This video was made as part of a larger collaboration between a variety TH-cam Critters. This is our #CritterValentinesProject! We have been working on this since December 2019, after a #critter on twitter suggested a Hugs Compilation and we ran with it! I thought it would be fun to make a follow-up video to "Personal Space with Liam and Marisha" but focus on the gentler moments - less pop pop more hugs :)
It has been so much fun getting to know and work with the amazing TH-cam Critter Community. Everyone is so passionate about the show and about sharing why we love this wonderful show. @@XCrawlFan Who said it was "slap" and "slap" but no "kiss"? There is a lot of affection between Liam and Marisha, even if Marisha does gets a little free with the hands (as seen earlier).

Not only Marisha. He is usually very touchy-feely with anyone close to him. There were episodes where he couldn't stop hugging Laura in C1.
And don't get me started with him slapping Travis over Marisha's arms.
I remember laughing at that comment back when I was watching it live because - well, pot meet kettle? :)

I really do love how physically affectionate the Critical Role cast are. Like Matt laying on Taliesin and for neither to have an issue with it in that one Talks Machina episode. I really hope I get to be on that level of closeness with someone one day.
This reminds me of when I was a kid and would hug my friends all the time. Before everyone thought guys hugging was weird.
Something wild about this group of people is that they are ALL such close friends you could tell me any random two of them were a couple and I'd believe it lol

And.... THAT my friends, is the real reason why the show works as well as it does. It's the ensembles genuine love for each other that allows them to go deep into character and be totally vulnerable on a weekly basis.
Seriously if someone told me Liam and Laura were actually twins or siblings I’d belive them. They seem like they are all like childhood friends that grew up together for decades. And Tal was the elder god that watched over them.
@@NilCaelum if anything Talisin is their Grimm but he lost on purpose and they all have wholesome adventures instead of horrifying ones every week!

I’m reminded of the fact that C1 started as a gift to Liam.... one that’s just kept on giving for years and years.
Absolutly, it helps, that they are voicactors and Matt does put a lot of effort into it, but those relationships are the real drug
With how cuddly they are with each other IRL, that scene parallel of Beau & Caleb learning to hug each other with encouragement from Fjord & Yasha is hilarious.
The juxtaposition of Beau and Caleb's relationship and Marisha and Liam's is so stark and I love it so much lmfao
I especially enjoy this because watching critical role back in early campaign 1. No spoilers but marisha and tal sat next to eachother and similar stuff occured. unfortunately in earlier days chat was more impacted by toxic behavior always reacting to anytime they even touched eachother so i really appreciate this presenting they are just very comfortable friends and that physical contact doesn't have to be sexual. not trying to gaslight any arguments just appreciating how far the interactions have showcased this heartwarming community and messages they bring. thanks to this wonderful community and your big friendly hearts
@@richardredmon9016 I admit I too was taken aback by it but after watching Between the Sheets and also learning more about Talisen as a person, including his hippie upbringing, him officiating Matt and Mrisha's wedding, and just how far back their friendships go, it all just makes sense. Life just has a way of... similarly to what Talisen said, Goth kids happen for a reason. CR is a special corner of the internet.

@@richardredmon9016 I absolut love the level of physical comfort they share with eachother. I am like tat with close friends, I wish I could do that with more people without it getting missunderstood and I absolutly hate that there are people who have to ruin it for others by making everything about sex and slutshame people for hugging . . .
As much as Liam has complained about Marisha’s lack of personal space, it nice to see he reaches out just as much as she does ☺️

If you watch the show you’ll see that Liam reaches out to her just as much as she does, if not a little more. A lot of the time when he’s laughing he’ll put his hand on her arm or back. When i first started watching the show I thought it was kinda weird but then realized that it was just a normal thing for them
Marishas are more dangerous while lisms are cuddly xD
The pairs of the cast sitting next to each other are all so good
Travis + Marisha: Marisha is basically Travis' hypewoman
Marisha + Liam: Marisha accidentally wacks Liam repeatedly while they both laugh into each other
Sam + Laura: Basically the two kids at the back of class who won't stop fucking around
Laura + Taliesin: They basically hide each other from Sam's sins
Taliesin + Ashley: Hugging and silent hype
This is a wonderful explanation for their friendships thank you for this
Also Liam and Sam are on the corner. They have wonderful bestfriend moments all the time
If anything, Travis is more the prompt for Marisha's moments of character growth.
Then we have,
Matt + Travis + Liam = A separate wavelength that doesn't require words
Matt + Taliesin + Marisha = Soulmates
Matt + Laura = The fun loving big sister and the reserved little brother
Matt + Marisha = I think they might like each other
Matt + Sam = Jigsaw puzzle pieces that fit when they shouldn't
Sam + Travis = "I'll fucking kill you." "Not before I kill you first." Then together, "Nah, I love you too much for that."
Sam + Taliesin = The exasperated friend at the dinner table hiding in shame from the other one who is doing a gag with two cherry tomatoes in his nostril.
Laura + Travis = I think they have a crush on each other.
Liam + Laura = (I mean, come on. Do I need to say anything?)
Matt + Ashley = I like sitting with you in silence.
Travis + Taliesin = "Would you bless my newborn, o ancient one?" "Are you fucking kidding me? You're my successor."
Liam + Taliesin = To each other, "Kids, am I right?"
Sam + Ashley = Two popular kids in school who are close friends making them friendhip goals for other students.
Ashley + Travis = I'm willing to bet that they are siblings and are just hiding the fact.
Liam + Sam = I mean, both of their names have parts of that of the other. Need I say more.
Matt + Travis + Liam + Marisha + Ashley + Taliesin + Laura + Sam = Thank you.

Funny enough, I am both ends of that spectrum, I am extreamly touch avoidant with 99% of all people I meet, up to going catatonic and hysterical . . . . but also are extreamly cuddely with my close friends I would love to sleep in a blanked ford with all of them, every night, forever

I could be reading into it too much, but it seems like sometimes even when Marisha isn't entirely sure how to feel in a given situation, she's all smiles as soon as she gets a hug or an arm around the shoulder. It's super cute and very sweet.

This is great, I'd love a similar compilation from campaign 1 with Marisha and Taliesin, they used to cuddle all the time and I imagine she whacked him on occasion too, though he might be better at dodging than Liam.

Watching Marisha and Liam is so heartwarming to me because it reminds me of my best friend and I, who are an incredibly intimate, platonic relationship between a man and a woman. I mean, I identify as genderfluid with a 60/40 split, so 40% of the time it's just an all girl friendship, but still. It's always nice to see other people sharing that same kind of love and connection you feel no one else quite understands.

Both sides. When I first started watching C1 I couldn't figure out if she was dating Sam or Taliesin. My son is the one who figured out it was actually Matt. I had to Google it too verify he was right. Lol

I'm still in campaign one but Marisha seems to bring this out in people. Watching her interact with the people she sits next to is always a joy. She and Taliesin interacting has been one of the best parts of watching the first campaign.
The entire cast’s friendship to each other is a blessing.
