    Nice fishing... they are an invasive species so myself would not be throwing them back ... alive. Every dead Tench makes a space for an eel finned cat fish or cod, but to each their own. Good video.

      Yeah there are no Natives in this man made lake so any fish in there are great for the local kids to catch. Cheers for watching :)

    Looks like you found the easy way. In Germany Tench can be very tricky to catch. Prefers Blood Worm on size 8-12 hook, Very light pen-float next to reeds. Tends to play with bait. Lifts it up, the float falls over and then stays there without moving. After a while, it goes back into the prior position or drifts very slightly to the side. This may go on for some time. The trick is to find the correct moment when the Tench actually feels confident enough to seriously take the bait.

    I love Ozfish, you lot always do stuff near me or stuff im interested in. I live near Berwick Springs and wonder if there would be any Tench in there. Probably not coz it's chokkas full of massive carp.

    I ate a tench out of lakeside and it gave me gastro for two weeks :(

      must have been how it was cleaned and cooked... Gastro is caused by bacteria and that bacteria does not live inside the fishes flash. Its more to do with contaminants on its surface or where it was after it got caught. Tench ,in Europe, considered to be a good eating fish and more spookier, harder to catch and has really white flash. I have never heard anyone have any sort of stomach issues after eating tench. It can happen eating any fish so don't be afraid to catch and cook. However, the tasting qualities would be affected by the fishes diet in that lake...

      Wallah Habibi I've caught and eaten numerous trout out of lakeside and have had zero problems, it's all in how you clean the fish

    Why would you be putting a noxious species back into a waterway?

    • @OzFishTV
      @OzFishTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Because it is NOT a noxious Species
