Following these steps WILL remove all data from the disk and may wipe the disk. Remember to always backup any files be for preceding.

Thank you so much man, so many garbage content creators on here with flashy stuff not really helping anyone at all and here I find one by a guy who knows what he is doing. This saved my bootable flash drive so I could install linux OS on my chromebook.

I tried alot and didn't work, Under the "Fs" column My Pendrive is labeled "RAW" and "Status" is "Healthy".When I clean or format the drive CMD gives a Response like:
"DiskPart has encountered an error: A device which does not exist was specified.
See the System Event Log for more information."
I tried the whole method but it didn't work for me... it encountered an error

What if I am trying to delete what is on the laptop? What seems to be locked. Or even the operating system because couldn't I just reinstall a new operating system?

this did not work for me, when I write the clean command it just tells me that an error happened and there is a problem in the i/o device...
Virtual Disk Service error:
Clean is not allowed on the disk containing the current boot,
system, pagefile, crashdump or hibernation volume.

This link may help www.easeus.com/resource/io-device-error.html also try using the rear i/o instead of the front if that is the case. see if your drive has a physical read/write lock on it self.

my sandisk cruzer glide 16GB suddenly "write protected" cannot format and checkdisk. only can read,not write anymore ,so bad sandisk quality!!!

i got to the last step and when labeling the next screen appears is

@@kareemosama785 It's been a year since that I've abandoned the usb drive and used new ones, I recommend you throw that usb drive in the trash and buy a new one if you got important data on it I cant help.
