    Find it awesome that ever since I've discovered Moses' channel (It's been over a year) it has slowly and subtly been effecting me.
    Eg. I recognised that an Asian couple were speaking in Korean next to me and started grinning like an idiot while phrases Moses says pop into my head like "Is that Korean!? Imma go smack em up real quick"
    I also had a moment in the gym where random Twi,Somali and Cantonese phrases popped into my head, I have no idea what triggered it. Also every time I lift and hit a new personal record I tell my cousin I levelled up and he stands there looking at me like I'm an idiot lol.
    Thanks for the awesome uploads Moses. PS. I figured out a great way to initiate a level up, just say "Excuse me" in whatever language you think the native speaks, as you reach for something on the shelf next to them in a shop. They'll be thinking they're going crazy.
    Just give me a shout out when you use it :D (Sorry for the long comment)

    • @Bane391
      @Bane391 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      DownFlex But the funny thing is I don't understand what they're saying. I simply recognize the language in public and feel like a genius, the next step for me is to make an effort and learn these languages and acquire some EXP.

      I love the reactions especially when they start speaking their native language in front of you. I had one time a lady speak her language in front of me with her family and I was speaking english and then after I finished helping her I started speaking to her in her native language and her response was so you basically understood everything we were saying and my response was pretty much yeah I did.

      Bane391 I've been following Moses for a couple of years now - watching videos, learning languages via his method and of course leveling up. And I too have had this same inadvertent acquisition/ability to know what language is being spoken around me but not necessarily understand what is being said. Cool stuff!

      That had to be absolutely the best !!
      Are you studying an Asian language or languages?? I'm interested in French. But I haven't given much thought to any Asian language's I live in Texas there are a number of Asian people on my job two Army Brats that speak German and that's it.

    You’re good, but your pronunciation is kinda off. Especially ㄹ. in some words you pronounce it like an L when it should be more like a rolling R(?). For example, 랑 is pronounced like a rolling R kinda, but a word like 말로 is pronounced like an L because there are two of ㄹ. And also, when saying how are you, it is more appropriate to say ‘오늘 기본 어때?’ with first face persons(?). The way that you usually ask it is only used when you haven’t see a person it a while and you’re seeing that person again after a long time.

    I think they are not noticing its Korean at first (unless they are from Busan, Jeju, etc.) because of how you speak it. You tend to speak quite fast to me and a little bit of the words rolling over each other. Seoul accent is more slow and deliberate even if they don't pronounce each syllable as clear as someone from Busan (but they tend to put infliction and a lot of speed in their accent). So I think it would actually sound more natural and clear to them if you were a little bit more slow in pronouncing and only flowing between the linked syllables (if that makes sense). Speaking fast in Korean to me feels like the person is getting worked up about something and I start to get scared.
    Also, I'm surprised that they acted so shocked in someone speaking Korean in K-Town, since you may be in a place where no one speaks English and you need to know some Korean. Whenever I'm there visiting family no blinks an eye if I say anything in Korean. But yea, its always crazy to me that I meet tons of people in K-Town that have lived there more than 10 years and don't speak English at all. Knew one guy that was living in K-Town for over 30 years and was just starting to learn the English alphabet.

    I think you need to "speak up" as my dad would always say, you speak so timidly people can't hear you. I'm not talking about the library you shouldn't speak loud in there. But like In all your other videos too I wish you would act more confident and raise your voice, I think you do it because you are trying to be polite. I thinks thats the reason you keep having to repeat yourself. But I still love you man haha.
