Every Black Widow I’ve ever seen up to this point has had that typical asymmetrical hockey stick type shape…..but this Savage ball looks different…..it looks almost symmetrical….with that rounded shape!
Another great video man. That Savage looks awesome, and I agree about the purple. Shelf appeal for sure, but a really nice shape. One of my teammates throws the ghost, and he’s been good with it. But I notice a lot of over under from some of the people I see throwing it. I just picked up the 3D, and I’m still getting acquainted with it. Definitely has a better look with more oil. Thanks for the review, and I look forward to the power torq review.
Did you actually use the ball in league or tournament other than just the review? If so how did you do with it or like it? I bought it when it came out,used it maybe twice in league and never picked it up again. To be fare tho never really gave it a shot… mite bring it out,and really give it a shot lol
I picked up the Savage when Bowlersmart put it on sale a couple months ago. I haven't had it drilled yet because my guy has been out of commission because of surgery. I have always loved the Black Widow line with my Black Widow Assassin being my favorite. I'm wondering if you've ever thrown the Assassin and how it would compare? (i know the Assassin is an old ball.) Thanks.
Just picked up the last 16lb one in stock on Bowlersmart at the moment. This will be my second purchased bowling ball, and I can’t wait to use it after seeing it in action!
Update, I own this ball and I absolutely love it. As a speedy lefty, I put up numbers with this when the lane breaks down. Domination out the bag first and bring home the bacon in the 3rd game with the Savage
Just a heads up, the Envy (Solid) is on the Obsession and the Infamous. I am pretty sure it is stronger than the aggression…Depending on surface Prep of course. I have the Domination, and it is stronger than the 2.0. The way I see it, the Savage is the pearl sister to the Domination.

Thank you! You beat me to it. The coverstock is Envy Pearl CFI and the Obsession/Domination have the Envy Solid CFI. These are the strongest in the Hammer line right now And wow, I too have the Domination and I love it. My Savage should be here on Thursday and I bought it to compliment my Domination.
I know this review is pretty old now, but I really like watching your reviews because our games are very similar. With that said, I would love if you get a chance to review the Black Widow Domination. My son and I both have them, and honestly I literally have to force him to use a different ball because he loves is so much. I would love if you could do more overseas reviews, because they are almost non-existent. Fair Warning...It's strong!!! I took my son's up to 5000 just so he could throw it for more than 1 game.
I just purchased the Ghost and it definitely reads the lane a lot earlier than the savage. Ghost definitely has a stronger backend once it hits the traction point on the lane. The savage reminds me of the black widow pearl (red & black) that came out years ago.
I like that savage over the ghost it's more usable with it being a pinch weaker. Plus something about that all white bugs me lol it gets dirty extremely quick

So Charles…. I just picked up my Black Widow Gold and it’s got a catastrophic crack. It was my go to in transition and the burn. So looking for some advice on replacing it before tournament season… Black Widow Savage or Scorpion Sting? Which one would be closest to the gold?
The black widow ghost would be the closest. But the cover on the new one is definitely going to be stronger. The savage would be a good option. But if we are talking about burn than the sting would probably be the best options.
Did you ever use the pink pearl carbon fiber black widow and if so, how does the savage compare to it. I skipped on the ghost cause didn't like the white

Nice simple review. I have a Ghost and it seems a little hard to control. Still have the 200s average but not as enjoyable as other balls.
I want to keep the reviews about the equipment! See it go down the lane. The good the bad!
