Could you not combine the two game modes where after the last person on foot has been eliminated then all the cars fight to the death as per normal, so if players can entice cars over the edge whilst trying to avoid them on foot there is less to deal with later on, especially if the cars attack each other as well.
I could see a very likely issue with that idea. Those in vehicles would probably be much less risky on the edges of the island because they want to be alive with a chance to win at the end. That means there would be little to no enticing vehicles off the edge & players on foot just being able to stand in one place that is too risky for those in vehicles to want to go. So, I don't see it working.
@@_MjG_ surely though as is the case here players are standing in the sketchy areas for cars to get to anyway, so it'd just be the same game mode with sumo at the end to finish the cars off as well, especially as sometimes in this game mode it's difficult to tell who's won.
@MookVideos I don't see it the same, unless they don't care at all about winning. In this video there were players who willingly drove down into sketchy areas that they weren't likely to survive & even kamakazied themselves by intentionally driving off the island as they attempted to take out someone on foot. I don't see them doing those things if they actually want to win. Also, when there's only a few players on foot, I could see those in vehicles turning on each other, to get an early start of taking out their competition by knocking off other vehicles while there are still some players on foot.
Those on foot were already at a huge disadvantage, even with allowing them to fall into the water. There would be very short matches if they couldn't touch water.

I think an interesting race/tournament idea would be this - In Beam, a Survival Race where everyone gets a randomly generated car. After each race (probably two or three laps, depending on circuit), you switch to one of the other random cars, and continue till everyone has driven each car. Either highest average finish or most points over all races wins. This would probably take a long time to make work, but it would force you to maximize the good (or less bad) cars and do damage limitation on the bad cars and would be interesting to watch.
Interestingly, GTA somewhat seems to simulate how being hit by a car can go. The shorter sedans and the like will fling you head over heels, but you'll live - the taller-grilled trucks of any size will pull you under them and do more damage that way. A very fun to watch gamemode with near infinite variability if some of the more unique vehicles are able to be in play. Hope to see more of it! It really is scary to feel hunted by cars. Decimate Drive had the right idea.
Hi Alex, how about a game mode like Decimate Overdrive, but in the city? You, the survivor, can't use weapons or vehicles (maybe bicycles!?) and have to blend in and complete challenges. The hunters try to find and kill you with their cars, but they can't get out or use weapons?
I think it'd be fun if cats that fell off became survivors again, so survivors could almost have a comeback against the hunters. Though maybe there'd need to be a rule preventing them from becoming hunters again to prevent infinite loops?

VARIATION IDEA: Give the people a boopy gun with limited ammo to potentially hit the car off.
It would be fun to have two teams. One team on foot with Up n Atomizers and another team in cars.
