I tried to translate this with Google, but I didn't have much success. I don't speak German. Are any of these whistle headpieces available for purchase, or easily modified to work with a standard transverse flute?
I gather that he makes joints for standard Alto recorder heads. With careful measuring, it's probably doable without too many tools. I'd probably get a cheap flute, and hack the standard mouthpiece off, then experiment with cutting it down until it played properly. Or buy a cheap flute mouthpiece and experiment with that. It's encouraging to see how well his mouthpieces work.
I have a drawerful of recorders, and a flute. Time to get experimenting. I want to do this without making any irreversible mods to the flute. The recorders don't matter too much. It's good he manages to preserve the original tone of the flute though.
You are right my friend stephen, but I took a YAMAHA recorder mouthpiece and pimped it a little and combined it with a boehmflutebody. To do so needs no market, you can make it easily by your self. The market provides some nice other mouthpieces - including my own new prototypes, like the new LEXA LIVE mpc.
Interesting as always Martin. Thanks.
What's the name of this Yamaha instrument? Where u bought it?
Wunderbar. Gefällt mir sehr gut.
The Yamaha sounds great!!!

Good sound! - where do you get the tubes which fits into the flutes from?
The most important, is to let us know how to build this yamaha recorder to the head join.
