  • In this video, we're repairing a pair of Wolverine 1000 Mile Vintage Leather Boots. We removed the decaying old leather soles and replaced them with new ones. Rebuilt the heels and added rubber protective soles for durability, comfort, and longevity to the boots. All our repairs are done using only the top-quality materials on the market.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the video.

Awesome videos and amazing work. It'd be cool if you did a series on what makes a good or bad shoe. Do you do customizations? I've had shoes with features I can't find anymore on similar styles, like grippy soles, or different materials in various locations.

Great vintage outsole stitcher! I bought a Champion Universal one off of ebay for a whopping $40! I am by no means a professional cobbler, but I do like working on my own footwear and have resoled a couple of my leather soled shoes. Great video overall!

I have these exact same boots and the reason I bought the Evans style with the sole savers as opposed to all leather was so I could just replace the heel and sole savers when the time came. The caption says the leather sole is decaying so it needed replacement. It just looks discolored in the middle. Just like mine actually. I've also got a bit of warping and separation of the layers in the arch area of the soles.

The good news is that these boots are resoleable, which ensures your long-term comfort. To initiate the resoling process, please send pictures to info@kwshoerepair.com. Once we receive the pictures, we'll promptly provide pricing and details on resoling options.

Had mine almost a year now. People still giving me compliments on them. Is Saphir better than Kiwi; shinier?

How hard or pricey would it be to put a toe cap guard on Brand New Grant Stone Brass Boots in Kangaroo.... hsd a pair of Browning Upland Hunters in Kangaroo with Shark Skin toe cap and that Shark Skin was like Iron ... im convinced that toe cap gave me 7-8 years extra on the life of those boots ...

I have never seen a heel done that way before. What are the advantages of leaving a portion of the heel stack behind and blending in the new sole and heel? Cheers!

      Thank you for your question!
By doing this way, the structure of the shoe it remains the same ( Hight, and the width will remain the same; it was specifically requested by the customer to remain the same between heel and the arch ).
