That .50 you got toward the end is actually a real .50 cal and it’s called the lynx. The whole barrel reciprocates I’m the gun. It’s pretty cool but a very heavy gun.
Yep, the GM6 Lynx, the reason it looks so dinky and short in the shop is that the rifle is designed to lock the barrel as far into the rifle as possible when not deployed for transportation purposes, meaning when you deploy the rifle you get this fun experience of watching the barrel slide out of the rifle into its extended position. its a very interesting gun given its bullpup design used in tandem with the .50 bmg caliber, as well as the heavily reciprocating barrel design.
It was a military prototype 50 cal sniper rifle for infantry to counter enemy helicopters so you can easily fire the rifle when standing up then what you would be able to do with the original barret, the rifle isn't gas like normal guns are so it uses the recoil to cycle the rounds into the chamber so that's another reason for the barrel to move like that
Not as heavy as the M82, theres are reason why the Lynx is considered to be one of the most compact and lightweight AMR, also its just 10kg, M82 is around 15kg

Love the series Fooster! Someone has probably mentioned it already, but the cool details with the straps and chords you seen on some of the weapons are the real deal. Commonly in the military (at least in the US) we use 550 or parachord to tie down our optics to our weapons. Most of the time it's required actually. This is so that if an optic, or any attachments come lose and fall off, we won't lose them. Super cool detail they added and I'm glad you noticed!
The wire on the vector is likely a button for a flashlight/laser attachment. lots of them have a button on a wire that can be placed closer to the hand.
You can turn off the skinning animation to save time next time you need to grab a heart during a fight/ grab multiple before de-spawning
Just a heads up Foost; Ajay didn't actually turn into a yeti by the end. I think the devs confirmed that was a hallucination.
Either way, I really enjoyed this series!

@@DARKStormCod Devs confirmed that it was just a hallucination, Ajay didn't turned into one, the hallucination was caused by the yellow gas the relic was emitting and the post-ending don't mean anything, the FC5's cannon story ended with its ending, that you can play after the ending is just put into the game to explore further, finish side quests and collect collectibles

Those little wires are usually hooked up to pressure pads so you can use your grip to turn your flashlights/lasers on and off quickly

Gonna give you a cool tip Fooster, the sniper you got is a GM6-Lynx. It is 24.9lbs when empty and is a .50 BMG bullpup. An amazing design, but it seems too heavy for cqc as designed for. Oh and the barrel articulation is to reduce recoil
I've noticed the more I progress in the game, the more Yetis I see roaming around. Loving this series and all your other ones!

I was low-key expecting the line to go, ‘if you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could ever imagine’, ala Star Wars: A New Hope lol. The similarity should have had your character still say sarcastically, ‘Okay Obi-Wan’.
Those little wires are usually indicators that there is a pad which essentially is an on off button for your flashlights/ lasers but only when you press the button down

That sniper rifle you were using was a real firearm called the GM6 Lynx. It is a bullpen 50 BMG that uses a long recoil action. Which means the recoil of the firearm cycles the action which is why the barrel reciprocates like that. Another cool feature is that the barrel can lock back so it takes up less space and is deployed by a button near the front of the gun.
This series has been amazing to watch, the effort and time put into your videos make them standout, honestly love your channel and always catch up on your videos, cant wait to see what you do next, although I have been enjoying the horror games youve been playing at the moment, cant wait to see more, and as always thank you Fooster ❤
I LOVE Far Cry!! That was an amazing and cold adventure and I had so much fun! I think its cute and kinda love that you turn into a yeti, it seemed peaceful and an invitation more than we are taking you over. Like:
"Come, live like us, walk with us, its nice here, we welcome you brother."

The SA-50 is a .50 cal anti materiel rifle for destroying vehicles or explosives and just like on the Barret family, the whole barrel reciprocates to catch some of that shoulder popping recoil
fun stuff. gotta use the hunting syringe so you can see where the enemy are, super helpful
There’s a lot of heavy caliber guns that have retracting barrels. It’s part of the unlocking process of extracting spent round. It also reduces recoil.

The SA-50 is based on the real life GM6 Lynx. It's the only 50bmg (as far as I know) that has a retractable gun barrel. So that it's shorter for easier transport - but because of how the reload mechanism works and the moving barrel - it has a "kinda" low recoil for a 50cal. (comparably to others)
Very interesting gun concept for the hungarian army. There are quite a few videos on youtube about it.

Hey Fooster even though you finished this dlc once they call for reinforcements they can't call for more so you don't have to worry about taking them out if you are already caught and they sound the alarm. Great vid's as always.

That rifle you spent 30,000 credits firing at that bear is a .50 cal BMG bullpup rifle. The barrel moves back because that’s the semi-auto action at work, which is what a Barret uses because of just how powerful the round is, otherwise the recoil would knock you over backwards. I think DemolitionRanch did a video a year or two ago about the real bullpup .50 BMG rifle if you want to watch it, Fooster.
u aint wrong on doing far cry, for me the best one storyline and playthrough wise is still the very first far cry. location etc is awesome

The wire runs to a switch, it could be a red dot or a torch, have them on my airsoft rifs so the torch or red dot is only on when your holding the switch down

You should play around with the explosive and fire arrows sometime, they come with the blackmarket trades skill or something like that. You can find them in at the trading post and on the wandering trader.

iirc the sa-58 is a bullpup sniper rifle, and that's why the barrel slides back like that.

in pro tip that 500 nitro you don't use anymore is almost the strongest gun legal to own by usa citizens
US citizens can legally own cannons.
But in terms of rifles, .700 nitro is pretty much as big as it gets, i believe 20mm is also legal, but no single person is gonna be carrying a 20mm
