- On today's SkinCare Saturday video we are going to delve into custom haircare! As you know...my hair struggle is real. Not only do I feel like I'm losing it, but I also have to dye it more and more frequently because of (dare I say) the greys. And this grocery store box dye is not cutting it anymore. I need something that will last longer than 3 weeks. So I did some research and stumbled across this company called eSalon...and they make Custom Hair Color and Custom Shampoo...and guess what?! Massaging the conditioner from midlength out is to keep your hair from going flat. Color turned out really nice 😊❤️

It looks gorgeous. You did a great job. One little tip is that the shampoo and conditioner that comes with it is designed to lay your cuticles back down and fixes the ph balance after a chemical treatment. So maybe next time it will feel smoother. But it looks amazing and shiny as well as healthy. 😍❤️

@jillpotts7472 - It was pretty easy...the directions were more wordy than they needed to be.
Think they did a great job with the colour. Only time will tell if the other products are worthwhile. I would use them and then once a month use a clarifying shampoo. X

@jillpotts7472 - I'm just sensitive about it...so I can see the greys the minute they peek their little heads out.
Oh I so prefer that lovely colour on you, less red and more rich auburn-y brown. Beautiful! Maybe you can find a root powder in a similar colour to brush on to your hairline when you are in between colorings so you can push it a bit longer between dying.
@Britbabe53 - Thank you...it looks a bit more natural...which is what I was going for. I do use a Root Spray (on occasion) to cover up my roots in between color...but now that I have the color mask, I'm going to give that a go and see how it works.
Loved the color! Is a lil pricy, but looks like a salon finish rather than a box!
@AngeliqueLaVake2020 - I know...they get you with the $11 starter kit...but now my price is going up to $26. That's like 3 box colors from the Grocery Outlet :)
Just remember to deep condition your hair regularly since you not only colour so frequently but also have naturally curly hair. 👌

Between shampoos try Roux Fanciful where ever you need it. Great dark brown colors. And, of course, you can mix different colors or layer them, too. Best to apply to wet hair, but I've touched up dry hair also.

@SUGARBUGAR - Thank you. And yes...Pole Training as in Pole dancing...but Pole Fitness is so much more than that. It's really more about the fitness aspect of pole rather than taking your top off for dollars. And believe me...never once have we taken our tops of for dollars :) Pole fitness is just a super fun way to stay in shape and build muscle. I love it! And if you have a Pole Fitness studio in your area...you should totally look into it!

The reason you only process the pre-colored hair for 5 min is because it’s already been processed. Its really damaging to process all the hair over and over again. You only need to pull it through the last 5 min to deposit the color at the end. Way less damaging. ❤️💄

The color is beautiful. You have been coloring your mid, and ends for a very long time. So have such a buildup of color, which only damages the shaft and ends. Your ends never go grey, so no need to keep adding color every time. That's why they told you to do new growth for 25 minutes, ends for 5. You honestly should just do your new growth only. I would bet your hair would say thank you!!!! And it's so important to really rinse that conditioner, it will build up on your ends big time, also causing hair loss. I think you should stick to E Salon, way better than box store, worth the price, or keep losing your hair. Good luck, it all takes time for your hair to come back.💕
I really love the color on you and after you straightened it so nice and shiny looks like a great product. Oh, I’ve been going to the same guy coloring my hair for over 20 years he never does my roots only. No middle or ends ! He just does my roots. Every once in a while I get highlights I believe the color goes towards the ends. as he is shampooing it out that’s it!!!
@janfontana2530 - Lately...because I've been having to color my hair so often, I have been skipping my ends...I can see the dry damage...so, I've really been steering clear of color anything but my roots and mids. And you're right...I think I should stick with eSalon's color...I can already tell it's way better than the box dye I've been using my entire life.
@colleencolquhoun8818 - I try not to do my ends all of the time, but when your buying hair dye based on what's on sale...sometimes I gotta dye those mids and ends to make the color look uniform throughout. :)

@barbaragroves - You should totally give it a try! As far as the stock tank pool...it's going good. I've already hung out in it twice this summer. The only bad thing is...I did not properly take care of it over the winter and the pond liner that I used to seal it cracked and peeled away...so I am going to have to redo that after this summer is over...but other than that...I'm still loving it.

Red washes out faster then anything n if you go to Sally's n get any NN,it lasts wayyyyyyy longer (trust me on this one).Has to be NN

Looks really pretty just the way it is. by the time u read this that Balayage is probably already done. That is bleach and I would not try that on your ends, they are way to fragile… and that mask will not correct anything. Now if you cut your hair shoulder length you may be able to pull it off. Always be real careful with bleach……hope that helps.
@laurieelle1420 - Haven't tried the Balayage yet...but thank you for the tips. If my ends look super bad after doing...I'll have Davis come over and give me a little trim :)
@@ThisisRealLifeWithSheri still I only know this stuff because I was a cosmetologist way back in the day, bleach and red tones hard to do even for professional, so don’t go crazy do a test strip and see what it does, yes u will have to buy another kit, but u will be glad u did😊

@zuma5443 - I haven't tried Henna. But funny you asked...my co-worker gave me some Henna hair color to try...I just haven't worked up the courage yet. I know this hair color is pretty predictable...I'm not so sure about Henna hair color :)
@@ThisisRealLifeWithSheri Henna is amazing and very good for your health and hair. You can search for a good brand and choose a shade you aim for and just try 1 small section and also try on your greys to see what will happen. It will cover the greys and if you dye your hair with a regular hair dye after henna, the dye will stick more on your hair because henna pigments bonds well on the greys. I use henna and indigo powder because I have dark hair and I like to measure and mix things myself...and for me henna is not an alien thing since I'm from Morocco (but grew up in the Netherlands) and we use henna on a regular basis. However if you like a more predictable results maybe Surya henna is a good one to try (I have no experience with this brand but dr. Dray recommend it and maybe I will try it too some day but for now I'm fine with the old school powders😊). You have a great brown/redish color and if I had your hair I would definitely give henna a good try! If you do so, please let me know or just make a video experiment with henna, I would love to see the results!

@chrissy31ful - Jennifer Aniston has hair care?! I had no idea. I will for sure look into it and will maybe give it a try as soon as I am done with this Aura stuff.
I tried the Jennifer Aniston hair care and wasn't impressed at all. The leave in conditioner smells very chemical and not pleasant and it left my very thin and damaged hair very greasy. I've been using the Bumble and Bumble hair dressers leave in conditioner and enjoying it.
I'm from Australia bumble hair products are so expensive here but if it works I will try it thanks
