they would probably have a line at the door of people wanting to buy.
@BillyLaneChoppers I have no doubt! As a side note, I wanted to tell you that even though I'm sure you have mixed feelings about your time with the biker build off series, that show inspired me to delve into metal fabrication. And my main passion today is building custom cars and motorcycles, and you were one of the people that sparked that flame in me. So I just wanted to say genuinely thank you because I love what I do. 🙏
This isn’t meant to be negative-sounding, just a bit of an exploration of a design idea. Modern bikes are great, the design of anything always contains “the spirit of the time” that it was built in. The designs of these old bikes are truly remarkable. It could be said that the current spirit of design is in transition, I’d say, much like society is. Everything is beautiful but struggling to work properly right out of the gate. Vrooming on my way now.. no goggles
You should go try walking through some parking lots of establishments in your city. Find out what they ride and do what’s in your blood. Make them look cool and budget friendly. Like the fat boy!!!
I’ve been doing this for 37 years, I’ve fortunately made it to the point where I do what I want to. Some days it’s rigid frame choppers, some days it’s a FatBoy or BadBoy, some days it’s racing.
Anyone....... Did billy show up to the track towing his race bike with his modern harley ? I have been hoping he would realy do that simce he posted the video of the bike trailer.
Billy Billy that is so bad ass I love your work hey bro could you please find me a boy Coddington swingarm for a 2002 Fatboy or sell me yours or sell me your bad boy or your fat boy please I was just diagnosed with cancer this past Christmas so time is of the essence I’m on chemo right now

Those old race bikes would be a blast. I would do it in a heartbeat. Thanks for sharing Billy.
It is such a thrill. No brakes, no clutch, just pure power and speed
@@BillyLaneChoppers I can only imagine.
Wow why isn't there more of this vintage wholeness... great fun... great job Billy... Makin dreams seem real...
Great race! Like going back in time. Met Mr. Lane, what an awesome down to earth dude. Those 45s really rip around the track!

Just to see these old bikes still doing this is awesome. Shows you how the older stuff was built really well.
Awesome racing . The sounds alone are fantastic
That gas tank is a work of art your whole bike is just outrageously sick

I can’t believe those stands aren’t jampacked with more people
The actual races aren’t until Saturday the 25th.
It never really got packed, this was early in the day. Before the raceing.
Congratulations Jake

The best images were where the camera was in the pack racing with the other riders... and the far field shots.
Loved the background Thunder music...
Thank you. This was a good time video keep them coming cause there great
Another good one 👍👍
Dang those boys are getting after it pretty good! Love to see it 👍

Centrifugal force wheee. Haarrrrrr
That’s so bad ass.
Y'all need to build a board track like they raced on back in the day.
I wish! But the cost is prohibitive
Sons of Speed, Men of cast iron balls.
Luke Atkinson, W.V. Strong,
# 304!
Jay Springsteen would be proud.
So cool
Badassery incarnate.

Dude came to mind for whatever reason. He made some nice knives… that’s all hahaha
how is the track surface prepared ?.
Is that New Smyrna beach Speedway
No, this is Tennessee National Raceway. New Smyrna is a 1/2-mile asphalt track
Excuse my ignorance, but if there’s no transmission, are they direct drive, or do they have an in and out box, to achieve neutral, and starting?
push started
Like a sprint car
@@cravenmoorehead7099 Thanks
@@tillman40 Thanks
Where is Buzz.
Buzz needs to come to Tennessee, track is amazing
