Josh's Reviews. it is not. Doesn't make sense how Zemo entered highly guarded facility with Bucky as dead psyhologist, he doesn't look like Russo (who played him) at all Spider-Man is shoe-horned, fights WW2 veteran, legend and his friends just because rich guy told him so (that's like Gary Conway's Punisher lol) Cap doesn't never wants to explain Zemo's plan to Stark or anyone else, Airport fight could be 100% avoided. Not to mention how he doesn't even care about collateral damage. In comic book Civil War as soon as Cap realized damage they did during fight he just surrendered to police Iron Man is absolute hypocrite, Sokovian tragedy was solely on him and no one in Avengers even mentioned that, oh he was brainwashed by Scarlet Witch you can say, well Bucky was too brainwashed when he killed his parents. Also his quote to "He was my friend" - "So was I", doesn't make any sense because since the day one Cap and Iron Man had shit relationship. Fury is nowhere to be find for some reason There is no "POV" in Civil War, it is just Cap who is mainly right versus super hypocritical Iron Man and half of Avengers that doesn't want remember Tony who started this whole mess in the first place, and with (for some reason) low-IQ Black Panther that doesn't want to listen anyone (solo movie did him more justice, just like Homecoming with Spider-Man)
This really highlights why Amy Adams is so perfect for Lois Lane. Her "innocent" features and aura, and charming/charismatic personality, makes it VERY believable that people would just "open up" to her, and tell her everything she needs. They "feel" they can just trust her...and we can believe that. (Random note: Especially after seeing her at Ma Kent's doorstep, I can't help picturing this Lois as having a past as a Girl Scout. Appropriate, considering a certain typical description of Superman....)
"The only way to disappear completely is to stop helping people altogether, and I sense that's not an option for you." She got that right. One of the comics get into that in rather gory detail. I mean, because of your super hearing, you constantly hear people screaming for help. And if you let yourself loose for a bit, people will have to redraw the map, assuming the humanity isn't wiped out. Taking over the world? That's COMPLETELY beneath Superman. I mean, what's the point of taking over a world made of cardboard? Even Lex had a moment in All-Star Superman where he got a fragment of Superman's powers, and boom, the first thing he saw was that everything was connected, and realizing how he can help to better the world. Taking over the world or doing something selfish didn't even come across his mind, simply because those things are completely beneath to someone with Superman's powers. Well, at least to a sane person (Zod is not so sane).
I remember when Lex Luthor got Superman's power for a day and see electromagnetic and then realize how small his perception to the world. For a moment, he realizes SuperMan see the whole world differently than him and regret going against SuperMan all those years until his death.
Zod wasn't trying to take over the world or doing anything selfish. He was trying to save his race, if humans and kryptonians switched shoes do you think we would show mercy to another race at the cost of our own? No.
@@elijahbezalel7432 Exactly, Zod simply did the "Normal Procedure" that Krypton did all the time to other planets during the Age of Expansion. Humans will do the same or much worse. Just look at ours history. Superman has the genes of all his species and look at what he did to them, NOTHING FOR YEARS and YEARS after. In a sense, Clark is a brainwash version of Earth who think of benefits of Earth over Krypton.
@@CuongNguyen-le5ic Actually, he only had Superman's power for a couple of hours (at most), but in his physical and mental perception, he spent a lot longer time. But yes, Luthor regretted all the years of his pettiness. Very ironic.
I’ve been a fan of Amy since Enchanted. Between it and MOS I’ve seen Night At The Museum 2, The Muppets, Leap Year, Julie & Julia and Trouble With The Curve. And in between the two times she played Giselle, she shows the capability to balance whimsy and sophistication in her range. One thing I admire about Amy is representing classic Hollywood glamour in the digital age
"The only way you could disappear for good is to stop helping people all together and I sense that's not an option for you." Oh, she knows Superman, all right. That's how perceptive Lois Lane is. Look at Clarke's face over there, he's like, welp she got me there.
For all those people saying "he isn't saving every body"....he has been doing that. He just moves from place to place and even Lois says that no matter what happens, he cannot stop helping people because that's not an option for him. He has been saving people for like over 17+ years.
This movie is highly underrated. Everything in this movie just nails it. Also watch John Campea's vision on this why he thinks Man Of Steel is the best comicbook movie of all time. And I 100% agree. Oh and btw, I have a major crush on Amy Adams. She is so incredibly gorgeous!
Hearing Amy Adams voice over is heaven on earth! I was 20 fresh out of high school when this underrated masterpiece came out! I’m 31 now and the DCEU that was my young adulthood is gone!
I’m so satisfied that Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Comics decide to make Lois Lane aware of Clark Kent’s identity as Superman very early on. Not only that, she proves to be as helpful and heroic to Clark Kent/Superman and even to the world, and not a stereotypical damsel-in-distress. I’d like to see their relationship go even further in future films like Man of Steel 2.
Massive props to Joseph Cranford and Jack Foley, who played old and young Pete Ross respectively. Even though Pete has just two lines of dialogue in the entire film, he basically carries what I call the "Smallville Conspiracy" - the way Clark's secret is protected during his childhood - with his facial expressions the entire film. First in the bus rescue scene when Clark rescues him, then in the Kent home scene with Pete's mother where he's visibly scared, then in the bullying scene where he shows his respect for Clark for the first time, then in the Ihop when Lois approaches him. The look on his face when Lois finds him speaks volumes about the secret he's had to keep since his childhood: "oh dear, I've been found out".
I think she was always meant to be older than him. She's the experienced reporter, has been doing the job for many years. Clark is the young farmboy who just made it to the big city. In every instance, Lois is always older. The grim reality of being Superman though is that even if she were much younger, she would die and he would live for hundreds if not thousands of more years. Kryptonians age very slowly on Earth. They will eventually die of old age but live many times longer than a normal human. Wonder Woman would be his ideal mate. She will live very long as well and their children would be like gods and also live to be very old.
I very much like this scene. Growing up, despite my love for the Superman/Lois Lane/Clark Kent triangle, I was always somewhat bothered by the fact that someone as smart as her could not find out earlier that the two men she spent the most time with were one and the same. I'm glad they ditched that for these movies. I was also wondering if since they had Lois find out, would they have Lex find out. Glad that was the case, too. He's the smartest Human on the planet. He had better found out, too...
***** Agreed. Yet from the standpoint of presenting a workable notion that alternates from 80 years of card tricks and hocus pocus, that a more natural human equation works for these two characters. Even DC thought the old premise was 'aged out' and progressed Clark and Lois unto something a bit more mature, though with better writing potential for readers. And then reverted back to non-progression after willing in a new group of creators to further *"The New 52,"* sadly. But as a movie contingent, that Zack wanted to go with this. It truly brought Superman into modern times for non-comic book readers.
***** You do realize that hierarchy of other skills has nothing to do with someone's intellect, right? Tim Drake figured out Batman's identity when he was very young. Even Bruce considered him a better detective, albeit less experienced. Tim Drake is basically if Batman was a good person, had a normal childhood, and stayed in school.
The sad thing is that his father sacrificed his life to protect his identity but eventually it came out..so his biggest regret was not saving his father.!
Don’t hate on Pete. He was one of Clark’s few childhood friends and even showed up to his funeral in BvS. Certainly doesn’t look like he exposed Superman’s Smallville origins to anyone.
I do think this movie was massively underrated. But I also think it didn't quite know what story it wanted to tell. The Smallville portion of the movie culminating in Louis finding Clark was absolutely brilliant. First they show you Clark's life, how he struggled with finding his place in the world - with people who didn't seem to appreciate him. Then they rewind with Louis meeting all the people who Clark helped along the way, sharing their stories with her. But then the movie turns into nonstop action scenes, which though good, are such a jarring tone shift from the low key, touching first half of the movie.
I agree I like the smallville scenes and first half but didn’t like were the flashbacks were placed and 2nd half just left me bored with the nonstop cgi destruction. I have done my own Edit removing kryton completely starting at the fishing boat and showing bits of kryton in flashback when he’s talking to jor-el on the ship. I also moved the flashbacks about. Added the bully flashback scene before he breaks sods neck and trimmed the fighting in smallville and Zod and superman fight at the end
Looking back, I've always thought they should have made MoS exactly like the tone and story of the first half of this movie here. Superman finding out who he truly is, maybe have the villain be human instead, or like superhuman(s). Shouldnt be a world ending threat, but at least like a city level threat and helps to introduce Metropolis/the world Superman. The villains being human shows that humanity is not as good as Clark hopes it to be, but thats why he is here. To spread the hope that he believes in to the people of Earth, to help people, even if they are undeserving of help. Then MoS 2 is the second half with Zodd. This movie challenges Clarks principles, now having to go up against his own kind. Maybe before this event, people didnt realize he's alien, maybe some guy with powers from somewhere or a "meta human", then Zodds arrival breaks that convention. And now, with the almost destruction of Earth AND Clark having to kill someone, his own kind no less, the status quo has completely changed. Now, the public that once respected and looked up to him, now fear him, his powers, and trouble that could come his way (and a great way to transition to BvS)
1:32 Lois is underestimating the internet. When someone takes a photo of Clark lifting some heavy tower or whatever, the flamers would say that it's photoshopped or that it's fake in one way or another. The only reason Lois had the strong willingness to track down Clark was because she faced him directly in that space ship. Most people would think that as urban legends and leave it at that.
Now i'm picturing something like the Flat Earth Society or Westboro Baptist running around the country denying the existence of Superman and coming up with weird explanations for sightings/things he's done, being used at least partly as comic relief.
I love how they made Lois Lane was passionate about exposing Superman's identity regardless of aftermath. Faora choking the life out of Martha must've been the coolest thing she ever seen.
So a reporter could piece together Superman's secret identity, but the military and the government can't, even with a 12 million dollar drone spying on superman.
Notice how he said "fear" at the end. In BVS when Batman says that superman is the one fearing Batman, hence batman almost became the very thing he seeked to destroy
everyone that bitched and complained that this superman sucks. well now were getting a completely different superman one who isn't Kal-El. Hope your all fucking happy. Give it another 10 years and people will be praising Cavill for what he did and will be begging for him to come back.
- The only way to disappear completely is to stop helping people altogether - Or just snap the neck of the only person who's bothered to track me down * awkward moment *
Crabbing boat in the background...imagine a season of deadliest catch with Superman working on one of the boats, would solve like 95% of their problems
Never realized Ma Kent worked at Sears. Snyder going for that verisimilitude in BvS by having her work at a diner, considering Sears is closing down stores left and right in real life. Plus the Smallville Sears probably got blown up in MoS anyway.
If only Christopher Reeves was still alive to watch this masterpiece of a movie would be legendary also the late Louis lane Margo kidder RIP to you and Christopher Reeves without them I don't think they would have found the man of steele who carries superman name thanks HENRY CAVILL hope they make a second man of steele. #legendsneverdie.
I always pictured Lois as being a little older and more experienced than Superman. This has been the case in some past incarnations of the lore. Margot Kidder was older than Christopher Reeve by about three or four years. Terri Hatcher was older than Dean Cain by two or three years. I didn`t mind Amy Adams being nine years older than Henry Cavill. For starters, in Man Of Steel, despite being in her late thirties at the time, Adams could have passed for early-mid thirties and they`re both adults. If Lois were real, it makes sense that she would be around the same age-range as someone like Adams. But I always thought that Anna Kendrick or prior to acting in Marvel`s Doctor Strange, Rachel McAdams, would have made as equally a good Lois Lane as Adams
@@iateoyeti5782 if that's the case then the Christopher Reeve Superman made a mistake because wasn't the little girl on the train Lois Lane. Clark was a teenager
"This scruffy yet distractingly handsome man could be a secret hero, a super... person of some kind. I'm not sure. But one thing's for certain: I'm gonna make out with--I mean, make sense of him!"

Unpopular opinion, but they did Lois discovering Clark’s Identity much better than in my adventures with superman. she’s not chiding him about lying to her, she’s not jumping off a building to prove a point. she’s just a really good journalist doing what she does best.
Jonathan Myska: To each his own. I think the Wonder Woman movie was equal or better to The Man of Steel. But of course, that is strictly based on our respective opinions and I do not wish to invalidate your view. Given the number of actors who have played Kal El, Henry Cavill was upper tier, but Chris Reeve was closer to the ideal (IMHO). And Gal Gadot (in your comparison movie) took the role to make it her own. She is a worthy successor to Linda Carter. No other actress ever has been.

Yoo Hoo still it could have ended better and for what’s worth I know a lot of people here are going to argue with me, but captain civil war was ten times better bvs because the story made more sense to me and you understand cap and iron man’s POV.
Josh's Reviews.
it is not.
Doesn't make sense how Zemo entered highly guarded facility with Bucky as dead psyhologist, he doesn't look like Russo (who played him) at all
Spider-Man is shoe-horned, fights WW2 veteran, legend and his friends just because rich guy told him so (that's like Gary Conway's Punisher lol)
Cap doesn't never wants to explain Zemo's plan to Stark or anyone else, Airport fight could be 100% avoided. Not to mention how he doesn't even care about collateral damage. In comic book Civil War as soon as Cap realized damage they did during fight he just surrendered to police
Iron Man is absolute hypocrite, Sokovian tragedy was solely on him and no one in Avengers even mentioned that, oh he was brainwashed by Scarlet Witch you can say, well Bucky was too brainwashed when he killed his parents. Also his quote to "He was my friend" - "So was I", doesn't make any sense because since the day one Cap and Iron Man had shit relationship.
Fury is nowhere to be find for some reason
There is no "POV" in Civil War, it is just Cap who is mainly right versus super hypocritical Iron Man and half of Avengers that doesn't want remember Tony who started this whole mess in the first place, and with (for some reason) low-IQ Black Panther that doesn't want to listen anyone (solo movie did him more justice, just like Homecoming with Spider-Man)
This really highlights why Amy Adams is so perfect for Lois Lane.
So true, she's believable and the best Lois Lane in any of the movies.
Amy's a hottie, and 8 years older than Henry in real life.
Hard Boiled Entertainment honestly I just started to like superman because of her Lois Lane. Her Lois Lane is badass and fearless.
The lois lane from smallville was the best she had looks and her personality was the best
Yet she is one of the worst lois lanes :) Erica durance is the best
Erica durance from smallville will always be the best.
"The only way to disappear completely is to stop helping people altogether, and I sense that's not an option for you."
She got that right.
@@elijahbezalel7432 Oh yeah. You make a good point.
Let's just say Amy Adams can never give a bad performance, even with the material she was given, she still does her best
YeH, her performance and the material, both were very good.
Henry Cavill is the best Superman ever .
Hes the worst superman? his acting is like a fucking brick wall, watch smallville for a amazing superman
oh so in the NEW AGE. 2018 you are suppose to not be able to act??
The NEW ERA OF SUPERMAN is HUMBLE AND INSPIRING. yes every single superman except Henry has been HUMBLE and INSPIRING.
I literally just explained why your fake ass opinon is wrong and you reply with yea-no ok :) live in fairy land
aditya mokashi he’s a pretty good superman but probably not the best ever
Quite literally the best Superman ever Henry is the the best ❤
"The only way you could disappear for good is to stop helping people all together and I sense that's not an option for you."
Oh, she knows Superman, all right. That's how perceptive Lois Lane is. Look at Clarke's face over there, he's like, welp she got me there.
She is Really Good Looking...
She has a ski slope nose.
@@jonothandoeser One of her best features, I'd say. Helps gives her a "Disney Princess" kinda look....
Agreed.
I just wish she looked like Lois Lane.
I personally don’t think so but that’s why beauty is subjective
@Al B what,it's her normal face with makeup. She looks like that in real life look at interviews etc
For all those people saying "he isn't saving every body"....he has been doing that. He just moves from place to place and even Lois says that no matter what happens, he cannot stop helping people because that's not an option for him. He has been saving people for like over 17+ years.
This is SUCH a great movie, hands down.
The best Lois Lane ever. Ever.
Ugliest Lois Lane EVER.
@@SleazyNice what?
This movie is highly underrated. Everything in this movie just nails it. Also watch John Campea's vision on this why he thinks Man Of Steel is the best comicbook movie of all time. And I 100% agree. Oh and btw, I have a major crush on Amy Adams. She is so incredibly gorgeous!
I really wish they could have kept this story going. This was such a sfrong way to depict lois lane.
1:48 Took my breath away when I saw his blue eyes and clean shaven face up close
Damn Pete Ross at 0:36 is really underappreciated in this movie ....Hope we get more friendship between him and Clark in future movies
“My father believed that if the world found out who I really was, they’d reject me…out of fear.”
Henry and Christopher Reeve's make the best to Superman's ever!
NitaCruise, you could actually pass as a Lois Lane also! 😜
also Brandon routh
Did you watch smallville?
@Norah Stewart the best red blue blur
Christopher Reeve is the idealistic Superman while Henry Cavill is the realistic one.
For some he was a guardian angel, for others he was a ghost... but one thing's for sure.. he made all of them dripping wet
Lmao 😂
1:40 - That line pierces through to the heart of Clark Kent and his struggle to be both human and super human. Love it.
Amy Adams is 9 years older than Henry. She was 38 when Man of Steel came out, Let that sink in for a moment
@R R same with Cavill, he's 39 now
Yes and he was still 29 in this film. Time flies…. Like Superman.
Well I was able to let it slide. Even though I would rather date someone around my age.
Superman's true kryptonite is helping people, it's the truest part of him he can't hide
All beauty and talent are in this man !!! You can not love yourself !!!!❤❤❤
My god zach made the best version of lois lane very well.
That's called 'Good Directing.'
Batman is as smart as Luthor, but since Batman admitted it himself, Tim Drake is technically the smartest man on Earth.
***** Ok I didn't understand a single bit of that sentence.
I like that Lois Lane...she is smart
The sad thing is that his father sacrificed his life to protect his identity but eventually it came out..so his biggest regret was not saving his father.!
0:56 Her face is like "So, you figured out the rumors eh?
They should have let Amy Adams narrate the entire film
That would have been chefs kiss!
Just a masterpiece movie from: DCU
Along with Wonder Woman and Aquaman
Stop snitchin, Pete.
I hate this version of Pete Ross lol.
Do we really KNOW that Pete told? Maybe Pete just gave her one little bit of information which lead to something else which lead to something else.
Don’t hate on Pete. He was one of Clark’s few childhood friends and even showed up to his funeral in BvS. Certainly doesn’t look like he exposed Superman’s Smallville origins to anyone.
Facts...Pete stays Snitching LOL 😂😂😂
That's funny because Amy played Jodi in Smallville. She tried to eat Pete Ross. Lol.
This was not massively underrated, but underrated nonetheless. Plus since zod came up in the second half, it had to be full on action.
@@gajaan316I still wonder how Brainiac would play into this...
Imagine if reporters were truly allowed to share their discoveries
So many actors in this movie were in the Smallville Tv series, including Amy Adams.
Damn. Amy Adams is hot
Best superman ever relatable thanks Zack
Notice how he said "fear" at the end. In BVS when Batman says that superman is the one fearing Batman, hence batman almost became the very thing he seeked to destroy
This is the cutest version of Luis no cap
❤💛💙 you #SUPERMAN 1 Septillion times.
Henry Cavill nailed it.
❤🤍💙 you #HENRY CAVILL 1 Septillion times.
everyone that bitched and complained that this superman sucks. well now were getting a completely different superman one who isn't Kal-El. Hope your all fucking happy. Give it another 10 years and people will be praising Cavill for what he did and will be begging for him to come back.
The restaurant waiter liked Clark
Navaneeth Krishnan nah, Lana was the girl in the bus.
Who wouldn't? 😂
Man I really love this move, and batman vs. super and Snyder cut...would like to get more from this universe :(
The new Aquaman is a mediocre send off
If goodness was a drop of water then Amy Adam’s face would be an ocean.
That’s beautiful the way you put it
- The only way to disappear completely is to stop helping people altogether
- Or just snap the neck of the only person who's bothered to track me down
* awkward moment *

The Witcher

Carry on Mr Cavill, carry on
1:13 How many times do you reckon she did this before he was ACTUALLY there?
Amy was so pretty in MoS (and American Hustle). She looked younger than her age.
Enchanted made me a fan of her
@ 1:48 "I don't want the world to see me, because I don't think that they would understand"
DC Squandered a great gift. MOS was incredible and such a great start to what could have been an amazing franchise.
Amy Adams as Lois Lane is Amazing
Zack Snyder, Chris Nolan, Hans Zimmer. ❤️
Man of Steel is THE best Superman ever !

1:22 - Joe Goldberg is that YOU?
She is like ten years older than him... But hell she is hot!!
She looks about 10 years younger.
jhon connorz lois has to be older than superman, it suits the character
I always pictured Lois as being a little older and more experienced than Superman. This has been the case in some past incarnations of the lore. Margot Kidder was older than Christopher Reeve by about three or four years. Terri Hatcher was older than Dean Cain by two or three years.
I didn`t mind Amy Adams being nine years older than Henry Cavill.
For starters, in Man Of Steel, despite being in her late thirties at the time, Adams could have passed for early-mid thirties and they`re both adults.
If Lois were real, it makes sense that she would be around the same age-range as someone like Adams. But I always thought that Anna Kendrick or prior to acting in Marvel`s Doctor Strange, Rachel McAdams, would have made as equally a good Lois Lane as Adams
really ??? i didn't see a difference!1111111111she looks like him and him have the same age
@@iateoyeti5782 if that's the case then the Christopher Reeve Superman made a mistake because wasn't the little girl on the train Lois Lane. Clark was a teenager
I don t know all the hate they have towards this movie and batman v superman people

She is lucky Clark was raised on good morals, imagine if he wasn't and she still keep looking for someone bad with godlike powers.
when superman speeds up when he fly it sounds like a gun shot
It's called a sonic boom
The cemetery, in various angles. looks just like the one my Dad was buried in 1965. I've learned later the movie cemetery was in northern Illinois, my Dad's resting place is around Fond du Lac, WI. A good vid for many reasons.
She is gorgeous 🥰🥰
Unpopular opinion, but they did Lois discovering Clark’s Identity much better than in my adventures with superman. she’s not chiding him about lying to her, she’s not jumping off a building to prove a point. she’s just a really good journalist doing what she does best.
I wish I was Superman so Amy Adams would come looking for me.
it is so sad that Justice League has shot the whole scene inside studio and green screen. MoS is the best DCEU movies.
I love Amy Adams.
I’ve been a fan of her since Enchanted
Best superman ever. Replace him and watch the tickets burn. Lol.
This is a better way forLois to find about supermans identity

This sequence itself could've been a film.
This movie is amazing, it's too bad the DCEU never made a movie this good again ( though Wonder Woman did come close).
Jonathon Myska bvs?
Hamani Omarah definitely not
Cavers definitely yes.
