one of the oddest things I've noticed in my many Millennia on this earth is how like every 10 years the media will write about a "New trend the kids are doing these days" and it's literally the same shit we have been doing since the beginning of time, but with a stupider nickname, and every time there are a significant amount of the last generation who will just go along with it like "Yeah, surely this must be new."
@@sammylastname8776 I'm mostly just talking about the phenomenon in general, not the first time I've seen an article just yapping about some ancient shit but with a different name and acting like people should be surprised. I feel like most of the time I see something like that it's in written form too, idk maybe it's just a consequence of written media being more desperate for attention so authors feel the need to pretend literally anything at all is significant enough to write about.
I don't understand how you can be a yugioh and gacha playing vtuber who does a series called Femcel Wednesdays and still be enough of an absolute normie to not know what volcel means
Hnestly from my perspective I'm tired of women that want to go to parties and concerts, and constantly want to go out and waste income, look I'm fine with going out occasionally, but not multiple times a week and then being blamed for not giving enough attention. I want a stable girl that's mature enough to think ahead and plan for stability in our lives and prepare for the future
It's pretty weird that people find it less icky just because it's a younger guy and an older lady. Reverse the genders and people suddenly start going eww. Speaks to the natural gender bias everyone has.
People in their 30s often look like they're in their 20s nowadays, sometimes even people in their 40s do, which has removed a significant barrier in dating older women. Simultaneously, young people are increasingly retaining juvenile lifestyles into their mid or even late 20s, which reduces their appeal as romantic prospects. After that, it's just maths.
hagmaxxing is just the inverse of what some women have been doing for years, dating rich older men. I imagine both sides commonly come with mommy or daddy issues

If it helps, this isn’t a real article and the image was made in 4chan

We love being 23 forever

The chain resolving explanation got me fuck lol
I see the logic behind that since dating genz just sucks at this point, but there's no reason to dress it with such terms.

Volcel- > voluntarily celibate
I uh.... hags.... yeah...🥴
I can't believe Gen Z invented dating someone older than you...
Finally I won’t be judged for liking older women. Yall are jumping on this idea I’ve been here for years
