I love your channel!!! You guys are the real deal!!! You inspire me to live simply. You both seem very kind and I can't wait to watch all your videos. I was born and raised in a holler in the Appalachia Mountains of Eastern KY. I grew up with no indoor plumbing. We had an outhouse, and we got our drinking water from the same old dug well that my Great Grandparents dug by hand. I can still remember that sweet cold water that my sister drew for us. We raised plenty of taters and kept them in a tater hole that was dug into the ground during winter. I remember picking up taters behind the old mule and plow. We grew and canned our own tomatoes, green beans, sweet corn, onions and we made kraut with our cabbages. We gathered black walnuts in the fall and kept them in a cardboard box behind the heating stove.I loved cracking the black walnuts in the winter time with a hammer...my sister would make homemade fudge with them. We gathered blackberries and canned them.We dried apples . We raised hogs and feeding the hogs after school was my responsibility. The hogs became my pets. It was so hard for me when December came because I knew what was going to happen to my hogs. We raised chickens and had plenty of eggs -even a small steady supply of eggs during winter. My mother would make chicken and dumplins on special occasions. We heated our old house with coal of course and every morning my brothers would take the ashes out and dump them in the garden and then pack in a bucket full of coal and make the morning fire. On Saturday nights my brothers would pack in water to heat for our bath in the old galvanized wash tub.We all worked hard. We didn't have much money but we never went hungry. Times have changed for the worse. I wanted my own children to have all the things I never had but sometimes I wonder if I did the right thing. My children do not know what hard work is. They do not know the satisfaction and pride of eating food that you've grown and harvested yourself . Sorry for writing so much but watching your videos has made me nostalgic. Very funny opening. I was thinking OMG, these people better call 911 because they are going to freeze to death. When we travel ,my wife often says, please get some heat in this (RV) tin can. It gets really cold in a hurry when up in the mountains. like above 10,000 ft and the RV furnace does the job. Looks like you guys are going to be Ok, a wood stove will do the job. Some people build a house around their old RV and then dismantle the RV when the exterior is done and so forth. Good Luck, stay safe and God Bless!

orangie84 My husband and I our apartment stays at 78 in the fall and winter months and 68 to 70 in the spring and summer months. Our monthly bill is around $110.00 at the most $120.00 depending if we use our oven and store a lot for cooking. We went and got a griddle and we also have a microwave for cooking. It's just him and I so we don't eat much and cooking for us is easy. I also cook with a slow cooker for meals also. Last month our bill was $96.00 but when we lived in a house before moving into our apartment our bill would run around $250.00 to $400.00 a month. A big difference then what we was paying every month.
WAX MELT LOVER 78? That's way too warm. When you get older youll have problems with joints. Please don't use microwave for cooking it's terrible for you

this has to be my favourite of your videos so far not only does it show the humour you both have but also blows out the stereotypical assumptions that people have ie freezing in the dark in a tiny home in winter. I've learned so many tips by watching your channel so that I'm that much more ready to make decisions when my time to go Tinyhouse comes!.. Keep up sharing the journey!! x
I've been watching you guys for a long time but I must have missed this video which my made laugh out loud. Elizabeth your laugh was so infectious. Great video guys 💕💕
Wood heat is the best and the cheapest. I heat my house year round on 100 bucks. 50 dollars for the permit to gather wood and 50 dollars in gas to haul it home on my truck. I know some people who use full electric heat and they pay upwards of 5,000 a year just for heat! I'll never pay that kind of money as long as i'm good and able, maybe one day when I'm old and can't do the work but even then it would be a last resort.
Electric isn't going to do much good unless you're plugged into shore power. And a quality wood stove isn't going to make you stink unless you already stink.
These little wood stoves can make you strip to your undies. They are extremely powerful. Besides, heat from a wood stove is much healthier for you. Very theraputing sitting by it watching the flames dance while warming up the place on a cold rainy/ snowy night. Blessings to you. You guys are so adorable together!
we moved into our RV fulltime in Ontario, Canada in April this year! This will be our first winter in the RV! We are excited to see how it goes! Thanks for the tips!

Blooper was hilarious. Thanks, For making an old man laugh.Take care and enjoy the holiday season.:)
I do have to say you both are wonderful together... 💝
Such a warm video. You guys are great
Very funny opening.
You two are so well messed together & watching you makes me smile! Very educational for me preparing to go it alone with my 2 Chihuhuas, baby steps & tons of learning. Thanks for doing this, you make it desirable to keep prepping!
That is great. My wife and I talk about downsizing, but I can't get her to understand we have to get rid of stuff
I like you guys sense of humor! Lol
That's what Love and Marriage is supposed to be about !! Watching your love for each other melts my heart !! The entire world really needs to see the both of you don't know what love and life is truly about!

81 degrees??!! That's not hot, that's sweltering!! I couldn't deal with it that hot... lol... My apartment is never more than 72...
orangie84 My husband and I our apartment stays at 78 in the fall and winter months and 68 to 70 in the spring and summer months.
I keep mine between 62-67 in the winter or it gets too warm
WAX MELT LOVER 78? That's way too warm. When you get older youll have problems with joints. Please don't use microwave for cooking it's terrible for you
When it’s -10 outside it’d probably feel nice. Crack a window open if you get warm.
62 in the minnesota winter, yep... put on a sweater!
You guys are adorable. Great video!😄🐾
LOVE THE BLOOPER REEL!!! Great great touch!!
Lmao she beat me to it about being corny😂😂😂😂🤣. Anyone could see that the love between you two is REAL. The way you guys look at each other when you're speaking is adorable. Cuteness overload!!!
Way too cool!! You two are so laid back and funny. My wife and i do silly stuff like the intro all the time. Bless you and your FREEZING house !! lol !
#Goals you guys are so cute ❤ God bless you!
Im not rich, will you marry me? lets achieve the goal together, heh ?
Fedor Amuricano * i will and i DO* 😘😘😘😉
You guys are too cute for words!!
this has to be my favourite of your videos so far not only does it show the humour you both have but also blows out the stereotypical assumptions that people have ie freezing in the dark in a tiny home in winter. I've learned so many tips by watching your channel so that I'm that much more ready to make decisions when my time to go Tinyhouse comes!.. Keep up sharing the journey!! x
Glad we could help!
My husbands favorite motto " When is enough ENOUGH ??" Mine is " you are as rich as what you can live without ".
That’s good! 👍🏼
How cool, thanks for sharing guys! You two are fun!
I've been watching you guys for a long time but I must have missed this video which my made laugh out loud. Elizabeth your laugh was so infectious. Great video guys 💕💕
😊 Thank you. This was our first viral video!
@@LiveSimpleLiveFreeWelcome to show biz! 🤗🤗 Love that.
Wood stove is the way to go.
Pellets stoves are great also. I have a St. Croix that I can burn wood or corn or combine the two
Cute couple.
+wildirishindian ! since when does wood stink!
:-)
This made me smile. Thank you. Love the energy I felt watching this video. 💖🤗🤗
You guys are so funny, I was worried for a minute. ;)
You both are funny. love it smile
we moved into our RV fulltime in Ontario, Canada in April this year! This will be our first winter in the RV! We are excited to see how it goes! Thanks for the tips!
You two are adorable!
Something tells me we wouldn't share politics, but They r cuties!
Ha! I Juan assumed that they were Trumper crazies (hence my politics comment) funny you figured them as liberals. I like them either way
Haha i copied your comment.
Little roof over our heads haha copied your comment!
Never-mind the politics here, but this is what a happy marriage looks like. People these days seem to let insignificant things get between them, and that's sad.
Sweet video. Great couple.
I am a new subscriber and I have been batch watching your videos :-). The opening of this one had me giggling!! Looking forward to catching up with them in stages, most especially tea with Jesus ❤️ Keep ignoring the nasty trolls and continue spreading love and cheer across the inter webs :-) San x
Good to have a good sense of humor. I have only had a dishwasher two years in our marriage. . It's just the two of us so I don't need one. Don't mind doing dishes. Good job.
