I used one at a cemetery and a stick figure appeared on a headstone. It didn't map out on any other headstone and I was holding still. No one was standing g near it. So why wouldn't it map out a stick figure anywhere else?
Because there's no spirit. You can use an emf meter where the stick figure is to make sure its real if you have one. I do it anytime my camera catches one. Like a verification cause sometimes it does break
Oui, c'est exact, il te suffit de démarrer le logiciel tout en restant immobile dans la pièce où tu remarques une activité quelconque. Ah bah tu es sûr que le résultat sera réel ^^
Okay, but what if they're used as stationary infrared cameras to record areas where there won't be any foot traffic during the course of an investigation? In that scenario surely they couldn't hurt?
You have to assume that something paranormal would only happen in one area and then leave it there until something happened. It would also have to be a room empty of anything it could map on accident. Then you would have to prove that others could set up their own SLS and get the same result. If you can pull all that off, then you will win a Nobel prize. Not joking.
If one is ghost hunting, aren’t they already making bold assumptions? I both agree and disagree with your assertions. As stated, if the SLS is stationary, at least relatively stable, I have to believe that the infrared can easily discern changes and will factor in for anomalies. Your lack of precise terminology suggests to me that you’re a user of the product, in some form, and not the designer. -No offense intended- I’m curious as to the length of depth (how far away) and the height and width the connect was designed for. Do you happen to know? I do agree that some of the results, especially those up close, are dubious. The figures that are all wonky cause me pause for thought. I don’t agree that a pattern on a wall is going to affect the connect one way or another. Moving, with a slow-ish, steady pace with the connect shouldn’t negatively impact a consistent acquisition -I believe that the sensors are refreshing at a rate high enough to accommodate high speed (sporting event speed, as opposed to walking speed).
Interesting video. However I have been on investigattions using this camera, and it was mounted on a tripod. And I saw a figure sitting in a chair and responding to requists such as can you wave at us to let us know you're hear with us. In which at that point the arm raised and swayed side to side a couple of times. The rest of the figure did not move.
I have seen the validity of this too when used properly however: The issue with the chair is that many will give you a false hit and the hands move and appear to wave. The problem is discerning an artifact versus the real deal, so I always just ignore that evidence unless it stands up and leaves the chair. If it is genuine and it’ll wave, it’ll stand up as well. There is nothing planting them to a chair unless it is the software struggling in which case it’s usually a false hit.
Arms are always swinging around when it detects a false positive, you would have to have more specific instructions to make it more compelling than just wave on arm. Also chairs are easy to make false positives as it detects legs waist and back so itmakes up the rest.
What I have observed to as people scan a room with an SLS with it unfixed is that it will give a positive on reflections. I am unsure about fixed SLS, as unfixed devices are something I have only observed in more recent ghost hunting videos. Thanks for covering this again!
I have an SLS, and it works inside, and in some case I do get false detection while moving, but I do recommend using it for your investigation. But then again, I develop my own application for my use .... can speak for others applications out there.
I don't doubt that investigators "could and have" gotten good evidence of spirit figures with the SLS; however, what he's explaining is that it isn't designed to be mobile. To get reliable results it should be stationary. I too am very cautious when viewing those that use the SLS, because they constantly move around and get wonky figures and assume it's a ghost. I think that creates a false sense reliability.
@@hawkinshouseofhorror4006 for me personally, the only way I'm gonna be convinced, is if the stick figure responds intelligently to the investigator...for example, raising an arm upon request would be significant. I say we stick to old school techniques that work.
@@kevmodee1866I suggest if you're able to watch Ghost Adventures you will see if they ask it to wave or touch one of the other people there you can see that it does. They have also seen Spirits through the SLS and then taking a picture seen weird orbs where that Spirit was to.
FYI, It's called "Mapping". It will pick up objects when the camera is stationary. The "Object" will intelligently move an arm or leg and wave / provide motion when the item has been asked to provide confirmation ! I agree that f you move the camera, it can take objects as lamps or ceiling fans and distort them in the sls mode.
I think using the Xbox one kinect would be far better cause they corrected the false positives (where the kinect would mistake inanimate objects as a person) with the xbox one kinect. Planing to build one using the Xbox one kinect
What you left out is the fact why the figures that are not us move around around weird is because they are not solid like we are, so they are more difficult to map. Something else you left out is when we ask for a response (i.e. "can you raise your right hand" , they immediately respond at times. I can't speak for everyone, but I know not to aim at relective surfaces-even shiney doors. The only movement is slow and if something starts to be acquired, I no longer move it.
I want to add to this comment that I have also received EVP responses in direct connection with the usage of SLS. While it is true that these cameras pick up patterns and latch onto things that resemble people such as tripod stands computer towers stuffed animals, dolls and other objects, they do still detect presences. I agree with your comment, just wanted to add to it. :) I have 41 years of paranormal experience and for the past 20 years have engaged in intense paranormal experimentation. I have a physics degree as well. Just wanted to add credentials so you know I am not just speaking out of my bum. lol
False positives have janky movements and often raise hands, if thats all it did for you then its fake. Make it clap its hands above its head and swing its hips from side to side
I dunno? Watching the YT channel “Really Haunted”’s Kinect video’s, I fond they’re very compelling. One specifically for me, published May 10 this year named “OMG This Just Happened To Me In My House” - the figure that knocks the phone out of his hand. Really compelling in my opinion. ✌️
Bruh I literally just watched that a few minutes ago, the channel is called "really haunted" and checked the description on what camera he uses then searched it
Yes i watched his channel and somethings that happen are prob unexplained with one video in his bedroom while he was sleeping with Kinect and a stick figure was pulling over his dresser at the same time on video , the kinect was locked off.
The limbs teleport from one position to another too and sometimes rapidly switching back and forth which produces false animated movement (the erratic jittery dancing effect) .That should give people a clue that it's an imperfect analysis algorithm constantly adjusting to the data and not a ghost detector.
Ghosts have the ability to defy physics and move at supernatural speeds. Actually, why am I bothering, you people don’t even know what you’re dealing with! These are Jinn and are conscious beings living on a different physical plane to us. Those who are good jinn worship god and those who are bad we refer to as demons and devils, they take orders from satan himself
We use the SLS camera but when we is it we seat it down on a stable platform and don't touch it. I understand where you're coming from and you're absolutely right it's not meant to be moved around. But in a stable environment should be able to use it reliably. That's why when we use the SLS camera we always put it down on a stationary platform such as a table chair counter or something like that stand behind it so we're not in front of it. I think in that context can be very reliable if you capture something.
@dennieguppy, how about if you're outside with it mounted on something like a tripod or some other non-moving base, can it be reliable in that context? This would be in the absence of artificial light.
OK when me and my sister first turned it on we both jumped back and screamed because there was a little girl literally in black before eyes but the weird part was my sister saw it coming towards her and I saw it leaving. How is that possible? We shut it off and never used it again. Little bit of a history, my home my land has so many levels of paranormal, but no one would believe it
You used a kinect and instead of a stick figure you daw a girl dressed in black? Then you should see it with your own eyes too. Its just a camera, it does not have a magical vision, if it can see it you can too.
I agree with you and moving it, I modified mine with a camera mount "nut" so I can mount it to a tripod, again everything has to be debunked, however, if you call out and one appears, you ask it to raise arms, disappear for 10 seconds or bring a friend with them... Well this is much different from the break dancing figures that's usually on people's videos. Once I was at a place and there was a figure that kept coming and going, in the end my friend said it was interesting to see it picking up two spirits.. My reply was "well I can't say it was as we only ever seen one on the screen" about 5 seconds after there was 3 in view on the screen, again no I dont move the camera. My thought was they was looking at my screen watching their friend on the camera lol
It’s wild when they’ll go over to a piece of tech and you can film them prodding and poking at it. I’m frankly not convinced they’re ghosts. There are just intelligent beings that are energy based and we have a habit of limited nomenclature. If I sit down with a camera recording in IR and simply have the intent to entertain, so to speak, it’s fascinating so see the balls of light that show up. With the naked eye you may see a ripple of very faint purple or some other color in the dark…..but on IR cam the faces will appear crisp in the mass of light. Some have huge cat eyes, others beards. Humanoid but not…human facial proportions? Maybe that’s just the kind that interact with me. It’s not location based and I have a high success rate of getting those to show up upon invitation. I only know of a few people who can do the same thing- but it’s not exactly something easily searchable. So all I’ve done since it started in 2019 is record it, document it, study them….
Ok but what if..... You have the camera on a table in a stable position (not moving) looking at the whole room and you see a figure just coming out of nowhere (where there is nobody else in the room) and it just starts walking and then you see it sit on a chair?
Thank you for saving from making a beginners mistake and wanting a cool camera that doesn't work for what I need it for and you saved me lots of money... Thank u sir
I have one and I can tell when it's a false hit. But please explain how when stationary for many minutes and a figure pops in and I ask can you raise your arms and it does how do you explain that? Sorry for the edit but I also received a very clear evp on my digital recorder at the same time when the figure was on the screen. My wife asked are you a good or bad spirit, I have the recording the answer was (some of us are good).
Hey buck, thank you for commenting. Unfortunately i cant really comment on your experience as i wasnt there. If you have a video i would be happy to take a look. :)
@@WorldofMrGrey I don't have video of that session I have the audio recording with the reply I told you about. The reply sounded like it came from a very young little girl which kind of bothered us. When I did the research I guess spirits or whatever we want to call them that maybe aren't so good will mimic a child. And after that experience there were a lot of I don't know what I'd call it, problems in the house. We had doors that would slam shut in the middle of the night loud bangs on the wall and the oven door even opened and slammed shut one night while we were watching TV, So I have actually stepped away from it but I have no problem sending the audio of that day it is the clearest EVP I have ever heard like I said.
Then how do you explain a dog owner finding two dog sized joint systems one on his shoulder where he used to carry his dog and the other on the floor in a scratching position?
MichaelDMagee and Really Haunted have some amazing footage (in my opinion). Ofcourse you are free to start dismissing an entire piece of tech because of a certain error rate caused by glitches. But wouldn't you agree that keeping an open mind for new things and trying to learn from them by experimenting with them in this case, wouldn't hurt at all? How about together we figure out what the error rate is and what type of situations could potentially show real paranormal entities like we have never been able to see before? This new tech has a huge potential, but it needs to be refined and figured fully out first. Don't you agree?
hey maximillian, appreciate the comment. I do have an open mind, but i also throw in a lot of rationale in too. first of Michael d mcgee and really haunted have been debunked many times as using masks and strings off camera. They have been spotted by myself and others, you only need to look online and do some searches for them. The kinect, as good as the tech is is flawed. Its designed to find solid 3D objects in humanoid form and make the rest up of what it thinks is a humanoid form. So for example, if it find a pattern in the wall, or back of a room its looking at, if it can see a shoulder pattern, or hips or any of the flexors it will then make up the rest to what it thinks is a humanoid figure. This is why when investigators use this, it is never a stable solid figure, its always thrashing about on the screen. Thats the software trying to make sense of a random pattern in the background. I agree with you that people using them need to understand the tech alot more. Appreciate the comment man :)
@@WorldofMrGrey So would you say that the kinect is best used as a sort of guide? At least when other possible factors or assumptions can be eliminated? Btw, ive seen that stick figure spaz out even with regular people and with the kinect camera sitting still. Would you say that's more of a confirmation on how finicky the tech is? Does the spazzing of the stick figure necessarily point to improper use? i'm just trying to gauge how strictly we are speaking when it comes to spotting the stick figures while using the kinect on a mobile platform. As opposed to having it on a stable platform like a table. Plus, I'd like to know how to optimally strike off assumptions of potential tech faultiness. My goal is to spread that word. You're the first person I've seen on youtube casting doubt on the kinect. Specifically, currently have the tfil overnight channel as my go to. They frequent this device and i'd like to get that word to them.
I agree completely! Also when you watch the channel Really Haunted he isn’t moving his camera around. It’s usually just aiming towards his living room or wherever he puts it just like you would if you had it hooked up to the gaming system. So he’s doing it pretty much how you’re saying it’s designed for. This is only my opinion, and it’s always good to look at every view point and to try and debunk things before you claim it to be paranormal. I think most of them seem to be pretty legit.
I watch Lee from Really Haunted too and I thought some of his footage was pretty awesome, what I struggle with however (Having had 30+ years of Paranormal research under my belt) that it's very odd for a house to have this much activity on a daily bases. I've lived in a few haunted houses in my day that were very active, but we still didn't experience it this much. Our last home was pretty crowded with spirits as we lived on land where a feirce Civil War battle took place and hundreds of men died there so we'd wake up sometimes hearing canons blasting just a few miles away. We saw soldiers walk through our yard one night, it was very compelling evidence but it still didn't happen at this rate and we lived there for 12 years. Now I'm not accusing him of faking anything, everyone has different experiences, I just find it odd is all. And also, I recently viewed one of his videos where he was home in bed when 2 figures popped in and started walking around... he was awake but heard them knock something down, when he got out of bed, the Kinect did not map his body at all. Not even a little bit as he moved about the room the spirits did too and they were mapped near perfectly. Now I just have to ask how he managed to not be detected and he's a physical being and yet 2 spiritual being were picked up just fine. As someone who has examined hundreds if not thousands of photos and video evidence I just found it strange. Maybe there's an explaination I haven't heard about yet.
@@Meriale46 I feel like you can’t judge how much activity a home should or shouldn’t be experiencing based on personal or otherwise experiences.. For example-a parent shouldn’t read a parenting book on milestones and then compare my child to other children their age based off that. Every situation is different from place to place.. every persons experiences are also different wouldn’t you think? I myself have had experiences while visiting the bunkers in Wa but was only able to hear it when I went back and played the videos and recordings. I haven’t had that event time I’ve gone.. And I’m certainly happy nothing has ever followed me home and tormented me to this extent. I also do feel like a lot of them are to blame when it starts to become more of an issue or problem just by acknowledging it, giving in to fear (Which is understandable) and even with using the ouija board cuz a lot of people believe we open portals or allow these things to cross over or come.. yet in my own belief system I think they have always been here and can come in and out as they please. I’ve yet to see anything that shows a person telling it not to bother them or touch them or follow them home or whatever and have seen it solve the problem. Depending on your faith some belief that earth is the devils domain. Who knows? Not a single person will know these things until they are dead and moved on.. With how great our technology is becoming the vail is getting thinner and thinner between their world and ours. Like I’ve stated.. ONLY my opinion on the subject. I don’t believe everyone who says they are haunted and lost a video. Ghost hunting and ghost hauntings are a popular thing at the moment and everyone wants to be FB/TikTok abs TH-cam famous now a days that they are willing to edit and create content just to achieve that. I do like watching it! 👻🏚😱😳😈😇☠️⚰️🪦💀⚱️
Theres alot of SLS footage round. how do you explain the stick figure doing things on command like waving a requested arm reaching and touching someone after being asked to. showing up on request ..i dont agree with you there are alot of objects it will map but when the figure reacts to commands or questions ........try weldonparanormal they have some great footage.
@@WorldofMrGrey Thank you for reply if you put ghost kenect in the youtube search theres a few videos to watch the donnie drunkard one i enjoy the figure is down the dark hall then it appears right up close lol the dude freaked out ..
I have used both the 360 Kinect and the ver 2 Kinect, the latter is far superior with almost 0 glitch. As said by rickhenry 1883 , you ask the object to perform an action that demonstrates intelligence, I ask it to high five me, I had one stay standing on far side of room and it’s arm stretched all the way to my held up hand. These people using cell phone apps is waste of time, unless ur phone can shoot out laser mapping and such’. App for phone is fake news
I found a video where this guy sees ghosts and have a lot of moving objects {poltergeist activity} and he has this kinect camera where this figure touches an object and the object actualy falls in front of him.
How do you explain the figures moving on command? How would you explain full body apparitions ? How would explain sudden temperature drops of over 10⁰c ? How do you explain class A Evps ? You seem to be debunking alot of paranormal stuff in general 🤔 I'm very intrigued as to if you've actually experienced any paranormal activity yourself or even studied the field? I'd would like to hear your opinions and ideas on what you would suggest for a show to be different from the rest . Would definitely love your input. Would u be interested in taking part in an investigation. Always good to have a different opinion on site . Would really appreciate your input as I'm currently putting a show together.
Stop it lol. How would you explain this. You see a stick figure napped out on the sls, you ask it to lift its left arm then it lifts its left arm, you ask it to wave and it waves at you, say you ask it to stand on one leg and it intelligently acts out your request. How would you explain that bud? Is it just coincidently doing exactly what you ask it to do while " struggling to map out"?. If it's never worked for you just say that next time bro.
I dont think you mentioned it, at least I cant rmemeber it, but i that first clip you showed, the camera draws a figure on some weird shape, but not on the actual human in the center of the shot
ive used the sls app on phones it picks up shapes then tries to make it in to a stick shape its so rubbish you can see it map out shapes from objects around it totally agree with you
OMG YES! Using Kinect for "paranormal activity" is so ridiculous. It's suppose to be stationary, not moved around the way they do on these "investigations", and it's constantly trying to detect movement. If the kinect is the thing that's moving and not level, it'll find a person in pretty much anything.
The only thing worse is "Spirit Boxes." I like ghost and ghost hunting videos as much as the next guy, but some of their equipment and subsequent "results" are just laughable.
Yeah so when you ask the figure to stand on its left leg while touching its nose I suppose it's ridiculous that a ghost could respond to your requests doing exactly what you ask it to do intelligently.
i cant seem to find anything on youtube or google debunking lee"s footage from really haunted channel, could you please elaborate his kinect is always stationary and how he fakes the black orbs ect thanks in advance, and i will of course go back and rewatch looking for the wires and masks you mention he might be using
Not trying to argue but bring some constructive criticism so that we might all come to a conclusion, but if the tech is good at finding the shapes why would it confuse anything at all for a human if it knows what a humans outline is? I had an experience with my Kinect that made me turn it off forever I was really sick watching Netflix and I was under the covers and the Kinect was pausing and playing my video over and over and there’s no way it could’ve mistaken my hands cause I was all bundled up? And insight on that?
There are a couple of videos here on yt you can't explain with you superficial explanation. And what's about EVP in your opinion? I am recording EVP since 2003, this i didn't try yet but i will do to see if there is something true.
people who believe they just die and nothing happens after are lost humans have a spirit it's what makes us who we are its what makes people different when someone dies there body is no longer able to be controlled so your spirit is released. a spirit is who a person is deep down the real version of themselfs
Watch the SLS videos on the channel ReallyHaunted's channel. Camera doesn't move, Lots of activity, Interaction with physical objects. Truly remarkable.
what do you make of really haunteds videos with a fixed camera and no movement of it at all ? they seem pretty authentic to me but i am always skeptical ,
Hi, Just a quick question , your thoughts on Ed & Lorraine Warren, would be interested on your opinion on there paranormal experiences. Though out there Lives. Cheers.
I love a good discussion on a difficult topic. I hate blanket definitive statements about a thing that is absolutely not definitive. Unfounded Skepticism is just as dangerous as unfounded belief.
Is this the same way the apps work? On a few events people would use the phone app versions of sls and I know one would almost photo whoever was closets to you and project it a bit later somewhere else in the field.
I've seen videos of a guy 'talking' to spirits that responded in context to his conversations. In one video, he asked a ghost to touch his hand and it does. In another video by someone different, the spirit is asked to touch one of the REM Pods and in the SLS camera... it does. Is there an A.I. built into SLS that would create such a strong contextual response? And how the heck did they get the REM to line up with the SLS independently? For fun, I downloaded an SLS for the phone, and when I pointed to my friend's dog there something crawling on the floor sort of petting the her. Later, when the dog wasn't there, the spirit was now sitting in a chair that was behind a table... but had boxes piled on it. So HOW... did this thing recognize a dog... and a blocked chair? At the moment, I don't believe or disbelieve until I know. But IF there is an A.I. built into it, can it be this good? Any thoughts?
Dude, but how do you explain it when I turn on the kinect cam and I don't move with it and I haven't been in the picture how do you explain that a stick figure comes into the picture? Hoop I get a reaction back. Greeds Arjan
hey arjan, thanks for the comment. As i havent seen your video, I would love to take a look at some of your footage if you have a link of sorts? Hope thats ok :)
Question for the Creator. I intend to use it on a tripod recording while we investigate and ask questions. My question is are you against the Kinect being used this way but without scanning or moving the camera around? Maybe placing it in the corner just to record while we ask questions and such?
I have some really really really good capture with mine still mounted on my tv stand broad daylight and the figure interacts with me from acting like he is playing guitar to reaching and holding my hand and one touching a led Christmas light or more power and the best part on a few of them is while I am interacting with the spirit I ask questions on the sb7 and get direct answers all recorded . I am constantly surround by spirits and considered a medium and I have times when I am recording me playing guitar on webcam and capture voices in my recordings and also even on my cell phone getting direct answers on video with orbs interacting with me !
what if its used in a fixed room locked off and recorded with a cam on a tripod. Theres also sls apps on iphones which I assume use the same recognition as snapchat and I guess there useless as well for moving about?
As far as fixed positions? The software still states it needs certain criteria to work. For instance, plenty of room, but not to far back. No obstacles in its place. Its a very fallible piece of software. As for the apps on phones? i havent really looked into them myself so cant comment.
@@WorldofMrGrey I got my hands on one todo some tests and found that the tech maps out physical objects / people. I did a test by filling a room full of smoke thinking it would map random things but it did not seem to notice smoke at all. This leads me to think that not only are the false positives you mention in this are a thing but it has to be actually there and seen. If a "ghost" were to come across it in theory it should not know about this as it won't be enough to break the IR lasers and in turn cause it to map anything . I don't know why to this day ghost adventures still use them, and sware by them when theres so many factors in play that debunk them
So is it intelligent then.because ive bought an sls spirit shack set up.we mapped something on a plain surface exactly where we got a spirit boy on photo the year before.i asked it to raise its arm it did this on comand.so how do you explain that then.this happens without sls too ask to move things it does it.
what if we have the SLS in a static spot we have used SLS and had the target react to our request. I agree they are not meant to move but I d not agree that they should not be used.
So, my immediate thought was a stationary camera would be different. I'm seeing lots of folks saying the same thing in the comments. Obviously it shouldn't be used while moving, but if you've controlled for issues that would cause it trouble, then the results should be looked at and not "immediately dismissed."
What if its stationery and full formed figures pop up in the middle of a room after aome time of filming hut there's nothing there for it to map? Can that be faked in any way?
Since he did not replied it sounds like this is the correct way to film. But nowadays anything can be faked. Like movie paranormal activity looks more like a documentary than a movie.
Hi. If you do not like the sls setup or how the camera works. Is there something out there that is somerhing you like. I use the POVs and a few others that sre designed for videos or pics. And all of them came from Ghostsr Stop Thanks for your time Bill Will
What I want to know is when Lee isin bed and his wife and dog are there. How come the Kinect only picks Lee's body up and not his wife's or his dog's body? I'm not saying it's fake I just would like an explanation why only his body is being detected?
It relies on reflection, more pigmentation in the skin prevents a higher reflection. So yes, if you have a lot of melanin in your skin it won't work well with you. Only an idiot would make this a race issue
I can't help but laugh when people use the Kinect to find ghosts. The technology is at best a shoddy gaming peripheral, but it's great at detecting dancing ghosts? Hilarious.
the stick figures consistently jitter around as the software attempts to find the new location of joints initially detected from generic sensor noise. just like every other ghost hunting gadget in existence, it's prone to false-positives for a variety of reasons
Gentilissimo!
I totally agree with you and how the sls works. However, like in Ghost Adventures, there is intelligent communication sometimes. They will tell the stick figure to do something and it does it. So, maybe the only way to know if the sls works is to talk, and see if it responds.
Finally someone pointing out the truth with the latest must have toy for ghost hunters. The SLS camera is working with the exact data you see on the screen. If you don't see the shape of a person mapped out on the screen, then there's not anything there, and the camera struggling to try to fit a stick figure over a piece of furniture or a wall while ignoring actual people in the shot should tell you all you need to know. Next up, the "half on/off maglite" and ghost boxes, and why they're also trash. If you want to find evidence of the paranormal, go to a haunted location with a video camera, an audio recorder, and if you really must have something that makes a beep, an EMF meter. All the other stuff is just toys, and produces nothing that could be called actual "evidence".
Thank goodness you're pointing this out. I'm a paranormal investigator that refuses to use this. I always believed that it was mapping an object nothing more. Thanks so much for putting this out and explaining what's really going on.
I saw one ghost video using this technique and it had caught the stick figure dancing to some music that was playing. The stick figure was spot on and so was its dancing. How did they do that?
Who would ever think actually researching a little into how something works before saying there’s ghosts doing yoga poses every where around us.....crazy 😂😂😂
Yep I thought they are crap from the start, same as thoes apps they use now some of the top channels make all about these devices ,it turns me of them I definitely wouldn't wast my money on that crap 😉😉👍👍
Basically it chooses some dot of the skeletton and puts it on a spot, the rest of the figure is rigged to that and it just tries to find more spots to stick them to.
You only "explained" that the people using this cameras move them around. I had never seen that, they are always fixed and some videos are hard to debunk. In a recent nuke's top 5 one was included where the figure moves over around the person sleeping in the bed and drops a lamp or something
Just to be clear though, it’s 3D lasers but also finds 2D patterns? So If it’s looking at a wall and theres a pattern of a person drawn on it. It will find that and show a stick figure? But if it uses 3D laser tech to find a body and shape pattern, how does that work? Not saying I believe in this tech anyway but just trying to fully understand it.
No you're right, it does only find 3D depth with laser scanning. But the fact that it finds patterns in walls also just goes to show how fallable the technology is. When it's moving its failing to find depth quick enough, so will then just find randomness in nothing instead. Laser also reflect, so it might be latching on to something opposite the wall and shaping a figure from there. The thing is though, if it is latching onto a "ghost" figure, what is it scanning in 3D if there's nothing corporial to scan? That's what I would be asking anyway :)
Have you heard of the Iraquois camera/technology? I watched a documentary style ghost hunting show from from these guys that investigate Saginaw, MI (their name escapes me atm, but the head researcher is some rapper named Prozac?) The images the camera picked up were very creepy, but I couldn't find much info on that technology anywhere, so I'm really skeptical. A few of the ghost hunters originals are in his movies as well (Brian and Steve.)
Prozacs investigations are some of the best that I seen, they operate under the name SEEKERS and there's some stuff under haunted Saginaw I want to say, but his real name is Steve Shippy that's the easiest way to find his work
Thanks WorldofMrGrey. Who ever researched that an entity can cause laser to bounce back anyway? Like the gentleman said, it is designed to be fixed (like on a tripod) and face humans to detect the joint movements to provide digital feedback to a program for videos games. Bill Chapel started all this misinformation.
Sir , I bought and lived in a long used retirement home, I used to watch ambulances go up there weekly when I was young. Grandparents bought it and it was a once a year Christmas visiting home. It sat empty for 7 years after that. Long story short, you may not believe and that's your right and your right about the tools being bunk but have you ever heard your name or voices when no one is around. I owned and lived in it 25 years and haven't felt like I did in that house since.. 99.9% probably could be debunked like Trumps mouth but me myself I hope your wrong and nether one of us will ever really know. Respectfully Robert H. ps keep it up, there are always places where people are wrong. I know I have been as much as the other guy.
At 9:02 of “ I can’t believe all the ghosts in my haunted house “ the ghost sits down and bounces on the couch due to weight . How is this possible . Hmmmmm only one answer .
Of course you will say this technology and that, because the reason may be because you do not believe in things like ghosts. I appreciate your thoughts, but if you say that kind of thing does not exist or is just a hallucination, I will not accept because of the fact that many people, even myself have experienced such an experience. but in the case of kinect, is it impossible if a humanoid object formed from some kind of temperature is not detected ?
That's not true I did my entire house and didn't find anything but went to the cemetery with no one there at night and found all kinds of stuff standing still not moving around
Many thanks for the in-depth explanation on the SLS\Kinect Camera. A few weeks prior to your initial video was released, a friend who is very much in the know about these cameras explained it to me. You were able to back him up 100%. I'm pretty sure the fake channels know exactly what is happening, it just adds to their arsenal of magic tricks ! Cheers Dan 👍🐨
Hey wait. You shouldn't dismiss it all the way becausesometimes if you just sit and watch a few minutes when the person speaks to the ghost and asks it to step out of that position you will see it attempt to move out of that position and it will come walking closet to the person then stand a minute then walk on by then dissappear then it may come back in the room. I seen a video like this. If I find that video I will post it here if I can so u can see what I'm talking about. So please don't dismiss it all the way.
Please watch the channel really haunted. He uses a fixed position sls camera always. I do understand that the sls will always try to find humanoid patterns in chairs, lamps etc.. but why does it sometimes find these humanoid shapes in blank walls ? And some even interact with other objects or even people by physical actions or even verbal commands ? I am on the fence regarding the sls ( especially in phones 🤔 ), but please watch the channel I have mentioned and please explain to me how his sls is done ? Especially interactions with entities... ? That are present.
Hi Tina, thank you for your comment. Since making this video I have covered really haunted SLS videos many times and shown how he's doing it. They are my more recent videos
I love how this guy says don't use it but then struggles to understand how it works. They don't tell you not to use it unless it's still. They say fir more accurate results, keep the camera still. It doesn't just pick up a human form. It gets my dogs all the time. Yes the developers have said you will get alot of false pickups. I can tell you from experience. I have picked up figures that you can't pass off as a pattern. Like all ghost hunting. 95% can be explained or disregarded. But 5% can't be. Don't tell people not to use when you have demonstrated here that you barely understand how it works.
Thank you for doing this video. I so hate when investigators that use the Kinect and phone apps. To add to it, how would a ghost be solid enough to make the lasers bounce back to the kinect?
It doesnt just scan for “humanoid” form. You can point it at a dog and you will get a different stick figure resembling a dog.
I used one at a cemetery and a stick figure appeared on a headstone. It didn't map out on any other headstone and I was holding still. No one was standing g near it. So why wouldn't it map out a stick figure anywhere else?
Don't worry it's real
Cause you touch yourself
Because there's no spirit. You can use an emf meter where the stick figure is to make sure its real if you have one. I do it anytime my camera catches one. Like a verification cause sometimes it does break
Oui, c'est exact, il te suffit de démarrer le logiciel tout en restant immobile dans la pièce où tu remarques une activité quelconque.
Ah bah tu es sûr que le résultat sera réel ^^
How to do that?@@ipostrandomcrap3965
-No offense intended-
I’m curious as to the length of depth (how far away) and the height and width the connect was designed for.
That would freak me out lol
They'll tell you that's just a coincidence lol. Even if you ask the figure to stand on one leg and touch his nose and it dust just that .
yes i use a sls and have had same thing happen!! i love my sls!!
So you use and really believe in these? I am wanting one but worried after this video
@@thedrumman2019 Apps will give a lot of false positives. I agree with your statement 100%.
Bruh I literally just watched that a few minutes ago, the channel is called "really haunted" and checked the description on what camera he uses then searched it
Really Haunted has the camera still. I knowing this would make a tripod if ghost hunting to keep the camera still.
Yes i watched his channel and somethings that happen are prob unexplained with one video in his bedroom while he was sleeping with Kinect and a stick figure was pulling over his dresser at the same time on video , the kinect was locked off.
Why would "really haunted" need click bait titles to the video if they are real?
@@jeffnelson1186 you know I was wondering the same exact thing . The damn titles are all the same .
The limbs teleport from one position to another too and sometimes rapidly switching back and forth which produces false animated movement (the erratic jittery dancing effect) .That should give people a clue that it's an imperfect analysis algorithm constantly adjusting to the data and not a ghost detector.
Or it could be caused by a ghost of someone who fell into a wood chopper maybe...

No, no one in this comment section is allowed to have any other kind of opinion. I agree 100% with you, though.
@dennieguppy, how about if you're outside with it mounted on something like a tripod or some other non-moving base, can it be reliable in that context? This would be in the absence of artificial light.
1:40 it's funny asf when the guy says I FEEL MY BACK GETTING COLD....AYY BUTTHEAD GHOST HUNTER U HAVE A FAN POINTED DIRECTLY AT UR BACK😂😂😂😂😂
😂 ikr real genius there
Those cameras are amazing. I tested them a bit before release, and they were always finding skeleton structures in random things.
😁
OK when me and my sister first turned it on we both jumped back and screamed because there was a little girl literally in black before eyes but the weird part was my sister saw it coming towards her and I saw it leaving. How is that possible? We shut it off and never used it again. Little bit of a history, my home my land has so many levels of paranormal, but no one would believe it
I believe in paranormal but this comment a lil sus
You used a kinect and instead of a stick figure you daw a girl dressed in black? Then you should see it with your own eyes too. Its just a camera, it does not have a magical vision, if it can see it you can too.
im back again. your videos are super enjoyable!! btw excuse my english
Thank you, and your english is fine :)
I read it. Your english is peachy dahh'ling. 😆!
It was what I used to find the most exciting in Ghosts adventures (even if it's true that ghosts seemed to be a bit drunk!)
But wait i saw a couple vids with kinect in a static pose but still make shapes soo what about that then (sceptical myself but then what about it)
I'd have to see the video to make a judgement but it can absolutely happen on static kinects also. As good as the tech is, its not perfect.

What about the videos where they keep the camera totally still, but you can see figures clearly moving?
Stop it lol. How would you explain this. You see a stick figure napped out on the sls, you ask it to lift its left arm then it lifts its left arm, you ask it to wave and it waves at you, say you ask it to stand on one leg and it intelligently acts out your request. How would you explain that bud? Is it just coincidently doing exactly what you ask it to do while " struggling to map out"?. If it's never worked for you just say that next time bro.
Literally overlap one footage over the other…
Bru just ask it to play games with you XD
Ghost is immaterial phenomenon, at the otherhand cameras, 3d scanner etc is basically for identifying material things
Maybe ask it to spar with you...
Or… or maybe, wait guys. Just had a crazzzzy idea! What if… ghosts don’t exist? wow.
I dont think you mentioned it, at least I cant rmemeber it,
but i that first clip you showed, the camera draws a figure on some weird shape,
but not on the actual human in the center of the shot
ive used the sls app on phones it picks up shapes then tries to make it in to a stick shape its so rubbish you can see it map out shapes from objects around it totally agree with you
Not ridiculous if its in a fixed position and therefore not ridiculous to use one for paranormal activity. lol
Please do a video someday of ghost/paranormal videos that you can't debunk

I don't want to call anyone liar, but it's funny how impressed people get by something so easily fakeable
people who believe they just die and nothing happens after are lost humans have a spirit it's what makes us who we are its what makes people different when someone dies there body is no longer able to be controlled so your spirit is released. a spirit is who a person is deep down the real version of themselfs

Helo you seem like a profesional can i use iPhone trueDepth or lidar like kinect these sensors are projecting ir light dots
should you just use it as a stationary angle?
Question for the Creator. I intend to use it on a tripod recording while we investigate and ask questions. My question is are you against the Kinect being used this way but without scanning or moving the camera around? Maybe placing it in the corner just to record while we ask questions and such?
I was thinking the same thing. I write paranormal stories, but we want to see if we can actually find them.
I have answered this best i can in my latest video which will be up soon. :)
And all of them came from Ghostsr Stop
Thanks for your time
Bill Will
What I want to know is when Lee isin bed and his wife and dog are there. How come the Kinect only picks Lee's body up and not his wife's or his dog's body?
I'm not saying it's fake I just would like an explanation why only his body is being detected?
An excellent and on point observation right there.
what about "really haunted"'s sls camera footage?
As always, thanks for the video. Looking forward to the next one. Stay safe. :)
Short answer: Cause it's bollocks.
What do you expect from a camera that has difficulties recognizing black people?
It relies on reflection, more pigmentation in the skin prevents a higher reflection. So yes, if you have a lot of melanin in your skin it won't work well with you. Only an idiot would make this a race issue
So all the ones we see on GA, is not real? Or am I wrong and just not understanding?
I can't really comment on that, all I'm saying is the technology it uses is very unstable when moved :)
Not real.
I can't help but laugh when people use the Kinect to find ghosts. The technology is at best a shoddy gaming peripheral, but it's great at detecting dancing ghosts? Hilarious.
What about when ghost hunters using the Kinect or SLS ask the ghost to wave and they do??
the stick figures consistently jitter around as the software attempts to find the new location of joints initially detected from generic sensor noise. just like every other ghost hunting gadget in existence, it's prone to false-positives for a variety of reasons
Gentilissimo!
I totally agree with you and how the sls works. However, like in Ghost Adventures, there is intelligent communication sometimes. They will tell the stick figure to do something and it does it. So, maybe the only way to know if the sls works is to talk, and see if it responds.
This friendly couple gave us a hypothesis, but it didn't come close to disproving the Kinect ghost reports.
Also, iPhones don't have a tiny little RADAR dish inside that spins around and finds ghosts.
The only thing you should use the kinect for is the ten pin bowling on kinect sports
But again.. when it is stationery and nobody in front of it that automatically maps out a figure?.
Could you point me to the video so i can see it for myself?
I'm sure the sls has a voice recognition built it
Are u sure it was just showing a ghost stick form or little more then what u bargain form
@@Jerry-me1fy where did specefi on phones 🤔🤔 😁😆
Basically it chooses some dot of the skeletton and puts it on a spot, the rest of the figure is rigged to that and it just tries to find more spots to stick them to.
I tried it once but it was picking up weird things and no spirit was around,
It was just a rail of coats it picked up on hanging coats
You only "explained" that the people using this cameras move them around. I had never seen that, they are always fixed and some videos are hard to debunk. In a recent nuke's top 5 one was included where the figure moves over around the person sleeping in the bed and drops a lamp or something
Hey jose, thanks for the comment, i made this over a year ago, i have since gone deeper in more recent videos :)
The next time you see a ghost video just think what would mr. grey do 👍👍👍
Congratulations on 5k subscribers
Thank you nate, very appreciated. :)
Sir , I bought and lived in a long used retirement home,
I used to watch ambulances go up there weekly when I was young.
Finally, THANK YOU.
I just learned the kinect has a night vision option, like a real night vision!
Great Video and Great Explanation !!!!!
There's a channel called "really haunted" where you can see the "kinect silhouettes" walking and interacting with the objects. It looks pretty good.
But would a spirit even be in the shape of a living person with a body? I honestly don't know!
Thank you for doing this video. I so hate when investigators that use the Kinect and phone apps. To add to it, how would a ghost be solid enough to make the lasers bounce back to the kinect?
Exactly, the laser needs physical things to latch onto lol
