In the gym Its better to do 2 sets of hard reps till failure, instead of 5 sets of not high intensity, too much volume is the downfall of natty lifters cause your body can't recover as fast compared to a lifter on steroids in the sense of building muscle, in a athlete sense im not as sure, but if your trying to build muscle try and lower the volume and go up in weight and intensity.
I started training exactly like that about a month ago, and the results are wayyyy better, thank you bro!
