I was driving from Mobile to Ft. Leonard Wood, this song came on and my children and I were singing this. I got so caught up in the song that I forgot about my speed. When the song went off police lights came on and I pulled over. The police officer came up to the window, asked me for the usual paper work. I gave it to him and he asked me why I was driving 75 in a 55? I said that me and the kids just got caught up in a song and I was not paying attention to my speed. He asked me "What song" I told him "Roll That Stone Away." He said by "Acappella Vocal Band?" I said "Yes." He said that his speed gets away from him when he listens to that song too! He gave me my paper work back, told me to slow down and to have a blessed day. GOD Is So Good!
LOVE this!! Where is acapella music anymore?? So much better than synthesizers and percussion that is so loud that you can't even hear the lyrics!! Miss you, AVB! This was one of my favorites!
This song, as well as many other songs from AVB/Acappella albums, are forever ingrained in my childhood brain. What a blessing. :-) Happy Easter 2020 y’all!
My firstborn son loved this song and would have me play it over and over. He quickly learned to sing it too. I still remember his sweet face when he sang it.
Saw them @ Gardendale Baptist Church many years ago, somewhere @ the low to mid 90's! It was when you could go for free, and they would take up a love offering. It was a good concert! About 1000 people...?
@ISingBass81 His name is Wes McKinzie and he just joined up with Acapella as their bass singer. Man, this brings back memories of the late 80s and early 90s for me. They still make me love singing. Amazing.
No, this is a group called AVB or Acappella Vocal Band. Both Groups were started by Keith Lancaster who also wrote most of the songs. He started a few other groups later, as well. All Acappella groups.
I married that sexy lead singer - the man of my dreams. Danny Elliott wrote this song and other popular songs on this channel. He no longer has a mullet. :)
tamimarler is there any possible way I can get a CD of AVB? I had the absolute honor of seeing them in Rockford Illinois either a 1991 or 1992. I had an CD of that but I can no longer find it I really want another one. Please let me know thanks a bunch Arvin from Alabama
@ClubHidekel Just for the record they are not Adventists!! These fellows are members of the Church of Christ! Quite a bit of a difference in doctrinal teaching between those two groups!!
