Frank Zappa did it back in the 70's, when he realised bootleggers were making money out of live recordings, he took matters into his own hands by cloning bootlegs of the bootlegs under a series called "Beat the Boots". He copied the audio & artwork of the bootlegs and released them under his own label, selling them cheaper than the bootlegs.
I'm 48. My 17 yr old son just got me into this band. Love them and it's clear to see what their influences are and how incredibly well versed they are in excellent music. Great to see the kids can still rock!
They’re the best live show at the moment, hands down. I travelled to Mexico for their 3 Hr show and it has been the most energizing and uplifting night of my life. I can’t wait to see them again.
I've seen them this month two nights in a row. They played in Šibenik in a castle. Best bend to see live so far! Also, this year I saw Idles, Sons of Kemet and Nick Cave but Gizz are step up for me!
On my second watch-through now without a pause after the first. This may be in the top 2-3 Gizz videos in consideration of everything-the quality of the sound, the performance, the video, the setlist, etc. The only minor issue is the overly-hyperactive cutting between different shots, the constant zooms, closeups etc. Supposed to enhance the energy I assume, but the performance has all we need. Fortunately it’s only in some places, not throughout…So still beats almost anything I’ve seen.
lucas is really fucking carrying with that bass. so damn impressive, i cannot imagine the stamina and endurance that goes into playing a show like this. joey's solo is insane as well, this is definitely the best concert i have ever seen on video. i wish i was there SO DAMN BAD.

I've seen these guys 5 times now and they just do not stop putting out the best music on the planet. Mind blowing. The version of Robot Stop in this I think is the best I've ever heard and they just casually open with it. Insane.
and to still be able to incorporate such unique applications of music theory in the most incredible ways, true masterclass musicians and humble to the boot. this is pure musical genius and mastery all in one perfectly dosed pscyhedelic trip

Don't sleep on Bonnaroo folks. 2022 was my 10th bonnaroo and I was at this show! Easily top 3 of the whole weekend. Bonnaroo is a very unique festival! 50,000 + people camping together in the heat and fucked weather, coming together for music and having a good time. Everyone helps each other and generally cares for the well being of their festival friends. Of course there might be some bad mixed in the good and that should be expected when that many people get together. BUT! the positive out weighs all the negative and the weekend is just magical! Highly recommend this festival to any really music lover that doesn't mind getting dirty and roughing it for a weekend.
For such a tight unit, they must've been so apprehensive getting back into touring after basically two years without live performances. They're absolutely back into the swing of things now!
Been a huge fan of these guys since highschool but every time they came out to my city there was some reason i wasnt going to make it out. My friend always said not to worry cus theyre gods and tour all the time. After the two year drought of no live music i got to see them twice this year already and am seeing them for a third time in a few weeks. Im so pumped ive rewatched this set twice now and will probably watch it a few more times before and after the next show. These guys are so worth it! Cannot get enough!

That sick guitar solo at the end of Magenta Mountain is the best moment of the show! Such a dreamy song, with a dark, grim guitar solo at the end. Drum solo amid Gaia is also incredible :)
As much as I love the over the top face melt of "The Dripping Tap" or "Head On/Pill", when we witnessed "Magenta Mountain" at "Timeland" no-one had heard it before, and when the solo kicked in, the whole place went ballistic :) one of the reasons to see them live.. and they played the back end of "Murder of the Universe" fun times :)
If you like that sort of stuff, the long middle-eastern sounding guitar solo: you might like Ozric Tentacles. Tracks: Vibuthi, Vita Voom, Eternal Wheel.
I saw them in Prague three days ago, the rendition of Magenta Mountain wasn't as long as it was here, but still had that extended jam towards the end and it was absolutely one of the high points of the show. Truly an amazing live band - they always give something more than in the studio versions, and its always different every show.
And here i thought the ‘21 Sydney live was the best you’ve done. Man this is a goddamn good show. I still cant get over how good the work this time solo was.

I’ve always enjoyed KG but when I saw this live show a few weeks ago, I can’t stop listening. Haven’t been this pumped about a band in a long time. Reminds me of the great late Roky Erickson, although being more progessive, but spiritwise. There`s also a bit MC5 and Dead Kennedys in it, you can even here Black Sabbath and Metal riffs.
