The 991.2 interior and gauges is so much better than the 992. You can not even see all of the gauges in the 992. Give me buttons and analog gauges over the ugly and spread out screens of the 992 any day. Get rid of the cylon bar on the rear of the 992 as well. 991s are better looking cars.
I also prefer the interior with buttons. I don't have a 911 but my 2016 cayenne interior is almost the same as this one and the only reason I am not changing to new cayenne is because I don't like the easy to scratch pianno black cental console with those touch screen like button. I prefer analogue dials with buttons that I can feel when I press and have a nice click.
I traded my 2018 GT3 for a 991.2 TTS with no regrets....more versatile car and faster around the track.......bulletproof build and 993 911 beautiful..........992 Turbo S is faster but rear and front design is too busy as they hit the bullseye with the 991.2 design for the TTS......in sport mode the exhaust sounds the best.....I drive in that mode all the time.......sports plus makes it GT3 like as far as unrestrained performance but faster......so this car is NOT boring......

Horses for courses. 991.2 GT3 is for driving. Turbo S isn’t a track car. It’s for fast mooching around. You can’t drive a track car if you prefer a TTS over a GT3. Just a fact man !

Normal mode and Sports plus don’t have PSE (Porsche Sports Exhaust) mode on. You need Sports mode for the gurgles and pops. Granted, the exhaust note is not the same as a naturally aspirated car, but anyone who would ever call a Turbo S ‘boring’ is smoking crack. This is supercar speed.

I love my 2018 turbo S. It has actually been confirmed as zero to 60 in 2.5 secs. If you haven't experienced it you just can't believe how quick it is. Runs to 100mph in 6 secs flat. The all wheel drive is what makes it happen. Boring. Ha. Great vid.
I have a 991.1 TTS convertible and I’ve had it for seven years. I love it. It has not caused me one problem. I’ve driven the hell out of it. Still beautiful still get looks still get compliments. 991 is prettier than the 992.
Nothing short of a supercar can hang with a Turbo S off the line using launch control. A Redeye Hellcat on the street will be distroyed by the Turbo S. BTW a 3.8l flat six twin Turbo you can hammer all day.
I have the opportunity to acquire a 2015 turbo. Other than 40hp, (520 compared to 560 in the turbo S), in your opinion, am I missing out on anything else?
The Turbo - depending on the options and year - can be a slightly better street car in the sense that you don't need all the top end power most of the time but the faster turbo spooling (from smaller turbos) means the power comes on lower in the RPM range. A 2015 however has the same sized turbos both for the T and the TS so a tune or a Burger JB4 harness tune will get you even more power than a stock Turbo S of that year without much fuss and without risk.
It's the best car I've ever driven. I don't think it's boring, I honestly think it's the looks. It's that perfect girl that's a 6 in the looks department. If it looked better but kept it's performance, it would be perfect

911’s capable but dull. I’ve owned 3 and my favourite was my 964 c2, later models too clinical. My last was 997.2 c2. I now have a California, much more emotional, my v8 sounds amazing . I think u hit Nail on the head, simple and basic interior. Let’s face it when you are stuck in traffic doesn’t matter how good it is on the track or whether it’s 0-60 in 2.8, u want to feel in a luxury environment. Just not exciting and doesn’t make you feel special. Ferrari does

Completely agree. For my taste the design of the Turbo S reached its pinnacle in the 991.2.

I just purchased my dream car a white 2019 911 Turbo S and I can't tell you how impressed I am with this car. No substitute!!!

Gt3 is all race turbo is blend of power and race both cars are bad asses on the streets and track

Just got a 2017 991.2 TTS and would not call it boring. In 2 weeks driven 1200 miles and enjoying the hell out of it.

Stock exhaust is tame, and to have fun you very quickly hit jail speeds if you want to rev it out. That’s why I’m partial to the GT cars

Agree with your conclusions! I have a 997tts, with a full Kline exhaust system, and the exhaust is the final piece to the tts puzzle!
