I might be late but for those who didn't know, in Redpine town, after beating all glitched sequences, a last one appears right left of the cat teleport, (should be near cat statue) your'll find a strange "boss" battle with questionable enemies (every status effects heals them so go for Non-elemental, also you can capture them). Items will appear glitched but restarting the game solves it (alongside a medal for winning)
Honestly, this example is even a bit of overkill. The capture formula needs a score of 90 to have a very low success rate, and 112 to be absolutely guaranteed. Basically, the formula goes [Base catch rate] x [low HP bonus] x [status condition bonus] x [defense debuff bonus] x [Equipment and good luck bonus]. Without listing all of the individual formulas in detail, you've got an HP bonus of 4, status bonus of 2.7, defense bonus of 3, and a good luck/equipment bonus of 2.2. Snowflake's base catch rate is 2, so when you multiply that all together, you get a catch score of 146. You actually overshot the mark by quite a bit. In this clip, Snowflake's HP is 45%. But with all this status/debuff stacked up, good luck, and good capture equipment, you could start having a remote catch chance around 61% HP remaining, and you'd be guaranteed to catch him at 55% HP remaining. If you want to apply this sort of stuff in general: 1. Wearing all the good capture equipment and getting good luck roughly doubles your capture score, and is easy to set up. 2. More stacks won't help you more. A single stack of bad luck helps exactly as much as 9 stacks of bad luck. You want lots of different conditions for a better score. 3. Positive status like Defense and Evade buffs, Brave, Morale, and Regen count AGAINST your status score. Use dispel first. 4. Just getting low HP isn't the most important thing. The max HP score you can get is x10 at 1% health remaining, but 10% HP gives you x9 multiplier. So a boss at 10% HP gives you a x9 bonus. From there, trying to shave it down to 1% HP increases your score to x10. But inflicting some statuses can boost that x9 to a x18. Drop its defenses, and you can get that x18 up to a x36. And keeping its health around 10% makes you less likely to accidentally kill the boss with counters and auto-summons.

Now just so some of you folks know 'cause not many played the version that's available on Newgrounds or the other sites that has the free version, both this area and 54 68 65 20 56 6f 69 64 (The void) are available to access by just playing the game and exploring normally. No premium content or need to purchase the Steam version. ??? can be accessed by collecting the 3 sacred jewels from the fourth game (They're scattered across the map in this game. You can find them in the chests in three rather.... creepy/disturbing locations.) and heading to what is essentially a diet battle mountain while 54 68 65 20 56 6f 69 64 (The void) is accessed by heading to 4 glitched zones that appear during the adventure and defeating the small glitches that show up in said zones. After defeating ??.@\'¬?]-?e??255 (aka The Glitch) you get several materials and two weapons The Knife and the Club of Withering. The latter doesn't seem to be a particular reference but the former definitely make me feel uneasy. Many thought it was another reference to Undertale but Matt shoot that down faster than Lance could get ready. It gives a stat boost of 150 (originally 100 before V2) Attack, 25 Accuracy, 25 Evade and gives perfect immunity to both Bad Luck and Death. The standard version changes the attack status with Death and is capable of boosting healing spells and the effects of buffs as well as countering attacks with a normal attack (which didn't exist before V2.) It's remixed counterpart loses the Death attack status an all the perks it had originally but instead boosts non-elemental attacks, randomly casts Sword Storm, may unleash Fork Frenzy during normal attacks and randomly gives the player Haste. Oh, and it's meant for Natalie. Yeah... Have fun with that.
You can also apply scorch and chill to reduce his stats a bit more. I think a full debuff build can also lower evade by more than 50% even with 30% resist but I'm not sure.
I am not sure about it, but if I remember correctly, no matter how big is your debuff stack, it doesn't matter. Tested it with putrid worm and low level net skill, no debuff gear, 2 capture gears. The result was around the same. Bosses can't be chilled, and it was hard to get proper scorch considering there was no red crystal and no sharpen in V1. #LateReplies
It's not as complicated as it looks,you just need to inflict Curse,Weaken,Bad Luck and some extras which could really help are gear that improve your chance of capturing and Good Luck,you can get the firecrackers spell from the Chinese New Year quest which gives you Good Luck and the enemy Bad Luck

Eh, what I did was just inflict Curse, Tired, and Weaken often and it worked.
But extra statuses might come in handy too...
Curse is defense an magic defense down tired is accuracy evade down weaken is magic attack attack down
Dark increase 50% with weak status and weaken aswell 50% tired makes pioson or virus increase 50%

For some reason i Accidentally used this strategy to capture him not knowing this was a Used strategy
I put every debuff statues on him and lower his life to 100000 but it didn'n work

You need to reach redpine before you'd even be able to fight snowflake and by that time, you'll have a lot of your skills maxed out.
