He’s getting older and it requires a lot of commitment and dedication to stay in shape to go at his age. He knows it well. Safer and wiser to do what he is doing now. He will be around the wrestling world. Making appearances but as far as wrestling matches concerned he has been done for years now. It’s just he made it official with one last run for everyone to be a part of.

I never take a wrestler seriously when they say they're retiring. Time will tell.
He'll still make appearances after he retires, but in the ring, he's got nothing left to prove. Also he's Essentially a full time actor now.
