Excellent first episode! Good introduction of your shop and what you do plus a great example of one of your beautiful projects.
I like that it was around 5 minutes long - not too little not too much (although longer would be fine too!) The videography is skillfully executed with nice clear shots (good panning speed - not too fast) and with very good lighting and sound. You must have hired a professional for that part.
Looking forward to many more episodes including perhaps some technical instruction, what to look out for, how you do things in your shop and buyers guide episodes. 👍
Hi, FL, Many thanks for your comments, Our plan is to show the devotion and enthusiasm for the W123, and feature vehicles World-Wide, with enough support from friends of W123 World, I can approach Daimler A.g to re-supply many of the parts now no longer available to keep these superb vehicles alive, Mark C.
Great work and a great first episode. Thank you. Just wish Mercedes could take the hint and produce one model which is truly built to last. People would pay the extra money just like they did back in the 1980s.
W123 is now a 50yr old design, I don't think Daimler A.g. could bring it back, but you have an excellent point, why make cars to throw away? W123 was meant to last, Surely that's more environmentally friendly?
@@w123world exactly! The CO2 emissions caused by having to replace your car every 5 - 7 years are off the scale. I’m going to start a campaign called “make Mercedes great again”. We’re in the awful situation where the only long lasting new cars are Toyota Land Cruiser or a Lexus. Neither of which appeal to me. So something has to change!
Which is the long term point of our videos, to maybe make Daimler A.g. see how much the W123 is still loved and support the model more.

The best car ever. I have two: 240D automatic, y.1979, in my possesion over 20 years and 230 E petrol, manual, y.1982, owner from 2013. I had also W123 300 turbodiesel, y.1985, imported from Florida, but I sold it last year.

( Working in second revised volume at moment) We have a superb Signal Red 200T Auto available if you want to turn the clock back ? ( You'd never find a 40yr old Beemer!)

Grand. I inherited a 230 which was collected by my father from Sindelfingen back in 1976. It was languishing in my father's garage, then driven by me to Germany where it has since languished in our garage. Other than the 'specialist' garage which was supposed to service its Stromberg but screwed it up and a small amount of rust, it's still in perfect nick with a genuine 96,000 kms on the clock. Oddly enough, I've been unable to find a Stromberg specialist here in Germany. Any thoughts, as it really is a shame that such a beautiful car simply languishes ?
There must be a Stromberg specialist in Germany somewhere, spend some time checking out Mercedes Classic specialists.
I imported an 85 w123 300dt from California a few years ago. She is well used but mechanically excellent and rust free. Is there any treatment or procedure that you recommend to protect this car from British weather? She is locked away for almost 6 months every year which is a shame.
Yes, We can carry out a full corrosion preventative on your W123 if required, Inside all doors/box cavities and full underbody coverage ( Wing liners removed) after extensive cleaning first and attention to any corrosion already present. I can't give an exact price as every car is different, but if yours is as good as some of the vehicles we already have from California budget around £1,500 Inc all parts/ materiels ( No Vat)
