Hi I am uzbek. I also build greenhouses and I can learn how to build these greenhouses as your greenhouses are also very good and wonderful.

Really great video! I used to have grapes in my back yard when I was a kid. My mom used the grapes and the leaves for all kinds of recipes.

@@PlantLifeYT just an afterthought, but I’ve been curious how Brian would design his own racking ‘rig’ or ‘ station’. Not for this channel, but still piques my curiosity.

Honestly I wouldn’t. Too many variables to take into account. Just raise one vessel, lower the other and you can rack anything.

I used to have a small greenhouse/potting shed in my previous house. It was great to start seedlings in early spring and to allow more frost-sensitive plants to survive winter. I miss it... if I can come up with the cash and convince my landlord to install outside water access, I’m definitely getting myself a new one. My chickens are history and the location of where their run used to be would be perfect!

I hope that works out for you! I am finding the additions to my greenhouse has made it much more useful.

@@PlantLifeYT - Definitely! An easy water source nearby, perhaps shelves or a work area to pot things, hooks to hang stuff on, good ventilation... etc. Winters over here are too cold to have one without a roof like yours but the idea of having a plant growing against it to provide a shady area definitely would be on my list as well!

In NZ, we actually grow whole plants in our greenhouses, so they don’t have flooring, just soil. We plant directly into the soil. Often have rails running along the length so we can have cords coming down to train climbing plants up. We don’t have shelves etc in them, that would be a propagating shed.

Same here Kat. There are many different versions of greenhouses but the basics are the structure, not what one does inside. Ours used to have a full irrigation system and we used to grow lettuce in there in ground. Now it is much more helpful for me to work as what you would call a propagating shed.

grape vines are ideal shade for summer , winter the vines leaves are gone. Freinds dad built a shade house using White shade cloth, it stays very Bright inside yet cuts the suns harsh heat off the leaves in summer. Im no fan of CCA treated wood be careful with it.
