I'm glad you're doing a book haul! I know that many hauls can feel like mere accumulation, but I love watching book hauls in order see what others discover. There have been plenty of books I would have never heard about if not for the distinctive tastes of a BookTuber showcasing their latest purchases. That's a key aspect of BookTube, I feel, not just discussing books but helping others find books (there are so, so many that fade out from public view). We never know what obvious find is someone else's lost gem.
Youre the only "booktuber" i watch anymore. A lot of those guys have nothing to say, and they seem to make it their identity to have packed bookshelves just for appearances. I dont get that vibe from you at all. Youre the salt of the earth! Thanks man.
I’m glad you’re happy with this channel - but if I could have a “book room” with shelves like that they’d be my backdrop too (except my books are not so pristine). There’s lots of genuine BookTubers out there, don’t give up.
Don't put off David Copperfield another day. I'm rereading it a chapter a day just for the deliciousness of Dickens' sentences and characters. Eat it now; then Daniel Deronda. So good.
@@davidnovakreadspoetry Attaboy. I'm also reading Charlotte Smith and Marcel Proust a chapter a day. It is my very fun and relaxing summer reading program.
@@PatriciaCrabtree-wm8xd I will seriously consider one or t’other for my next novel (when I finish the current one). I can grudgingly respect Dickens but I love Eliot.

Thanks for this feedback - maybe I’ll be less shy about book hauls. 🤔
Your newly accquired Pengiun of Daniel Deronda does look more reader friendly to me than the one you already had, so I say that's a good purchase.
Indeed!

I enjoy a book haul!
Oooh… you’ll only encourage me. 😂

Gosh I've had Copperfield sitting around for ages and it's just boring. I'll give it another shot.
@@scoon2117 It might help to know it was autofiction and Dickens' favorite of his books.
Hahahahaha, I’m trying to do everything! 😂🤣
