They send them from the warehouse in NSW. I don't think they test them out before sending. @edc1569 do you have any bad experience or other test results form these Jakiper batteries you want to share through a video on your channel?
Yep, I wish I had these or similar batteries versus the EG4 batteries I bought. The design and quality of the Orient Power batteries look so much better than what I have.
Which Eg4's do you have. I need to pass initial permitting so I am waiting on the Eg4 UL9540 to be approved,, That ESS battery has an outdoor enclosure and heating. It's the cheapest way I can get inspected and a certificate of Occupancy, after that I'll build my own additional batts.
Uff, that 22A charge protection limit between the full and empty battery toward the end is gonna burn a lot of power in those current limiting mosfets. If the voltage difference between those two is really 6-7V then that's around 130-150W. Would be a good opportunity to measure the temperatures of the BMS board and check their thermal design.
Hi Andy ! Great results on the new Jakiper ! A very nice lookig battery. Are you planning any tests on the new BSL Victron approved battery's currently in Oz ?
Het! Thanks for the such detailed explanation! Could you please clarify whether a balancer should start working as soon as a battery is fully charged (100%) for Pace BMS? There is no balancing starts for my battery even though there is no current incoming, but 99% SOC is displayed ((( I have no idea what went wrong. Balance Threshold is set as 3.30v and 20 millivolts deviation in BMS Parameter Settings.
Thank you very much for the instructions. I was wondering, incase the operational BMS is accidentally damaged, what will be the safety mechanism for the battery pack system. Will the system be cut-off or the battery charge-discharge can be continued somehow?
Heya, oh wouw 5 differant test's in 1 vlog nice very nice oke not filmed in 1 day but no problem for me and all the test's are tested good that's very nice too (excepted for the passive balancer lol they do not learn ) oh yeah and then you also have a discount code very nice

Just purchased 32x 280ah CATL from China for 2685.00 USD with a JBD 200ah BMS. Hopefully they will arrive in 2 months or so. A 10,2 KW high frequency Inverter for 585 USD, all this delivered. Of course, it still needs to arrive ;)
@@Juergen_Miessmer it will be sometime in 2024 it will be installed. Seems to be a continuation of the 5kw old units copied by the Chinese into lots of different brands. Looked into the Deye brand, 8kw 1400 USD delivered. Only real plus was the capability to ac coupling, which the lower price unit doesn't do.
Hi, the dry contacts of the Pace BMS cannot be programmed and have 'hard-wired' features. From memory, one is closing at any alarm and one at any protection.
Ach super, das ist doch schon mal was.Die Alarm-und Protection Grenzwerte lassen sich ja je nach Wunsch verändern bzw.anpassen....alles klar.Vielen Dank! Zur Info, die Kiste Öttinger ist Grad für 6,99 bei Rewe im Angebot.....
Out of that 5.2 kWh, how much does your tesla register as arrived in to its battery pack? Is it granular down to .x kwh or does it just show full kHw available for driving range? Awesome product from Orient Power :)
The car shows the kWh for each charging session as well. But the efficiency depends a bit on how I charge the vehicle. Here in this test, I had to choose the slowest possible setting in the Tesla to roughly pull the 22A from the battery. That is the most inefficient way to charge it though. The higher the charging power, the more efficient the internal charger in the Tesla is, up to the max of 11kW on 3 phase. I made a video about this a few years back on my car channel and compared different charging methods. I have an OBDII dongle for the Tesla, can tab into the BMS and see how much power arrives in the battery. Let me find it... th-cam.com/video/btVou1SKggY/w-d-xo.html
Regarding compatibility: has anyone a pace bms based battery running with a Growatt SPH 4600 inverter ? There are different informations. I am looking for a full native integration into the growatt app and system, not a usual pylontech emulation or plus minus cable connection. I want to use the can bus connection.
It still is only a charge balance BMS...once below 0.5A, it won't do anything anymore...and in every day application, we don't charge until OVP to trigger balancing again. That is why it is only "almoste perfect" 🐸🐸🐸
Unless you have an OVP, then the BMS keeps balancing... Yeah, not great but with around 100mA, it seems to work over time if you charge to 56V or higher.
Most of the new compact 100 amp hour lifepo4 batteries from companies lkke Powerqueen are demonstrating excellent performance. Five year warranty, too!
Hi Andy, videos great as usual. Just a quick request. Would you explain the solar power meter and how to calculate the solar power as the numbers on the meter don't reflect anywhere close to real solar. Is there a percentage or formula to calculate? Thanks again for videos Antonio
Hi Andy, the solar meter. Can't find info on the relation between the reading of the meter and actual solar panels. Would the meter be ready watts of 100% efficiency? In that case would be an easy calculation.
One test you did not do is to have all three Pace bms jakiper charging ( while at different SOC%) and see how the bms deals with the different battery voltages. I think what I have seen is that bms will try to keep all battery voltages very close by limiting or shutting off the current to individual battery if it gets a lot higher. I always thought maybe that was what they talk about when they call them "Smart " bms ?

@OffGridGarageAustralia Yes, the sun 🌞 is going to the south now but still 42+ temps. My 30° angled panels have perpendicular sun arrays at noon, daily solar generation, still around 60kw for 11.8kw panels. I am feeding back the grid with 2 8 kw all in one inverters and did a load test with16.6kw!. But the issue now I see with the voltronic is limiting the current of the 540w panels to 9.7 amps at noon because the mppt temp is getting near 80°C I have to modify the size of the internal MPPT heat sink just like what I've done with the other inverter..
@@HybridShedIraq very interesting, thanks for sharing. Is solar a big think in Iraq? I thought power prices are low and you probably won't get much for feeding in.
@OffGridGarageAustralia utility power is cheap, but it is not available for 24 hours. The street generator is pricy, and you pay not for kwh but for Amps about 10$ per Amp per month, so if I take 10 amps the generator voltage sumtimes under 195v you can't run much so power prices is expensive here. I calculated my 4.2kw solar pay back period, which is only 3 years, and it cost me 4800 US $. I installed Solar exactly 27 months ago. And I expanded it to 11.8 kw solar and 16kw inverters with 24-25kw lifepo4 in the last six months.
i don't get much since i have other loads than the inverters. I am just testing power export. once i bumped the mains volts to 250 plus by too much feed but that was in spring @@OffGridGarageAustralia
that software with the values while testing is from the BMS manufacturer and usually different or the BMS manufacturer uses a software that is shared with other manufacturers which only happens rarely. There is not swiss army knife for BMS afaik.
It seems silly to convert DC to AC for the Tesla charger to convert AC back to DC to charge it's DC battery. Can you set up a "home supercharger" 😜😜 but I guess even then the Tesla battery is at 350-400V
