    This is how beautiful Super 8 can look like when you get a high quality scan. Why wouldn't you want your footage to have the most detail it can have? Awesome film, thanks for sharing.

    I love that people are getting 8mm scanned at 4K. Some people say it’s worthless but it’s like you’re getting the absolute best out of the negative that you can. And it resolves a shocking amount of detail actually. Beautiful footage.

    Hey Ryan, quick question. I just bought 2 stocks of kodak 500T (a bit impulsive). Most of the time I want to shoot outdoors, with daylight. Do you have some tips on how to get the right exposure and how not to get a weird looking white balance? I am afraid that because of the 500 ISO the film will be sensible to overexpose...

    • @RyanNavazio
      @RyanNavazio  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use an 85B filter. This will knock the ISO down to 320. Most super 8 cameras have this filter built into it. I’ve shot 500T in daylight (with 85B filter) purposely overexposed it by 2 stops, still got good results.

    • @RyanNavazio

      85 filters basically just convert tungsten balanced film to daylight. So if you shot 500T film outdoors in natural light with no filter, the color would be very blue and nothing like your eyes might see. If you're shooting daylight balanced film outdoors you would'nt need to worry about using the 85 filter. The filters are easy to find and should be faily cheap. Hope this helps.
